BISI IBIDAPO-OBE DROPS BABY GIRL

Top yoruba act, known by most as Olabisi Omo Logba logba, real name Bisi Ibidapo-Obe, has put to bed. The bouncing baby girl, came into the world today- early morning of November 30, 2012.  Place of birth is the prestigious Reddington  Hospital on Isaac John Street, Ikeja, Lagos. The healthy young babe, came in at about 10AM. 

She was so elated when we called her to wish her well. And to show how strong and healthy she is, she was already on her way home when we chatted. 

There had been a bit of controversy recently bothering on the paternity of the baby's dad, though Bisi had refused to agree to or even deny the person many claims is the baby's dad. 

We are so happy for her and her daughter, her first child and we wish them well.

We think and that's our choice, that our very own Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde AKA Omo-T, should be amongst the sexiest women in the world. We are going to start a campaign that we hope, would get the attention of the editors at People's Magazine. There is the need for them to look outside America and Europe and point their binoculars or telescopes the way of Africa and Nigeria. 

And we can bet, without any reservations whatsoever, that once they look unbiased, they'll definitely come to a major decision, that Omotola is one of the sexiest women alive. Not only is she a fantastic role interpreter (thespian or actress), she's also a gorgeous lady(mother of 4 & wife) to the boot. They don't always come around this often, with the full package like this.

GENERAL BUHARI 1ST DAUGHTER, ZULAIHATU HAS PASSED ON

The 40 year old first daughter of the former Presidential Aspirant of the CPC, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, has passed on. Zulaihatu, died at the Nasara Hospital in Marafa Estate, Kaduna after giving birth to a very healthy baby girl. Prior to this new baby girl, she's had 2 other kids- Amira & Mohammed. 

She was born on December 5, 1972, meaning she passed away 7 days to her birthday and 19 days to her dad's 70th birthday, his own birthday is on Dec 17. Incidentally, her younger sibling- Halima is preparing for her wedding on December 22, only for this very sad occurrence. Her death is said to be connected to complications from sickle cell, which she suffers from.

May her lovely soul rest in peace.

KADUNA GET SET FOR VP SAMBO & GENERAL BUHARI

Kaduna State in the North of Nigeria in December is going to be in the news. Reason why is because, in that month that ends the year, the gorgeous daughters of these eminent Nigerians (VP Namadi Sambo & General M. Buhari) would be getting married to their heartthrobs.

The Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria's daughter, would be getting married in a ceremony, that we hear would kick-off from Wednesday, December 5, 2012 and as it is usual in the Northern part of Nigeria, the ceremony would last through the week till the weekend. So the Sambo's (the VP & his wife Amina) would play host to many dignitaries from all over Nigeria, who would definitely converge in Kaduna to celebrate with the VP's family.

Not too long after in the same month of December, on the 22nd of the month to be precise, all things being equal, the former Head of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari, Rtd, would play host to many Nigerians from far and near, as his gorgeous daughter, Halima would be getting married. The wedding fatiha would also hold in Kaduna, just like the VP daughter's own and we hear it would last for 7 days. We expect that it would be another gathering of Nigeria's who is who at both weddings. General M. Buhari, was the presidential candidate of the CPC (Congress for Progressive Change) at the last election.

While the VP is from Kaduna and was formerly the Governor of the State, General Buhari on the other hand is from Katsina, but lives in Kaduna. Interestingly, the General would be clocking 70, on December 17, 2012, so that means a double-pronged celebration for the family. 

We wish them well. Just as we were about publishing this post, we just heard that General Buhari's first daughter, Zulai 40, has passed on. She died on Thursday, November 29, 2012 after delivering a baby at the Nasara Hospital, Marafa Estate in Kaduna. She left behind her new born baby girl and 2 other kids- Amira & Mohammed. May the Soul of the dearly departed rest in peace. We don't now know, if this would affect the dates of the upcoming wedding ceremony.

Talk show hostess with the 'mostess', the pneumatically endowed Wendy Williams, known by most for her talk show, went to totally nude for a purpose recently. 

She's the latest celeb/star removing their clothes in protest against the use of fur.  In PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) new campaign, the TV star was not shy in anyway to tell the world- I'D rather go Naked than wear FUR. ELOY AWARDS 2012 ROCKS. CHECK OUT THE OUT &

It was a fabulous night out at the ELOY awards 2012 on Sunday, November 24, 2012. Venue was the beautiful Porsche Center, Akin Adesola, Victoria Island, Lagos. There were over 300 guests in attendance. The ELOY awards is gradually becoming a fantastic platform in the mode of Black Girls Rock in America and the idea basically is to focus on the women a bit more, reward the female folks in as many areas as possible for being outstanding during the year in review. 

