AFTER PUBLICLY GRANDSTANDING EX-SENATE PRESIDENT DR. BUKOLA SARAKI NOW PLEADS & PREFERS OUT OF COURT SETTLEMENT ON THE DEMOLISHED ILE-ARUGBO

The Government of the day in Kwara State led by his excellency Governor Abdulraman AbdulRazaq, have been consistent in their assertion that the land upon which Ile-Arugbo was built by the Saraki clan was illegally (inappropriately) acquired and so has no proper documentation. But the Saraki clan led by the former Senate President of Nigeria, who was also a 2 termed Governor of the state have been claiming otherwise, that the land was properly acquired by them, but in truth have never been able to show any proper documentation to affect their claim.

So in the aftermath of the so called illegal and hasty demolition of the place as claimed by the Sarakis, as government of the day had gone ahead to lay claim to what actually belongs to her, in order to restore order and actually build on the land what it was actually earmarked for, the Saraki clan had done what was thought to be the best and most appropriate in the situation, which was them instituting a court case to get damages for the perceived slight and illegality meted on them.

But alas, against all the expected  legal fireworks from them to show that the Government had done them bad and that it was a personal vendetta that was carried out against them as claimed and therefore it was an illegal process that was carried out against them, they have now instead pleaded for an out of court settlement instead, in the place of their former grandstanding, which they had first adopted.

The thing is, if you were openly accused of perpetuating a glaring illegality and you have proof contrary to such flagrant accusations, wouldn't you be too happy to make your opponent look stupid by biting the dust? So it has now been found out as revealed by the court officials, that the only document that the Saraki Clan actually submitted to buttress their claim of ownership of the disputed land was only a mere letter of allocation without any other documents, like either a right of occupancy or even a  certificate of occupancy! How then do you lay claim to the land, a whole you that was a law maker at the highest level possible?

Even the mere letter of allocation itself had 90 days moratorium from the date it was issued for the conditions stated therein to have been met and that was since 2005 and even with that nothing was done.

So now we all understand that they actually had no case from the get go and that they were just rabble rousing to get sympathy.

UNVEILING THE ULTIMATE MULTIMILLIONAIRE LAGOS TRANSPORT UNION BOSS MUSILIU AKINSANYA AKA 'MC OLUOMO. He makes at least 1 billion annually. '

... Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo

... with son

... in business class

...With Governor of Atlanta & son

... with daughters (6)

... with sons (3)

Musiliu Akinsanya is the super popular State Chairman of the Road Transport Union in Lagos, the State of Excellence. Those who coined the phrase Eko for Show must have had their reasons for coming up with such a tag and truly so, there's no lie about the tag. Everything about Lagos and those who live there and those who are from there is loud for a purpose. So just imagine

Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya who is better known or more popularly known as MC Oluomo, apart from being the state chairman of the transport union in Lagos right now, a post he assumed very recently, after being the state treasurer for the last few years, is also an unflinching disciple of the National Leader of the current ruling party the APC, in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban Borgu. In fact the story has it that, he is one of the strongest and uncompromising foot soldiers of the Asiwaju, one who makes sure that the directions and words of the leader, he holds in high esteem is followed to the last letter. And for his undoubted and unflinching loyalty, he is well rewarded too.

His nickname MC, his famous alias was coined from his given name Musiliu by a much older lady he used to know growing up, who now resides in Canada when he was still in primary school and it stuck and Oluomo is his chieftaincy title given to him by as many as 22 kings from (Ejigbo, Isolo, Oshodi & Igbeba area) led by the Oba (Osolo) of Isolo, Oba Kolawole Kabiru Adelaja Agbabiaka.

That loyalty to his boss and in fighting over who should be the leader of their union nearly cost him his life though, during the campaigns at the last elections, as he was nearly annihilated, but for divine providence. According to the folklore, he was stabbed with a poisoned dagger, complications from which he wasn't supposed to have survived from, but someway, somehow, somewhat he did. And from being just a treasurer of the state union then, with his domain or main base in Oshodi, he has now risen to become the overall boss, with all authority in Lagos, the State of Excellence. It didn't come easy though.

To head (become the head honcho) or get to the top of the transport union across the South West states of Nigeria, is not an easy feat or task at all. Most often to get to the post, it's like a war is declared and the likelihood of surviving such war or battle is 50-50, with either the person passing on untimely or that the supporters would die or get maimed as they try to install their own. It is always a free for all, where all sorts of weapons and violent means are employed.

Why does the succession, which should normally be smooth and democratic, always attract such unmitigated violence? We have thought to dig to know why and what we have found out is very eye-opening to say the least.

Those who are lucky enough to get to the head of the various units and then rise gradually to the top state-wise are like emperors and lords of the manors, with absolute control who wields power like absolute leaders likes od Napoleon or even Adolf. Once you have gotten to some sort of leadership position and have tasted of the goodies that comes with it, you do not ever want to leave. Hence the mad competition and the readiness to take out any perceived competitions or rivals.

