OLUWATOSIN & FAIZER OMOKORE'S MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR WEDDING, THEY HAD WANTED HUSH-HUSH!!!

TOSIN & FAIZER
Why they had wanted this wedding hush-hush baffles us. It's a sheer spectacle that they should have allowed us to see, so that all can dream to get to this level one day. . Many of those who got invited and were able to enter have had only one thing to say, that this is ''the society wedding of the decade, bar none''. They are even insinuating that there has been no wedding even in recent times that could match this particular one in terms of sheer extravagance & opulence. The money spent, which is in Dollars: Is in Millions of Dollars. Someone estimated that about $8 million dollars must have been spent. That's not even up to a day's money coming in from one of the 8 oil wells. Dubai, especially the venues used would not forget, and would never forget in a hurry as Nigeria & Nigerians were put on the map for another reason entirely (As those who have the money in torrents or like a flood and are not afraid to spend it to enjoy the very best of life. If you doubt us, go to Harrods & Selfridges and mention some names and the doors would open for you like an expressway, with you getting treatments reserved for royalties.

PRE-WEDDING CAKE

In our earlier report we had only spoken about JW Marriott Marquis, where the whole of the 70th floor was taken over by the Omokore's guests, the 37th floor of the same hotel was where lunch was served for all. Many other guests who didn't stay at the Marriott, were lodged at ''The Address'', we wouldn't want to talk too much about this colossal hotel. Chairman himself, Otunba Jide Omokore stayed at one of the ultra superlative ''the One & Only'' A super luxurious hotel in Dubai. There are about 4 of those in Dubai- One and Only Royal Mirage Palace, One and Only the Palm, One and Only Royal Mirage Arabian Court and One and Only Residence & Spa. It's at one of this 4 the billionaire lodged.

We don't need to bore you about the 2 families involved in this wedding. Oluwatosin is the first son of Otunba Jide Omokore, a top PDP Stalwart, a billionaire and the Chairman of Energy Resources Grp, which is the holding company of many subsidiaries, of which one of the best known of the subsidiaries been SPOG Petrochemicals. Otunba Omokore has been described by Forbes as amongst some of the not too well known ''Richest Nigerians''. Tosin's step-mom is the brilliant Angela Ebagua, a top director at Access Bank Plc., Some have even speculated that she might become the next MD of the bank soon after the tenure of Aigboje Aig-Imokhuede, the current MD/CEO of the bank. Faizer's dad on the other hand is the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Ambassador AbdulKadri Fari. So obviously they are no pushovers themselves.
CAVALLI CLUB DUBAI
CAVALLI CLUB

FAIRMONT HOTEL WHERE CAVALLI CLUB IS

Dubai was on a lock-down the weekend of June 7 to 9, 2013. The pre-wedding party took place at the Cavalli Club Dubai, which is located at the humongous Fairmont Hotel on Sheikh Zayed road, Dubai the same street as the JW Marriott Marquis, Dubai where the wedding itself took place. Pre-wedding party was on the Friday, June 7, 2013, prior to the wedding proper which was on Saturday, June 8, 2013. Let's quote the description of the Cavalli Club for you- ''It's a distillation of all things fabulous. It was launched in collaboration with the famous Italian designer- Roberto Cavalli. So just imagine something connected to one of the premier designers of the world, known for sheer opulence.

Cavalli Club Dubai, was on a total lock-down, it was totally taken over by the Omokore's and their guests. All the biggest and best brands of liquors in the house and best Cuban cigars were at everyone's beck and call. A particular brand of Champagne, said to cost $150,000 par bottle was what a particular young billionaire favoured. And it was pop-pop-pop!!! All night long, at least till 3am. The Magnums, Kristals, Louis Xiii Cognac etc were all on the house and people had their fill. A particular government official who had wanted to smoke a Cuban was given like a whole lots to make his choice and to take as many as he wanted. Some said about the Cavalli Club on that night, ''it was the highest paying night in the history of the joint''.

Getting inside the wedding venue on the D-day even with your IV was like a camel passing through the eye of the needle. Security was 7-stars. IV's were cross-checked with a list, so if you weren't on the list, you weren't going to enter, those inside couldn't take anyone in, so people tactically didn't pick up calls or switched off their phones. Coming from Nigeria to the wedding, Tosin's step-mom, Angela took the whole shine, she had a dedicated private jet and we heard it was filled to capacity, those who couldn't get on her jet, had to go by commercial flights (Business Class though). The whole Omokore household, maids etc were transported to Dubai, so as to be a part of the jollification. The man of the moment himself lodged at ''The One''. Deejay Jimmy Jatt, Africa's Numero Uno was on the wheel of steel on the wedding day, the Wiz of life, Wizkid performed to everyone's delight at the wedding proper, NaetoChukwu Chikwe aka Naeto C had performed admirably at the Pre-wedding party. As it should be Nigeria's pride, Bright ''Basketmouth'' Okpocha was the perfect host.

