The fabulous Lagos fashion and lifestyle Multi-brand concept store, L'Espace has launched it's own Digital Magazine!

The digimag which has been christened as 'The Loot' is an amazing collection of new trends, new muses, new designers and all the awesome things that make for a fantastic wardrobe.

The debut edition of The Loot takes readers through a mind and fashion journey with the OAP Fade Ogunro, who spills her gut (metaphorically speaking, of course) on women, fashion, business, family and pursuing happiness.

L'Espace is the biggest contemporary luxury fashion, beauty and lifestyle store in the country, they continue to explore and promote African fashion in innovative ways. The multi-brand concept store was established in December 2012 by the co-founders, Isoken Ogiemwonyi and Wonuola Okoye, to push the boundaries of fashion retail in Nigeria and eventually the African continent.

Last Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Federal Palace Hotel, on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, one of Nigeria's brightest stars in the person of Chude Jideonwu launched his thought provoking and timely book titled- "ARE WE THE TURNING POINT GENERATION" How Africa's Youths can drive its urgent revolution; to a resounding applause.

It was a nice gathering at the event as many came to celebrate with the author, who is undoubtedly one of the shining lights of his generation in Nigeria. Apart from this new book by the fantastic writer, Chude is one of the brains behind the incomparable Future Awards- which is an annual award ceremony that recognises and gives awards to youths between the ages of 18 & 31, who have had outstanding achievements(s) in the year under review. The awards ceremony has already seen many very successful seasons.  Chude is also one of the great minds behind the highly successful Y!Naija publication, while he is the executive partner in charge of Red Media, one of the fastest growing media content and communications outfit in the country.

Some of those we saw at the occasion were the likes of Funmi Iyanda, Femi Falana SAN, Pat Utomi, Hon. Oba Sikiru Adetona, Ogbagba II, the paramount ruler of the Ijebu Kingdom, clocked the ripe old age of 80 a few weeks back and for his royal majesty and his subjects far and wide, it was celebration time galore. Kabiyesi is one of the most respected royal fathers in the country and one of the most revered by the Yorubas. A fearless, straight to the point king, who says it as he sees it.

The Ijebus are known all over the world to love celebrations of all kinds, it is said that their love for partying and merry making is one trait that distinguishes them from others. Every year, they make a show of their love, affection, trust and loyalty of their king openly at the Ojude Oba, it is always a spectacular show or event to see annually. So on this particular occasion when their most loved king clocked 80 years old, they didn't hesitate to roll out the drums.

So on May 10, 2014 loads of distinguished Ijebu sons & daughters and their friends came from far and wide, to celebrate, the Paramount ruler of the Ijebu kingdom, HRM, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Alaiyeluwa, the Ogbagba II, the Awujale of Ijebuland.

Kabiyesi was born on May 10, 1934. He was elected to ascend to the throne of the Awujale on January 4, 1960, and was coronated as the Awujale on Saturday, April 2, 1960. At the time he was made the King, he was just 26 years old. The revered royal father has ruled over his domain now for 54 good years.

Some of those we saw at the party were many royal fathers, the likes of the Alaafin of Oyo- Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Oba of Lagos- Oba Riliwan Aremu Akiolu, Alake of Egbaland- Oba Adedotun Gbadebo III, Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe and others. Some others at the event were the likes of former Governors Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Aremo Segun Osoba, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Oyin Adenuga needs no introduction whatsoever, she's the very well mannered and elusive daughter of the chairman of Globacom, who is most probably the 2nd richest Nigerian in the whole Universe, some even says he is most probably Africa's 2nd richest person.

The eligible bachelorette is as gorgeous and as self effacing as they come. We recently caught sight of the beautiful one at an occasion looking all sweet and elegant in a beautiful blue well  tailored outfit showing a little glimpse of hmmmmm .....cleavage, by one of Nigeria's brightest designing gem in the person of Banke Olopade. Her beautiful make up was done by BMPro's Banke Meshida-Lawal.

No one and we are so sure everyone agrees, would dispute the fact that Toyin Saraki is one of the constant and most consistent style icons in Nigeria. We have never seen her carry a foot wrong, ever simple, elegant, on point and very distinguished looking. Background and upbringing surely does add so much to one.

The style icon and unrepentant philanthropist, who is the founder and president of 'The Wellbeing Foundation Africa' was in London recently to attend the 'Portrait of Africa Event for Charity. The gorgeous wife of the former Governor of Kwara State was one of the distinguished guests that was invited to the event.

Another of the distinguished guests was Sir Bob Geldof, a popular musician, sometime actor, political activist and founder of Band Aid, a charity organisation helping to fight against poverty in Africa. Also there were Kate Woods-Marketing Director of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation (OOF) & Anne Welsh-Vice Chairperson of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation.

They were at Bonhams, a privately owned British auction house, in fact one of the oldest and largest auctioneers of fine arts and antiques to view some artworks and raise funds for charity through auction.

One is royalty to the core in the person of Olori Ladun Sijuwade, one of the Oloris(wives) of one of the most flamboyant kings to hail from Nigeria, Africa, in the person of His Royal Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, Olubuse the 2nd. HRM Oba Sijuwade rules over Ife, which some adherents believe is the cradle of civilisation. Olori Ladun is one of Nigeria's top enduring beauties of all times. She hasn't aged since we have known her and we are just of the belief, that she has a very good helping of the dew or fountain of youthfulness flowing through her veins. The grandmother is always effortlessly stylish.

