D BANJ LOCKS DOWN LONDON

Let's not lie ooooo, we were one of those that was skeptical about this concert. One of the major reasons for that skepticism was that on the same day as the D banj and Friends HMV Apollo lock down was the Africa Unplugged concert, which boasted of some very big names in the music industry-such as Femi Anikulapo Kuti, Tuface Idibia, Iyanya and other heavyweights from other parts of Africa. It was the evening of the Annual Notting Hill Carnival and a day after the P Square London Invasion. So we had thought, the organizers didn't plan well, doing 2 massive concerts on the same date. But alas we were wrong. D banj is D banj any-day.

A pointer to the fact that D bANJ was going to shock everyone, was the feelers we were getting from some of the people we spoke to prior to the show, who told us categorically that D banj has his own crowd of loyalists who no matter what would throng his show. And true to their words, the venue- HMV Apollo, on Bank Holiday, Monday, August 27, 2012 was filled to capacity. The concert was sold out, packed out and according to many who were there ''it was good money well spent'' '' a totally fantastic time'' etc. He was very well supported by Ikechukwu, Naeto C, K Switch and others.

Not to lie, D Banj is an entertainer extraordinaire.

According to BHM-
D'Banj's debut UK headline show was excitedly received by a rapturous audience.

Thrilling the audience with a rich repertoire of songs  spanning  his over seven year career,
D’banj once again woos his audience with sweet ease, showing why, in such a short time, he has become one of Africa’s greatest music ambassadors.