Just imagine that part of the fun, is that all the famous local musicians would start to sing your praise like you are a demigod! For many in this positions, that alone can make their head swell uncontrollably to such unbelievable levels. Also, the number of people at your beck and call alone, groveling to meet all your demands are totally unbelievable to say the least. In fact, in fact the leaders are like kings in control of some very strong madcaps that can go to any length to please their bosses. The position has been so elevated that you get to rub shoulders with the powers that be as a stakeholder. But the main reason from what we have discovered, is the kind of money that these leaders get to make per day. Yes you read correct, PER DAY.

Let's give the correct scenario as it obtains. While MC Oluomo was the lord of manor in charge of Oshodi, in Lagos alone, which has just 52 units under it, he was entitled to [N15,000 Naira per unit] for food alone per day. And it is a must for them to pay the sum. The total for that alone comes to N780,000 Naira per day. That is (seven hundred and eighty thousand Naira) every day! Please understand this very well, that the amount mentioned is just the money set aside for food per day from the units for their boss-MC Oluomo. We reiterate again that the N780,000 is only just for food per day. That alone comes to (N284,700,000 Naira per year), that is Two hundred and eighty four million, seven hundred thousand Naira. Plus or minus that comes to at least N200m Naira per year. This doesn't include the money for other things, like recharge cards etc. We hear that if you go as a visitor to see the boss, another large amount would be contributed immediately tagged visitor's entertainment money. From what we hear, the large part of the N780,000 goes to MC's 3 wives, who gets between N150,000 to N200,000 each or more from the daily contributions.

Just imagine then how much the wives alone can have in a year, if they were smart enough to save or invest in something meaningful! Now you can all pretty well understand why women in large numbers would swarm or surround these men in these positions! No wonder these men are always swarmed by the Nollywood actresses and others who see them as their automatic teller machines (ATMs).

If you now put all things well into proper consideration then, it must mean that MC used to cart home on a daily basis, at least N1.5m Naira. Why would he not  be flying ✈ first class or business class anyhow then? N1.5m per day for a year comes to N547,500,000 (Five hundred and fourty seven million, five hundred thousand Naira, that is at least half a billion Naira in just one year. Hmmmmmm....

Now please juxtapose that amount with what he now gets as the overall state chairman of the union. From our investigations, for just food alone now from all the units in the whole state he gets between N1.5m to N1.8m or even N2m per day. This doesn't include all other money that accrues to him. So if in all, he gets at least between N2.2m & N2.5m and it could be far more than this, it must mean he would cart home at least between N803,000,000 & N912,500,0000 Naira a year. That is near a staggering N1billion Naira a year! This staggering amount doesn't include other monies that comes from patronage of all sorts too. Imagine if it is now an election year, just try to think about how much such a chairman who is seen as a major stakeholder would make then!

So in a year, MC Oluomo doesn't make less than a guaranteed N500M and it can get to N1billion Naira a year. As the state chairman, he has at least 4 years tenure, which can still be renewed too. So in 4 years, plus or minus the dude is guaranteed N2bn to N4bn Naira and it can be far more than that. Na wa ooooooo.....

Why then wouldn't he buy wonders-on-wheels or build humongous edifices in numbers as he likes?

Why wouldn't the musicians, loads of them at that and others sing his praised to high heavens and he would spray such money like it is nothing?

Why wouldn't he be married to 3 wives and can even marry another again if he so wishes? As a Moslem he can marry 4. And with the wives he can still have several girlfriends outside too!

Why wouldn't he have his 6 daughters and 3 sons schooling abroad. Far away from all the troubles in Lagos, where they cannot be touched by any sort of violence that can kill or maim others, who are so unfortunate to be here in harms way?

From just being a road transport union executive, moving from a bus boy (bus conductor) to what he is now. The dude who could only finish at Primary 6, Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo is now a certified multimillionaire whose cash value and assets can not be less than N5billion Naira and it can even be far much more than that. He now hobnobs with the powers that be, like several Governors in the South West and has even stood shoulder to shoulder with an American state Governor before.

And if all we hear is anything to go by, he could even become an honorable Commissioner in charge of a portfolio in Lagos State, sometime in the nearest future!

Is that a possibility????.......

Nothing is ever impossible in Nigeria!!!!!