Another of our subject, is the ageless Yeyeoge of Lagos, that means (Mother of Style of the Centre of Excellence and Aquatic Splendour) in the person of the one and the only, Chief Mrs. Opral Benson, the wife of the late Adekilumo of Lagos, the late Otunba TOS Benson SAN,CFR. Madam is royalty in her own way. She's one of the pioneers of the school of beauty in Nigeria, still ever so stylish at an old age.

Another of our subject, is the incredibly gorgeous fashionista of note, known to many as Senator Daisy Danjuma. The 60 plus epitome of grace, style and charm is the loving wife of one of Nigeria's wealthiest men, in the person of General TY Danjuma rtd, who is the former Chief of Army Staff of the Nigerian Army. Senator Daisy Ehanire Danjuma, is the Executive Vice Chairman of Sapetro, one of her husband's major investment. Sapetro were the main supporter of the AFWN 2014. One of madam's son just got married a few weeks ago, and she's eagerly awaiting the birth of her grandchild.

Not left out of this group, is the newly resurgent Biola Okoya, the incredibly stylish daughter of billionaire industrialist Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya, the man behind the Eleganza fame. Biola of late, has enjoyed doing the 'Houdini' coined from the name of the famous magician of yore, known for his art of disappearing and appearing. Though she has recoiled a bit from the lime light of late, Biola is still as stylish as they, and stupendously gorgeous, her skin seem to glow with a super radiance that we would love to find out about the secret. The maiden edition of the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria, an off shoot of the very successful Africa Fashion Week London which is in her 3rd season held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the main hall of the Eko Hotel. Victoria Island, Lagos.

Truth be told, all other existing fashion shows had better take heed and that's because the AFWN has arrived with a bang and is going to give all comers a serious run for their money from now on. Many didn't give this fashion showcase a chance to succeed, but on the day of the event and at the end of the day, with what many saw, the only thing most could say was that the organisers did a fantastic job and that they were astounded beyond measure, first by the fantastic organisation that was obvious, then also by the showcase of talents that was displayed.

The AFWN platform was specially created by the founder Ronke Ademiluyi to give the required opportunity to super talented, but unknown designers who without opportunities like this might not have gotten the encouragement, the necessary push and launch pad to make a career out of their passion.

By virtue of the AFWN, many unknown designers who most assuredly would have given many of the well established ones, a big run for their money were discovered. So very soon, prepare to hear about some unknown creative gems taking the scene by storm to the delight of many.

A very big thank you to Senator Daisy Danjuma for her massive support and for her putting her money where her mouth is.

One of the top celebrities that might have attended the nuptial ceremony between Kim Kardashian & Kanye West in Florence, the capital city of Tuscany in Italy is none other than Abisola Kolapo Daisi, celebrity first daughter of His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Abisola who had lived in Los Angeles, California, USA sometime ago and counted as friends, some of the celebrities and stars, was seen in some snapshots, with a few of those who were sure to attend what many have come to tag as the 'Celebrity Wedding of the Year' the KIMYE Nuptial. At least judging by some of the snapshots we have come across showing the mother of 2, posing with and taking pictures with the likes of tennis star Serena Williams, who is a close friend of the Kim, another shot saw her with Lala Anthony who is another good friend of Kim and another shot saw her with some others that we couldn't readily ascertain. The shots were taken in Paris, France at one of the several pre-wedding parties held for Kim before the main deal in Florence. Lala Anthony one of the stars at the party and one of those in the snapshots, had worn to the particular party, a $4550 dollar brown Givenchy Harness Draped Silk Jersey Dress.

So it is most probable, that Abisola was one of the few distinguished guests invited to attend the one in town ceremony. Any which way, she's a celeb in her own right, who moves in the circle of American superstars. Remember that Kelly Rowland, the super star musician, who was a former member of Destiny's Child was at her store in Lagos sometime back to engage in some retail therapy, while visiting an old friend after her Lagos concert, long before Kelly's visit, another friend in the person of  Malika Haqq, a very close friend of Khloe Kardashian, had also visited her many months back, when she had just opened the said Lifestyle store.

This is as 1st class, as any world class, bar, lounge and restaurant should be. Good area, fantastic ambiance, so very plush and well appointed that one would just luxuriate in the beauty of the place. That's not all, the services offered is top notch, with well trained staff members.

The most fantastic part of the whole package is the food served, it's a mixture of well made continental dishes and light food that would whet one's appetite, any time ad any day. The bar guy is an expert mixologist that would impress in no small measure, with his delivery on cocktails and mixes.

This 1st class place, where we have caught a glimpse of a few stars and celebs hanging out, with a few from the corporate world in that environs is aptly called 'Elias'. And it is located at the left wing of Ocean Bay Mall, on 24, Idejo Street, opposite the Lagoon Hospital, off Adeola Odeku on Victoria Island, in Lagos. The mall itself is just a stone throw from the famous Picolo Mondo on Idejo Street.

The idea behind the place, is a place to wine, dine, relax and network in a convivial atmosphere, and they have a few super fantastic entertainment ideas up their sleeves to help keep their patrons totally titillated.

So just in case you are on the Island, please pay them a visit.

The Pop icon, was recently seen wearing a customised gold encrusted Versace sneakers worth N1 million Naira, during the video shoot of music giants, Tunde and Wunmi Obe on Tuesday, May 20, 2014.
