AFRICA,NIGERIA ROCKED NEW YORK. AT THE ARISE MADE IN AFRICA COLLECTIVE-part 1 LDA

THE DESIGNER TAKING HER BOW
Truth be told, the choice of those to represent the continent at the ongoing Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week-Arise Made In Africa Fashion Collective, must have been heaven made, because after lastnite, designers from all over the world would have come to recognise that the so called dark continent has become the next frontier in terms of creativity.  The Nigerian collective- made up of Lanre Da Silva Ajayi of LDA,Fati Asibelua of MOMO COUTURE,Tsemaye Binitie,Lisa Folawiyo of JBLBunmi Koko and their other counterparts from other parts of Africa-made up of KLUK CGDT,Korto Momolu,Pierre-Antoine Vettorello, signposted that creativity is not an exclusive preserve of some parts of the world. All the designers showed like millions of stars in a galaxy and again they made me proud to an African, most especially a Nigerian. Arise Magazine where the Duke Of Journalism-Nduka Obaigbena is the Publisher must be very well commended for another slam dunk, very soon he might be offered the key to the city of New York for helping to bring African talent to the world's platform.

LANRE DA SILVA AJAYI'S LDA SPRING/SUMMER 2012 COLLECTION

What more can one say, that has not been said already, about this world class collection, if the collection was not tagged by a brand name, it could have been mistaken for a Chanel Collection by the GREAT Karl Lagerfeld himself, the flow, the cut, the delivery was perfection at its best, Lanre seems to have a special love for chantilly lace, and like a world class magician, she seems to just know, what to do with it and how to perfectly blend it with other fabrics.  Truly Lanre is already set on the path towards world domination and others had better know.