2ND TIME AROUND AS ASIWAJU AWAITS HIS 2ND GRANDCHILD FROM SEYI & LAYAL

Layal Tinubu

Seyi, Layal & Noella

3 generations, Nkechi, Layal & Noella

Noella & Grandma-Nkechi Holm

Grandma Holm

The beautiful countdown has already begun and 2020 is going to be a good and big year in the household of the Tinubus. And we are talking about in Seyi and Layal Tinubu's household and by extension that of Seyi's dad, in the person of the great Asiwaju himself, the Jagaban Borgu, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is the national leader of the ruling party, the APC. Seyi's gorgeous mom Mrs. Olubunmi Sola Oshonaike had a fantastic 60th birthday celebration late last year that was a talk of the town event.

The unlimited joy would also be extending to the household of Layal's parent too, that's talking about Mrs. Nkechi Holm and her handsome husband, as their beautiful daughter Layal, who looks like her gorgeous mom's younger sister, is presently on the 9 months course, meaning she's heavily pregnant. And all things being equal, she should drop her bambino, her 2nd one for that matter, long before the middle of this year-2020.

Between the couple, they already have an adorable daughter they fondly call Noella, who the whole extended family dotes on so adoringly. 'Amira Titilayo Noella Rose Simisola Ashabi Tinubu', that's her full name, would be 3 this year by June 2nd, to be more precise, as she was born on June 2, 2017 in London. Her more favorite name Noella is actually derived from Noel which means Christmas and is therefore actually given to those born around the Christmas season, but her parents might have just fallen so in love with the name and decided to give her that, even as she's a June born and therefore born under the Zodiac sigh Gemini, represented by the twin.

Seyi who is presently the CEO & President of Loatsad Promomedia and the founder of Noella Foundation, named after his daughter got married to his supremely beautiful wife, the then Layal J. Holm who now owns Tots Toys, in Lagos at the Oba of Lagos palace at a court wedding on August 8, 2015 meaning he and his wife would be celebrating their 5th (half a decade) wedding anniversary in August of 2020. He and the wife with loads of friends and family members later had the beautiful white wedding at picturesque Villa Erba, Lake Como, Italy on August 10, 2016.

CHIKE NANCY IKE BE SELLING SOME AWESOME SUPER SEXY VIBES OF LATE. IS SHE THE CURRENT RICHEST NOLLYWOOD STAR?

IS SHE A SEXY BOMBSHELL OR NOT?

This divorced lady of 34 from Onitsha, Anambra state is really hot, single and we are too sure ready to mingle. So if you are a single hunk, well to do, hardworking dude, we can bet that both of you would make thunder ⚡ and lightning 🌩 happen positively.

In the last few years after she got separated and divorced from her then husband and maybe stifling marriage, she has exhaled and has been exhaling very well too indeed ever since. She seems to have come out of her shell/jail and is not allowing anything whatsoever anymore, be it what anyone would say or however she would be viewed to affect her or slow her down. We heard that the trap she came out from was near hell or indeed hell itself. So maybe her being single again was a very welcomed development then.

This is the new, far improved Chike Ike, like the new improved detergent, which helps to wash as white as snow! This is a supremely sexy and super tasty new person, with new character entirely or was it latent and kept under-wraps before, till the opportunity came for it to emerge? and glow?

We knew her from long ago then, when she was still married and she used to own a restaurant at the Akowonjo area, a suburb of Lagos near Ipaja and Dopemu, we had even gone there then to go eat. For that time, it was a classy neighborhood upscale restaurant that catered to those in the area, in fact it was a bit too upscale for the area then. We knew her then as a lot more calm somewhat subdued person with a ready shy smile, a totally under the radar budding actress who was also jostling her budding career then with her education at UNILAG then.

But that was a long ago, a distant pass if we can say it more accurately. She is the super sexy mama jammer now, who some have described or tagged as most probably Nigeria's richest actress,  who is now an Harvard University Business School graduate, who had gone to the New York Film Academy and who now hobnobs with the high and mighty and cruises around town in a cool, gallant Mercedes Benz G Wagon, which maybe just one out of her chariots. The beautiful lady who is a swanky fashionista and who also owns her own fashion store in Abuja and who doesn't mind embracing her super sexy side is hot 🔥 hot to say the least. And she's not in any way or manner afraid to show some skin too, as you can see in some of her pictures.

From her outlook nowadays it is obvious that marriage must have boxed her up and locked up her radiating and super sexy energy which is more embracing now, but since she became free, she has since rediscovered herself and her other fierce nature has since emerged too.

The actress, producer and beauty and fashion entrepreneur, an avid traveler around the world, one who has had more than a hundred movie on her resume, is most probably also one of the most traveled actress from Nigeria. She currently now doing good at the cinema with her super sexy, totally raunchy role in her new production called 'Small Chops', where she was some sort of a go go gal in her role. The question the movie tries to ask the society or ladies is whether you are a the main deal (meal) or you are small chops (side dish or meal)?

