WHAT'S UP WITH HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY THE OONI & WIFE- WURAOLA?

It was just about a year ago, that the whole merriment and fanfare began, it was like the highly revered king had fallen in love forever and ever with a match, made in the stratosphere. It was the union of ancient connection, with Ife and Bini coming together to forge a union supposedly blessed by the gods of the land.

According to the gist then, out of the many could have been the one, Olori WuraOla was the preferred choice of the ancients, the exception. The dieties being immortals with the abilities to see out of the ordinary, must have seen something that others who are just mere mortals didn't see, being mere puns in the hands of the gods and goddesses alike. So who they picked, was the irreversible choice that must be accepted.

More after the break.

So their choice having been made, their preference having being made known to all and sundry, it was celebrated to high heavens, with the expected funfare and fan fare, so what the world was now expecting after such a "blessed union", with such innumerable numbers of dieties involved and in support, was the celebration of the cries of joy of a new baby or babies, depending again on the benevolence of the gods; those who do as they wish and couldn't be questioned. But alas what is on now, what the rumour mill has been spreading and that needs proper confirmation to verify for sure, is that the centre cannot seem to hold together again in the union between his imperial majesty and his beloved Wuraola. And in order to help stem the tide, the Olori has had to run to an elder in the land, in the person of Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria to intervene.

Could the so called gods be blamed? Expecially for what the rumour mill is claiming to be the "death of a marriage" that was supposedly made in "heaven" and has now supposedly hit the rock? How could what seemed so perfect, so right and in just a year, go awry and so wrong and crumble just like that? These are the million dollars questions on the lips of so many now.

What could have suddenly gone wrong that the elders couldn't nip in the bud or fix without it spilling out for mere mortals like you and I to smirk and drool at?

What could the famous Olori have done, that is so despicably bad that even a diety of the caliber of the Ooni himself, he himself being one of the gods, couldn't have overlooked as mere mistake of a mortal subject and especially a wife?

According to the unconfirmed gist, some things akin to pretence, fabrication, play-acting especially over somethings that were very important and other things might have been the issue. All in all the claim is that, the past one year might have been an "acted script". There was a time that the Olori was claimed to have been pregnant, but apparently things didn't work out as planned. Maybe this also might have added to the strain that might have caused the called issues too.

If truly this goes the way of the first, this been the king's 2nd marriage, it would have become a 2nd time experience for the revered kabiyesi, though the first was before he ascended the throne of his forefathers and now this one after the ascension to the throne and just 1 year anniversary of the same.

If the above be the case, it would mean a mad rush by eligible bacholorettes or spinsters from all over the world who would all believe they can fit the bill or even that they have what it takes to become a queen (Olori). As a matter of fact, kings in Africa according to tradition are allowed to marry as many wives as it pleases them and that they can care for. So a monarch of the height and caliber of the Ooni marrying just one is somewhat uncommon. The number of wives of African kings are part of the so called wealth of such kings by tradition.

So would the gods backtrack their support and now pick another to give such support and blessings to again? Let's wait and see the "actings" and decisions of the so called gods to see what it would lead to again.

The very handsome and relatively young monarch at 41, who it is claimed to be very well to do, already has a young maiden, Adeola Aanuoluwapo Ogunwusi in her early 20s as his beloved daughter from an earlier association who is a graduate from the University of Manchester.
