KIKI KAMANU FOR LFW 2011

She's one of Nigeria's most talented designers, and she recently had a very exotic wedding ceremony in faraway Istanbul,Turkey where she wowed everyone with her gasp inducing RED!!! wedding dress at a very beautiful ceremony to her long time beau, the very exclusive ceremony was photographed by one of Nigeria's best photographers in the person of Kelechi Amadi Obi, many friends from all over the world celebrated the 2 love birds. The news making the buzz right now is that , the former model now turned designer would be showcasing at the very famous 'LONDON FASHION WEEK 2011', there would be a fashion show on February 20,2011 at 3.15pm, its part of the FASHION MAVERICK SHOWCASE at the Strand Palace Hotel, 372 Strand, London, WC2R 0JJ and there would be an exhibition at the same venue the next day by 11am.

Kiki began her fashion journey at age 5,as a child model and later graced the runways for several designers including CHANEL & GUCCI, she began designing her own fun clothes, when she was 11.

Educated across 3 continents Africa-Nigeria,Europe-France & the Americas-USA. An avid traveller, she has been to more than 50 far flung destinations on 5 continents and all this cultural influences  are very visible in her very diverse creations. She later took up fashion fully after quitting her job as a corporate event planner at Harvard University and from that time till now has not looked back.






...Blazing the fashion trail since 822A.D, her motto was stirred by the fascinating story of a moor,named Ziyab, who lived in the 8th century Baghdad & Andalusia. Ziyab is said to be far ahead of his time, credited with the introduction of the open-toed sandals, the change in wardrobe we enjoy every season, fringes(bangs) in the hair,the modern day stringed instruments the lute and many other firsts. Kiki is constantly motivated by ZIYAB'S spirit of originality,creativity & vision and continues to channel for inspiration as she designs her pieces.