THE INCREDIBLE JOHN LEGEND WAS IN LAGOS FOR THE NEWLY RESUSCITATED THIS DAY AWARDS & 25TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT

John Legend

Prince Nduka Obaigbena

A couple of years ago, the name This Day was synonymous with all that's great and awesome and extraordinary about entertainment and world class events in Nigeria and then suddenly they went on a prolong hiatus to our detriment. No international event worth its salt was organized without the Newspaper or media brand not involved.

They have assembled some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry world wide in Nigeria and even outside the shores too. They in fact showed all other brands the way. Their fashion event, the Arise Fashion Week was the numero uno in Nigeria then & one of the best in Africa. They brought all the biggest names in Africa and some from around the world together at one spot. The Arise Fashion Week in fact even made in roads in South Africa and even in New York, at the New York Fashion Week and even held her own in London too at the famous Royal Albert Hall. Some of the top black people likes of -Ozwald Boateng, Naomi Campbell, in Fashion around the world were made more popular to Nigerians by Arise/This Day.

It was this same brand that brought the likes of John Legend, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Jay Z, Beyonce, Neyo, Seal, Christiana Aguilera, Shakira, Usher, Fat Joe and more at the height of their fame to Nigeria to perform. We mean that This Day/Arise brought all of these great stars to Nigeria not when their fame had subsided, but as at the time they were hot, hits and reigning as current champions then, such was the power of the brand and the influence of the owner of the brand too, in the person of Prince Nduka Obaigbena, known and referred affectionately to as 'The Duke'.

So now after the hiatus that saw other brands spring up to try to do what they had begun, it seems the king is back again with much aplomb! First the fashion show was resuscitated and it's has been an interesting, well orchestrated revival. It's like they never went away, the last 2 editions have been great as was expected with the awesomely incredible Naomi Campbell and the great Andre Leon Talley being parts of the success of the last one.

Now it seems the world famous This Day award has come back too with a bang and this year's edition came as the brand was also celebrating a quarter of a century (25 years anniversary). To exist or to have existed that long in a terrain like Nigeria and still be one of the top 4 media brand without a doubt, is not a mean feat. This Day brought a lot of innovations into the media terrain that galvanized the sector to the very next level, there were things they introduced that no other brands then had thought they could do. Introduction of color and the stand out pullout are just a few of those things.

So a few nights ago, all roads led to the Eko Hotel Convention Center, Victoria Island. And it is for the 2020 'This Day Awards and 25th Anniversary Party'. And one of the highlights of the night apart from the many awards given to deserving individuals and corporate organizations was the performances by both the extraordinary Asa and her brand and the awesome performance by none other than the great, the incredible, the Grammy award winning, the Oscar award winning, the Emmy award and Tony Award winning musician of note, Mr. John Legend. He is in fact the only black musician/entertainer to have won the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards) all together. In fact he has won an incredible 10 Grammy awards already. The great legend of our time, known to have sang many great songs performed incredibly to a loud ovation in Lagos, 2 nights ago.

John Legend performed his many hits to the delight of the appreciative crowd who sand along to the delight of the music star. Dude was impeccably garbed in his nice white on black ensemble. And the crowd surged forward to take his pictures and record videos as he performed. Thank God that the organizers were careful not to
The venue was jam packed to the rafters with many top personalities, most of who are personal friends of Prince Nduka Obaigbena. The great personalities likes of Aliko Dangote, Dr. Mike Adenuga, Segun Agbaje, Herbert Wigwe, Rotimi Amechi, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikwe Jonathan and many others and excellent corporate organizations likes of Dangote, Access Bank, Zenith Bank, GTBank and many others carted home awards of distinctions.

The ladies as expected came dressed to the nines. Femi Otedola looked young and sparkling in his well sown and very well worn sparkling white Agbada ensemble. His daughter though, that's talking about DJ Cuppy of the Gelato fame obviously needs a wardrobe assistant or a style manager or something like a total image person, compared to her far more  awesomely stylish younger sister Temi, she wasn't well dressed at all, in fact she looked frumpy. That gown no matter how expensive it was that she wore, aged her a whole lot, it made her look far older than her age. We expect far too much from her on the style stake, especially as she has access to the best of the best if she would make use of it.

Nkiru Anumudu was the lady in red and as expected, she stood out elegantly.

The awards presented on the night were divided into 2 categories, the people's choice awards & the editor's choice awards and from the look of it, the awards were 'equitably distributed' to accommodate all the big brands and names.