Also the idea is to use a veritable platform like the ELOY to bring the much needed attention to something that has become a scourge for the women, in this case Cervical Cancer. ELOY means Exquisite Ladies of the Year award. This year's edition was another slam-dunk and kudos must go the way of the organizers, led by the very exquisite Tewa Onasanya, the Editor-in-Chief at Exquisite Magazine, they did their best and delivered on their promises. 

In attendance at this year's edition were the likes of Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Monalisa Chinda, Beverly Naya, Emem Isong, Joseph Benjamin, Toyin Ladejobi, Toyin Lawani, Yvonne 'Vixen' Ekwerre, G-Lory, Eni Balogun, Wonuola Ohio, Eva Alordiah, Dr Matilda Kerry, Kelly Thomson, Tiwa Savage, Lexy Mojo-Eyes, Kenny Okorie, Olubunmi Ademokoya, Aishat Bello,the new modeling sensation Favour Lucky, who at 14 years old, just won the NNSM 2012, and many others.

EME'S BADDEST CONCERT SET FOR DECEMBER 21, 2012

Empire Mates Entertainment, Nigeria’s leading record label, has announced that they will round up activities for the year with a ground breaking live-in concert tagged “The Baddest”.

The EME team comprises some of the most talented artistes in Nigeria ranging from internationally recognized stars like Wizkid, Banky W, and Skales to promising acts like Shaydee, Niyola and celebrity disc jockey, DJ Exclusive.

Empire Mates Entertainment has recorded numerous achievements this year including WizKid’s big win at the 2012 BET Award for Best International Act and also The Headies Awards as Artiste of the year.  Banky W scored a major feat as one of the few Nigerians selected to lift the Olympic torch in the UK. He was recently selected as a judge on the MTV Base VJ search competition.

A non-profit organisation, Business Leadership Awareness Group (BLAG) has concluded arrangements to honour three successful entrepreneurs for their invaluable contributions to humanity.

Former Golden Eagles’ captain and ex-international footballer, Kanu Nwankwo, Oil & Gas mogul, Walter Wagbatsoma and philanthropist, Sade Okoya will be honoured for their “heart of gold” contributions at a colourful event scheduled to hold towards the end of the year  in Lagos.

Speaking on the forthcoming event, the Executive Director of BLAG, Ossy Otegba, disclosed that the non-profit organisation is currently working on a yearbook that will promote these outstanding individuals so that they can be encouraged to do more for humanity.

Popularly known as Papilo, Kanu Nwankwo came from a humble background but rose to fame with remarkable exploits in football and business. Today, he owns a chain of businesses with diverse interests in oil, property, hospitality and photography.

The Owerri, Imo State-born businessman is regarded as one Nigerian with a heart of gold because of his immense contributions to the society. Through his many charitable works, it was no surprise that Nwankwo was a made a UNICEF’s ambassador for two consecutive years.

A few years ago, the former soccer star encountered a life threatening heart ailment but miraculously got healed after surgical operations in the United States as well as prayers from family, friends and fans all over the world. Immediately he got healed, Kanu returned to active football and used his fame to help assist numerous others also battling with heart ailment. He supported many charity organizations including Heart of Gold Hospice and later launched the Kanu Nwankwo Heart Foundation - a non-profit organisation that raised millions of Naira for children with heart related diseases. With the help of Kanu Nwankwo, many have been treated both at home and abroad and are now living healthier, better life.

 

Walter Wagbatsoma has made a name for himself as one of Nigeria’s most successful businessmen in the energy sector. He is the co-founder of Ontaro Oil & Gas, a pan African oil and gas company that is notable for its delivery on assured promises. Walter’s  track record as a professional in the banking and energy sectors speaks volumes. His selfless contributions to humanity also endeared him to many within and outside the country.

Humble and cheerful,  Walter Wagbatsoma, who hails from Delta State, previously worked with the audit department of Shell Petroleum Development Company in the 1990s. Walter  later moved to Zenith Bank, Ecobank, FSB International and Trade Bank where he displayed his leadership and entrepreneurial skills to the satisfaction of his co-workers. Every  one who knows Wagbatsoma would always testify to the fact that he is a goal getter and certainly not surprised when Walter  won the Leventis Group’s account for Zenith Bank several years ago.

