...AND WILLIAMS WEDDED KATHERINE-A FAIRYTALE CEREMONY

Finally after all the preparation, with many millions of pounds spent, what many would probably tag one of the most elaborate weddings of the decade, took place yesterday-APRIL 29,2011. The venue was the very imposing Westminster Abbey-The Collegiate Church of St. Peter at Westminster: It is the traditional place of coronation. The occasion was covered by more than 8000 journalists from around the world, who had come to see a future King of England Prince Williams Windsor get married to his heartthrob of many years the former waity Kathy, a moniker the now her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge had been given previously, because of how long the courtship had lasted before the marriage finally took place.

Truth be told, it was a fairytale like in all ramifications, and that much was expected from the most respected monarchy that's still in existence, the 85 year old and highly respected Queen Elizabeth was the epitome of grace in her yellow outfit, said to have been made by her p.a, the simply chic wedding outfit by the future Queen of England- Princess Katherine was made by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, and it was a laced ivory colored dress with a long train, Sarah Burton also made the beautiful outfit, that Princess Katherine later wore at the reception, the 29 years old Katherine was the epitome of simple elegance and grace.

The precise wedding ceremony itself was a breeze, with Prince Williams and Katherine exchanging marital vows in front of many family members and friends to the obvious delight of the grandma The Queen,Prince Williams and Harry, his younger brother who was is best man, were in full military ceremonial outfits, like their dad Prince Charles-the Prince of Wales and their grandfather-Prince Phillip-The Duke of Edinburgh. Some have come to describe the royal wedding as one of the biggest fashion platform in the world, and many were not disappointed by what many wore or showcased, but something that was a major recurring decimal were the fantastically beautiful hats worn by many of the ladies and from what we learnt most of the best were made by British milliner, the award winning Philip Treacy, more than 30 of the high class guest wore his creation, another fashion star, whose product was showcased by many of the guest was shoe designer extraordinaire-Jimmy Choo, one of those who wore the shoe brand was the Duchess of Cornwell-Camilla Windsor the wife of the father of the groom-Prince Charles.

This event would remain one of the most talked about event for a longtime to come, and its one of those that would remain in the almanac of history forever, an estimated 1 million plus people lined up the road and were around the palace to witness the procession, an estimated 2 billion worldwide audience were said to have watched the proceedings, the stately, maroon Rolls Royce, that brought the Queen to the church was a present given her some years back to mark her wedding anniversary, the carriage that took the couple away, after the exchange of marital vows was a 1902 open-topped state landau carriage, There were 1900 guests that witnessed the exchange of vows at the church, and the Abbey bell rang non-stop for a full 3 hours, there were about 50 heads of states in attendance. The beautiful Tiara worn by the new Princess was loaned to her by the Queen, while the diamond and sapphire ring she wore was the same worn by the late Diana, the former Princess of Wales. And an estimated 5500 street parties were  supposedly, held to celebrate the wedding all over the UK, while around 600 plus guests were dined at 19 state rooms in the palace for the reception.