The 'company of the decade' had as people's choice 'Dangote Group' owned by the wealthiest blackman in the world, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, while the editor's choice was 'Nigeria LNG Limited', a brand that should become the richest brand in Nigeria in the nearest future. The
'brand of the decade, people's choice Globacom, editor's choice GTBank Plc; Bank of the decade, people's choice Zenith Bank Plc and editor's choice Access Bank Plc; Person of the decade, people's choice President Muhammadu Buhari, editor's choice Dr. Goodluck Jonathan; Banker of the decade, people's choice Godwin Emefiele, editor's choice Herbert Wigwe; CEO of the decade, People's choice Aliko Dangote and Editor's choice Segun Agbaje; Woman of the decade, People's choice Amina Mohammed, editor's choice Chimamanda Adichie; Entrepreneur of the decade, people's choice Aliko Dangote and editor's choice Dr. Mike Adenuga; Philanthropist of the decade, People's choice Femi Otedola, editor's choice Tony Elumelu Foundation; Institution of the decade, people's choice Central Bank of Nigeria, editor's choice, EFCC/Ibrahim Magu; Governor of the Decade, people's choice Babatunde Raji Fashola, editor's choice, Peter Obi; Minister of the decade, people's choice Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, editor's choice Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.

Aliko and his company won 3 awards, while Globacom, GTBank and Access including the awards given to their bosses got 2 each. Those Faberge crystals given as trophies to all the winners were beauties all on their own.

THOUGH A LOT MORE QUIET NOW, ABISOLA KOLAPO DAISI NEE AJIMOBI STILL KILLING IT ON THE STYLE STAKE

Abisola Kolapo-Daisi is a known style maven. In fact she's one of those who helps to dictate style In Nigeria season in/season out, especially for her age range, that's talking about from the early 30s towards the mid 30s.

That she also has the funds (some would say by her privileged position) to support her love for high class fashion, also helps out a whole lot. Her position amongst some of the most stylish Nigerians around the world was confirmed very recently when she was nominated amongst some of the most badass, stylish fashionistas in Nigeria by BellaNaija, one of Nigeria's best online lifestyle platforms.

Though we didn't quite agree in totality with some of their choices, made up of some or better still many usual suspects, we were in total, in fact absolute agreement with the choice of 'Abisola Kolapo Daisi nee Ajimobi'.

Her style can be defined as quite quirky, very classic, a mixture of the timeless and the avant garde. She loves to play with the mix and she always seem to get it right all of the time & such only normally speaks of a person who has come into their own. Who knows and understands what fits them or gets them the best accolades, as against just wearing labels just for the sake of it. Which is what is prevalent nowadays. You see the so called celebs/stars packing on themselves fakes or better still glaring cheap copies of the originals, just so they can get attention at all cost, like their very existence depends on it. Her bags, shoes and jewelry collection are to die for! Especially the latter, that is, the jewelry collection. It's only when you are close to her though, that you would notice some of the awesome diamonds and rare stones that she adorns elegantly and effortlessly, like they are nothing.

That she sells strictly upscale shoes and bags helps to tell you that someone like her who owns a first class store that caters to those who can afford the very best & so would pay premium, lets you to understand why her collection would be bombastic too, to say the least.

Her Florence H Store, that has been around for a few years now and which is now fully at her own shopping complex, which she co-owns with a friend on Fola Osibo, at Lekki Phase 1 on the island, is the convergence point for those with great taste and that can afford luxury. The store is a beautiful one by all standards. In fact it is very well appointed by all standards too. You cannot enter and go away empty handed by not picking up one thing or the other. And when she's on sales (reduction), you get some of the best and most impossible bargains ever too there.

She went quiet and somewhat underground after her dad finished his tenure as the 1st, 2 termed Governor of Oyo State. He is the first in the history of the state to do 8 years. Though he wanted to go back to the Senate, it wasn't a popular decision at all as the populace didn't think it was a wise decision and therefore voted for another. Like we were saying, though Abisola who is married to one of the sons-Kolapo a banker of Chief Kola DAISI another Oyo state money bag. She's a mother of 3, but that hasn't stopped her at all from always appearing on the best dressed list regularly. She deliberately went under the radar for a short while, but she's now back with a bang doing what she loves the most, standing out fashionably and stylishly.

She was recently at the Fashion Week in Paris, France which is rated as the first amongst equals, doing her stuff elegantly, she in fact attended the 'House of Dior' Show with some of her other super stylish friends in tow. Seems that now that there's no need for her to be too careful as the scrutiny wouldn't be to scathing about her being the daughter of a Governor, spending state's funds, she's made up her mind to do her thing a whole lot now, having a first class ball, whenever, wherever.

NOW THAT GANDUJE HAS WON HIS SUPREME COURT CASE, IS IT END OF THE ROAD FOR EMIR SANUSI AS EMIR OF KANO?

Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, EMIR of Kano

With the Supreme Court today affirming the victory of Dr. Umar Ganduje as the winner of that highly controversial election in Kano, which had the PDP candidate coasting home to an upset victory, until that much needed pause and then re-run election, which eventually gave the victory to the incumbent to do another 4 year term. But for that window given, maybe it's another individual that would have been in charge of the state of affairs of the historical state of Kano now. And if that had been the case, maybe the unnecessary battle of wits between the executive Governor of the Northern states, most prominent state-Kano in the person of Dr. Umar Ganduje and the state's most prominent king/royal father, the Emir of Kano in the person of his royal majesty, Alhaji Muhammed Sanusi II, might have ended by now.

