Collection Inspiration
Established in February 2012, the Chidinma Obairi clothing line was set up with the intention of providing each customer a unique couture piece conscientiously detailed, timelessly feminine and very sophisticated.

Using a range of fabrics from the very delicate silks to the more rigid African Ankara prints, the brand is such that each collection has a sophisticated level of drama addressed in each piece. This is further enhanced with the use of adornments such as pearls, sequins and crystals.

From the Couture line, to the Luxury line and finally the Diffusion line, the brand’s aim goes far beyond a fashion label. It hopes to create a line of accessories, a number of fragrances; and an assortment of beauty products; thereby creating a lifestyle driven by the designer’s artistic inclination and delivering a strong sense of appeal to each distinct customer.

INSPIRATION FOR SS13 COLLECTION

Chidinma’s inspiration for the Spring/Summer13 Collection is sourced from her wide travels across the Middle-East and Europe. The artistic flair evident in the cultural heritage of the cities visually arrested the designer, creating this glamorous collection. Elegant classics fit to stand the test of time was the objective; and this is evident in the A-line cut and intricate detailing that is evident right through the sophisticated yet flirty pieces.
