SEGUN AWOLOWO JNR RETAINS POST AS NEPC BOSS!

Olusegun Awolowo Jnr.

Maybe it is a testament to good job well done as the amiable boss of the NEPC (Nigerian Export Promotion Council), the incumbent Executive Director &  Chief Executive Officer of the Export Promotion Council in the person of Olusegun Awolowo Jnr, the first grandson of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who was the former Premier (in fact the first premier) of Western Nigeria, has been retained as the boss of the important Government Parastatal.

The first tenure of the handsome Segun Awolowo had ended late last year 2017, but since the Federal Government hadn't chosen another person to head the important council nor sacked Segun, the trained lawyer was still calling the shots, till the announcement yesterday made by the FG to retain him again as the ED & CEO of the NEPC.

Segun Awolowo Jnr, was first appointed to the post in 2013 till 2017, and with this new appointment and assignment it's another 4 years tenure till 2021 that would be 2 years into another tenure by PMB, if he were to run for and win another election for another 4 years tenure. For the man who seem to have done well at the council and at his assignment, it is a good opportunity for another many years of exhilarating performances.

It would be recalled that in 2016 however, there were some sponsored attacks against his tenure and leadership style at the same parastatal, the waves of attacks he was able to overcome very admirably at that.

Segun Awolowo Jnr, is one of the 2 kids, the other being Pastor Funke Awolowo (female), of the first son of the late sage, in the person of Segun Awolowo Snr, who had passed on, on Wednesday, July 10, 1963, at the age of 24. Segun read Law at the former Ogun State University now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