Now instead, their battle has escalated to a point of no return. And if the Government would put action to their threats to strip the king of his title, then the current EMIR of Kano, in fact the 14th Emir to be more precise, in the person of the former fiery and uncompromising Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor from (June 2009 till February 2014), who used to be referred to then as just plain and simple 'Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi', might soon also now affix the tag ex-King (emir) to his name.

It was for his uncompromising stance and mouth then, that he was removed (fired) then as a CBN top honcho, when he battled his employers the FGN THEN during his tenure by exposing them. Now that mouth and stance again, has put him in direct confrontation again with those (state Government) who crowned him and the likelihood of him being ousted is quite glaring!

That both combatants are at dagger's drawn has been on for a while now (through out the life cycle of this administration). People have gotten in, to try to mend the fence between the 2, but the issues have refused to go away, always rearing its head at the slightest provocation, as it's been covered only by a thin layer, which gets removed over the slightest of touch. Just imagine the kind of development that could have been brought in to the state were the 2 people to have been united. While Sanusi is well known to be highly connected, influential and quite smart, all of those things that could have worked well to the advantage of the state. The Governor on the other side too as the state's administrator, is said to be quite smart too. So if one can do much, just imagine what 2 could have achieved? Far so much more we believe.

So last week while still awaiting the Supreme Court verdict, a supposed aide of the Governor was said to have spoken of what would happen after the verdict must have been pronounced, as was done today and in the favor of the state Government. The aide was said to have spoken about the plan to remove the so called troublesome Emir, who they believe is part of the reason the administration is not having it easy and not getting seen with the right eyes by all and sundry. Just so it can show that even if Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, The Emir of Kano has international connections and influence, that it is of little consequence when it comes to local politics in Kano.

So prior to this time the state government had done their very best to undermine the king, one of the ways they had done that was to try to whittle down his influence, by appointing more kings (4 more) over a domain he use to control all by himself alone before. When that didn't seem to have had the desired effect, now is this threat to remove him totally.

So now that no more court case is hanging on the head of the Government, would they now remove the Emir like they have threatened to do????

Would his attempted removal not cause chaos in Kano? What is it, that these 2 men have against each other that's so bad and terrible?

Any which way though, June 8, 2020 would be Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II's 6th anniversary coronation anniversary were he to still be the Emir of Kano.

FILM REVIEW- BAD BOYS - FOR LIFE FEATURING WILL SMITH & MARTIN LAWRENCE. Our fun MX4D experience at Film House Landmark Center

Moet Abebe

Derenle Edun

Seyi Shay

The Bad Boys franchise began a few years back and both of those flicks were great movies as they combined full throttle, non stop action with hilarious comedy, a fantastic, badass combo that won the 2 main men in the flicks a whole lot of fans then. So maybe a whole lot of people, including the new generation were craving for a reprise of a sort. Especially now, that a whole lot of movies have been disappointing, Many being just major anti-climax.

So we got invited to come be a part of the premiere of this new addition to the already successful franchise and we wanted to see the badass friends Will Smith and Martin Lawrence do their thing like they do it again and truth be told, from the bottom of our ♥ heart, we had fun and fun galore.

So the venue was Film House at Landmark Center. We had heard that they had opened the new cinema about a few weeks before, but hadn't had the opportunity to go there. We love going to the cinema a whole lot. In fact and very curiously so, it's one of our major way to relax, to chill out.

So when the invitation came we grabbed it with both hands and quickly too and off to the Landmark center we went. It's a cosy place no doubt. A good and more cosier rival to the Imax center in Lekki that we have always favored above all others before. Still quite new, so the seats were still very intact and the place was cool all round, in fact the convenience (gents) too! That's very important for me. Just as you enter the entrance of the cinema, is the 365 Lounge to your right, a very well appointed place we must say. It even has a covered open place outside too, where you could comfortably lounge if you so desire. The ticket consoles are to your immediate left as you go in. Then as you move in there's the Spur restaurant to your right, where I always enjoy their seafood platter and ahead of you is the stairs that leads to the cinema upstairs. It's a very well thought out place.

The movie BAD BOYS For Life, was supposed to start at 6pm, but we had arrived late, by at least an hour. So we had to wait for the next set (batch) of people to go in, which was for 8.30pm. So it was the opportunity for some backslapping and mingling over cocktails and the super yummy finger foods provided. The mingling area is quite cosy too, on each of the tables you could engage in some games while waiting if you so desire and there's a small bar place to serve one, if you want something.

