Man about town, Larry Onuegbu the owner of Mega Point and the former Auto Lounge both on the Island, seem to be having the best of laugh right now. While naysayers are going about saying all sorts about him and his business, he just seem to be quietly digging in and making cool cash or so it seems. His car business is still going on strong from the feelers we are getting & new automobiles are still coming in every month, though some would have love for it to be shut-down. According to our confirmed digging, he has also quietly opened a new mall, called the Cosmopolitan Mall, situated at Ologun Agbaje Street, in Victoria Island, Lagos. We hear that the mall is a sizeable one, with between 15 to 20 stores available and our snoops are saying the property belongs to him. The official opening of the mall is planned for either the end of this month or sometime in July of 2013.
That's not all, though he has re-packaged his business, by turning his former A-class night-club on Agoro Odiyan/Adeola Odeku Street into a 5-Star Cafe- called Cafe Vanessa, we hear he did it because he felt he had done his bit for the Lagos night club scene, so why not move on to other less stressful business, but equally profitable venture.
Cafe Vanessa his new baby, which was where his former club was, is a statement in class. It's a an upscale cafe, like those bistros or taverns you love to visit abroad, light meals made by a fantastic Chef. The idea was to open a 5-star cafe with the classiest of ambience, serving mouth-watering and excellently served meals. Since it was opened on Christmas Eve of 2012 we hear it's been brisk business ever since.
Also his Abuja joint on Ademola Adetokunbo Street, Wuse 2, has moved from the former address to another on the same street. AutoLounge Cafe- that's what it is called now, would be opening in Abuja with a loud bang on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the new address on 44, Ademola Adetokunboh, next to the biggest Studio in Abuja, Studio 23.
So if business is this bad, then kudos to him for making it work.
Happy for you Larry. At least my husband would not be going to auto lounge! Yeeeh.