After a stint at Trade Bank where he helped establish the energy subsidiary, walter  Wagbatsoma later moved into the oil and gas sector. His wealth of experience and customer loyalty helped him get to the front burner of the energy sector within a short period of time. He made an overwhelming success of his energy business but never forgot to invest back into the lives of the less privileged in the society. Fondly described as a “man with a heart of gold”, Wagbatsoma also used his influence to resolve conflicts in the Niger Delta. Some of his philanthropic deeds include contributions towards eradicating malaria and HIV/AIDS in African countries. One of Walter's  establishments, Canaan Logistics also donates about 80 per cent of its annual profit to charitable organizations working with children.

An Accounting graduate of University of Lagos, Walter Wagbatsoma also earned his Masters degree in Business Administration in the same institution. Walter  is happily married to Otsaye and blessed with two lovely children.

 

Sade Okoya, wife of top industrialist, Chief Akanni Rasak Okoya, is one of the nation’s most glamorous women and socialite per excellence. Tall and elegant, the graduate of Sociology from University of Lagos knows how to get everyone’s attention with her fab attires. However, Sade is not just a smart woman with a pretty face, she is one woman that has a heart of gold for the less privileged. Things are definitely on the upward swing for this our young, tall and very stylish dude. That he is blessed with cash is not a new story, the highly connected young man in his very early 30's (if things had work well, he would have gotten married to the gorgeous daughter of Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, the former Governor of Abia State, who we hear is his Godfather). He seems to have his fingers in many pies and all seem to be bringing home the money. One of his business ventures known by all is oil & gas firm, which definitely must be the cash cow.

According to our recent findings, Chima come December 1, 2012, would be opening his new baby, a new business venture that we hear is very close to his heart. The name of the new baby is Le Paris, it is an 18 luxury suite, boutique hotel located at Babatunde Dabiri street, Lekki Phase 1.  From our little findings, we hear he didn't spare expenses at all to make the place a stand-out one.

Curiously, hotels and clubs/joints seems to be the new money making venture, the very liquid are opening every where nowadays. We hear Hotels, especially the boutique ones, are like home away from home, where people can have their 'clandestine' fun without anyone nosing around. While with clubs/joints raking in on the average 2 to 5 Million or much more on a good night, why not?

120 PAIRS OF CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN, 30 HERMES BAGS &......

What would just one person do with 120 Pairs of Christian Louboutin, that's just one brand oooo, not to talk of several other brands of shoes, that's not all. Then same person also has in her collection 30 Hermes bags, costing on the average about £5000 each, meaning for the Hermes bags alone that about £150,000 Pounds. The Louboutins at about £500 each would come to £60,000. That's £210,000 for just 2 brands in the wardrobe of a 28 years old worth an estimated £300 Million Pounds.

Mind you, the Hermes bags is only estimated at its cheapest ooooo, some go for between £5000 to as much as £150,000 Pounds. Remember also, that the Louboutins are not the Nigerian type ones ooooo. So welcome to Tamara Ecclestone's world.

Most probably if a poll is conducted, its might just reveal that Nigerians wear more Louboutins and carry more Hermes than other nationalities of the world.

DR WALE BABALAKIN'S DILEMMA- THE SAGA CONTINUES

Just like they had threatened to do, the EFCC has gone ahead to file charges against Dr Wale Babalakin and 4 others for allegedly helping to  launder about 3.4 Billion Naira for the disgraced former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, who is currently in jail in London, through Mauritius. 

The whopping amount was earmarked for the purchase of a Challenger aircraft. Those charged with the brilliant lawyer are Alex Okoh, Dr Babalakin's company Bi-Courtney Ltd, Stabilini Visinoni Ltd, another company where Dr Babalakin is a director and Renix Nigeria Ltd. 

In all 27 count charges were filed against the 5, at the High Court of Lagos, Ikeja Division. Their arraignment in court would be coming up later.  According to report, there is the risk of a 5 years jail term for the accused if convicted of the offense.

One of Nigeria's best entertainers right now, the one & only Ice Prince, had his birthday very recently. We weren't there though we were invited, but we were able to get some of the pictures of the birthday shindig for your viewing delight.  The Chocolate City star has had a fabulous few years and he is still garnering more and more awards as the day goes by. Music Meets Runway 2012 Unveils Participating Designers

MUSIC MEETS RUNWAY (MMR) unveils the names of nine of Nigeria’s brightest new talented fashion designers to watch out for out of a total of ten expected to showcase at this year’s event. The 10th designer showcase will come from one of Nigeria’s established design house who will be headlining the runway, this will be revealed closer to the date. The anticipated event is taking place on the Monday 24th of December 2012 at the Eko Hotel and Suites Expo Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.