We were in good company and in good spirit too, what can one do after having a good glass of rum on the rocks and coke. There was the super talented Seyi Shay, fashionista extraordinaire Idia Aisien, the quite gorgeous Funmi Ahmed, our very own Noble Igwe, the fun loving, super hilarious madcap Denrele Edun, Shade Ladipo, the ever stylish Denola and a host of many others. It was a packed house to say the least, in fact it was packed to the rafters like they say. Yummy sweet popcorn and soft drinks were already served, awaiting everyone on their seats and then we got down to the business of the day, the film itself.

Since it just came out, we cannot do the spoiler by saying too much about the movie, you just have to go watch it and we are already planning to go again ourself, with some people we watched the same together with. That already says so much. All we can say now is that, it was 2 and more hours very well spent time at the very nice cinema. We are most definitely going to be hanging out more at the Landmark Cinema a whole lot now.

A brief idea of what we think about this movie. Action packed from the get go and super hilarious too. The twin comedic juggernaut Will Smith (Mike Lowery) and Martin Lawrence (Marcus Burnett), who is a bit chubbier now served us well. It was "pulsatingly" good and fun at the same time. The acting bang on. The new crew (The Ammo Team) did great too. Viking's King Ragnar's fierce 1st son (Bjorn Ironside) was a computer geek with badass strength here in Vad Boys. Though Martin Lawrence character (Marcus) was a lot more subdued action wise in this part of the series, he was still at his comedic best. The more older Will (Mike) is still a Bad Boy for Life, still a hothead, who would still jump into a situation before now thinking it through while in it. The combo villains, made up of a handsome young well buffed, action packed dude and a crafty lady witch were badass. That prison scene was epic!

The scenes were masterclass, especially the chase and all. And because the MX4D is so immersive and classy, you get to feel the adrenaline, all of the moves and action as they occur as your seats moves and things. You get to smell the fire, feel the air, it's like you are literally touching the atmosphere. Camera angles were excellent too. I already feel like going to Miami!!!!

Maybe Porsche must have paid good money to feature in this movie, the gorgeousness of their car was in excellent display. Even Dell Computers too, as their name was not covered. The directors delivered a great action packed fun movie and the actors were on point, in their element. Yes, it wouldn't win an Oscar, but it should most definitely make their $90m budget back without a whimper. And we watched it at a good place too. Kudos to Film House for a good ambience and great atmosphere. You have won yourself a lifetime friend and supporter. Silverbird needs to come learn from you guys.

The general consensus about the film and the cinema was, "A super great movie in a very nice place".

In fact many are coming back for many reprises!!!! 🤩

Bad Boys bad boys what you gonna do, what you gonna do, when we come for you......

More after the break.

SHULAMITE OLUFUNKE ADEBOLU ERSTWHILE LAGOS COMMISSIONER REMOVED WITHOUT A MENTION & REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. WHAT'S GOING ON?

Mrs. Shulamite Olufunke Adebolu

... With the Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu.

Mrs. Shulamite Olufunke Adebolu's nomination as a Commissioner in Lagos State was met with a lot of joy, happiness and great expectations, as everyone and her fans in great numbers inclusive, had thought it was a very well deserved appointment then. One of the many reasons been that, like many of those appointed by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu to help him steer the boat of the administration of the state appropriately, she is a professional to the core and a brilliant one at that, not a politician at all by any stretch.

The 46 year old married lawyer by training, before coming on board as an administrator appointed to oversee the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry in Lagos State, the State of Aquatic Excellence, had done quite good in her private endeavors, where she had excelled brilliantly.

So when she was given the portfolio as the former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, until when she was removed abruptly yesterday, it was a welcomed development, that all and sundry applauded. People felt that someone who could do a brilliant, most excellent job after taking over from the past commissioner, Mr. Steve Ayorinde had come on board.

So just imagine the utter shock and total disbelief that heralded the announcement yesterday, when in a so called minor reshuffling just yesterday, Thursday, January 16, 2020 when as announced by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, in the person of Mr. Gboyega Akosile, one of those that many had applauded was going to do a brilliant job for the State, was unceremoniously and quietly removed from the state's cabinet without even a quiet mention as to why or what must have necessitated such a decision!!!!

And since that press release of yesterday, tongues have been wagging, with unsubstantiated speculations flying about everywhere.

Could there have been a clash of some sort?

Could there have been some sort of a battle of wits, with the combatants not ready to back down or yield and the end result of which, has led to either the SACK or resignation!

What could have transpired so early in an administration that's still trying to come to the grips of things and whose members have not even spent up to 6 months yet on their various saddles?

What could the brilliant, well trained lawyer have done, that the only thing that could remedy the situation is a sack?

What's going on????

Shuli, as the beautiful mother of 3 and former Commissioner is fondly called by those close to her, is 46 years old and would be 47 come April 8, 2020 as she was born on the same date in 1973.

She had her primary education at the famous Home Science School, Ikoyi, before going abroad to continue her secondary education and A-levels. She got a 2nd Class Upper Graduate degree in Law from the University of Hertfordshire in 1995, then off to the College of Law, Guilford, Surrey, UK in 1996.

She is a Management Consultant with over 22 years of experience. She was an Associate Director at PwC's Advisory Service. She's a Subject Matter Expert in Information, Implementation and Execution of Government Delivery Units. She had worked in some capacity with the former Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, though she has come in then as consultant until she became one of the supposed shining stars of the Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu Administration, from which she has now been removed now when she's just about clocking at least 6 months on the job.

Find below the Press release that announced the change, which didn't mention anything whatsoever about why she was dismissed, removed, sacked or sent packing--

AS THE GOOD MAN STEPS ASIDE AS FORCED BY THE SUPREME COURT RULING AGAINST HIM. HE LEAVES THIS GREAT STATEMENT BEHIND

Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha

STATEMENT FROM HIS EXCELLENCY, RT. HON. EMEKA IHEDIOHA, CON, ON THE SUPREME COURT RULING ON IMO STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION OF THE MARCH 9, 2019.

JANUARY 15, 2020

My dear good people of Imo State,
I address you today, following recent developments affecting our dear state, and in particular the Supreme Court judgement of 14thJanuary 2020.In my relationship with you as Governor of Imo , I had employed regular consultations and dialogue as a tool of political discourse. This informs this course of action.

2. I am reporting back to you our great Imo people on the fate of the mandate you freely gave to me as Governor and Engr. Gerald Irona as Deputy Governor. This mandate has now been truncated and cut short by the Supreme Court, in contravention of the will of the people.

3. We shall always cherish the tremendous goodwill and support you gave us as we grappled with setting up a new administration to rebuild a state that was devastated by bad governance.

4. In the last seven months we sought to elevate merit, unity of purpose, honesty, transparency and an inclusive approach to governance, as the hallmarks of our administration. We sought to restore once again, the pride and dignity of Imo people. We worked very hard to re-engineer the Imo renaissance. But God knows why he has allowed this current state of affairs.

5. No doubt, yesterday’s Supreme Court verdict, came to us as a rude shock and surprise considering the facts on ground, legal precedence and clear verdict of Imo People on March 9 2019, that returned me as Governor with the highest valid votes of 273,404.

6.  I do not agree with the judgement of the Supreme Court. I think it is unfair, unjust and does not reflect the voting that took place during the elections. It also didn’t take care of the sensibilities of the people of Imo State. But as true democrats, Engr Gerald Irona and I have no option but to respect the outcome of that judgement.

7. Consequently, we have put machinery in motion to hand-over the reins of office to the APC Candidate as the the next governor of Imo State. This will be coordinated by the Secretary to the State Government. I therefore direct all members of Imo State Expanded Executive Council, and all political appointees to write their handing-over notes and to return all government properties in their custody, forthwith. I shall not be party to pilfering of Government property or funds.

8. May we use this opportunity to express our gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve, within the short period he granted us. We sincerely appreciate you for all your solidarity and goodwill. We would forever cherish and treasure your love, your trust and your partnership.  We made our mark. Rebuilding our dear state is neither easy nor personal, but a task undertaken for our today and tomorrow.

9. I thank you all for your support which saw us achieve so much and reversed the negative trajectory of Imo State within a space of seven months. It is significant to note that Imo State was looking good again. We were declared the least corrupt State in the Country, the fastest state growing economy in Nigeria and the most improved, in terms of the deployment of Information Technology in service delivery. Our infrastructure was significantly coming to life, civil servants and pensioners were now being paid as and when due and optimism returned to Imo State. It is on record that we were acclaimed as the most sports and diaspora friendly state. Most importantly we returned life and activities to our local governments. Yes we had good plans to make Imo the centre piece of commerce, industry, technology, tourism by providing good leadership and first class infrastructure. Under our watch, Imo became safe with our systematic approach to securing lives and property.

10. All these were made possible by your prayers, support and sacrifices. I therefore appeal to all Imolites, especially our teeming supporters to remain calm and to shun any action that is capable of resulting in a breach of the peace. We can always have different parties, but we would have only one Imo State. In the same vein, I urge you to extend to my successor, the same support you gave to me. It is my wish that he will continue on the path we had set for the rebuilding of our state as well as consolidate on the progress and milestones we achieved.

11. It is incontrovertible that we ran a good race, fought tough battles, (including, principalities and powers)and governed the state well, with the fear of God, accountability, transparency and entrenched due process. We, however, take solace in the book of Ecclesiastics 3:1, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”.

12. We step aside with implicit faith in the Sovereign Lord who reigns over the affairs of men.

13. Thank you.
Imo bu nke anyi.

Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON.