That's not all, Godbless & the Eboni Band were flown in from Nigeria- band, equipments and all, to provide live music of the esoteric kind. The 3rd place winners  at the 3rd edition of America's Got Talent, Nuttin but Stringz also came in to perform. The duo consists of 2 very talented brothers, who both play violins and they can do a whole gamut of genre (Hip-hop, Classical Music & R&B) with awesome dexterity. Remember one member of the now disbanded KUSH, Lara George, yes you all can. The lady with the great voice performed at the Church wedding. Incidentally, wedding day was Faizer's mom's birthday, so she was honoured with one of her favourite songs done by Lara and she was presented a birthday cake.

Those in attendance? A whole lot, about 20 Senators flew in Senators Gbenga Ashafa, Smart Adeyemi, Margery Okadigbo were easily noticeable, the former Governor of Kogi State and the current Governor were both in attendance, so also was Godswill Akpabio, the Governor of Akwa-Ibom, 3 Royal fathers were seen their royal majesties Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, Oba of Epe, Oba Shefiu Olatunji Bamgbopa, the Asiwaju himself, Governor-Emeritus Bola Ahmed Tinubu, MD/CEO Oando, Wale Tinubu, Billionaire Kola Aluko, his younger brother Kunle Aluko, Dejare Adegbenro, former NDDC boss, Timi Alaibe, Akpovi Oyo, Deoye Austen-Peters, Chairman of the occasion was none other than Major-General David Madayese Jemibewon, so many others.

As par the wedding gifts, it had to be the type that would befit the occasion, sure they did. They were the new BlackBerry Q10 Phones, Samsung Galaxy Tabs, Bang & Olufsen Sound System Speakers, Arabian Tea Set & luxury towels. To get all of the gifts you had to be a VVIP. The VVIP's were the likes of the Ooni and co, & they had their designated sitting area. But there was also the all comers part inside the same hall and those ones got some of the gifts and not all.

The destination wedding was packaged by Ayiri Oladumoye's Oaken Event Limited, which is gradually becoming the number 1 for such events in Nigeria. The company also handled Tuface & Annie Macaulay's Dubai extravaganza, just a few weeks ago.

Immediately after the wedding Otunba Jide Omokore left in the company of his good friend, another billionaire, Mr. Kola Aluko for London en-route Monaco, where he has gone to catch a breather while watching F1-the game of the super duper rich......

  2. Are all these things really necessary?the way Nigerian display wealth when these monies can be put into good use for the less priviledged Nigerians, how many people from even poor african countries come to nigeria to have parties?we have to get out of this our mentality...

  3. Lovely wedding no doubt,i am convinced that tons of money went into it but really really,i am not impressed though cos who is this Jide guy?not known but i can bet he is not as rich as Aliko Dangote cos Aliko is the 25th richest man in the world, even Aliko's daughter's wedding a few years ago took place in Kano so what does that tell u???my people make una answer oooooo

  4. Wish the married couple a happy married life. But nigerians common lets stop all these. How many ppl from other countries come to nija to get married or have a party. We should be more charity oriented like d previous person wrote. With such behaviours then we wonder why d fight against corruption is a failure.

  6. It's good to spend money when you have it... But this is just exuberance, flying a band to Dubai and chartering jets. There sure would be less priviledged family members they could have helped who would've been ever grateful.

The bitter truth is before the year runs out, there will be a more expensive wedding that'll overthrow theirs as wedding of the year.

Dangote, Adenuga could afford to be "wasteful" but they're "wiser".

  12. It shouldn't. Muslim women are not ALLOWED to marry outside the religion but maybe the girl's family are not practicing Muslims. I remember a scenario where the girl' s father was late and her mum and brothers agreed to her marrying a catholic man through registry and the following week when the mother came to mosque the Imam had strong words with her and asked her to leave the mosque and never to return.

  13. Aloba I thought you said all the top people would be at this wedding? Well I can tell you the President, his wife and the real top people were at the Odili/Nwosu wedding on Saturday in Abuja. It was a spectacle on its own.

  14. Even u know u just lied! They don't send pple out of the mosque cos their wards married xtians. No Imam would do that. Yeah they would not be happy just like pastors would not be happy with a xtian girl marrying a muslim. Liar!

  15. Dont mind that liar spewing rubbish about being sent out of mosque. Come to lagos state and see families marrying each other every saturday. Which Imam can send my mother out of the mosque? I never see that Imam.

  21. If only you people know that the road that leads to Otunba Jide Omokore's home town is one of the worst road in Nigeria. Am sure some of you knows kabba/Ilorin road. A billionaire in the midst of very poor relatives, nah poor man joor. Even this sheer opulence is evidence of poor sense and essence of life.

  30. What an extravagant wedding. Nigerian politicians are stealing our money and spending it lavishly in other countries. I think they should focus more on helping the poor in our society. Has anybody ever wondered why the groom's biological mother wasn't in attendance? The poor woman is somewhere in the northern part of Nigeria suffering. She hawks palm oil from house to house with no roof over her head; and then her son has decided to throw a multimillionaire wedding in Dubai, chai. God save our country

    ReplyDelete
  31. Why should dis wedding take place without the groom's mother being invited? That's not even the issue. The woman is seriously suffering. She probably needs help more than any one of us. Mr Jide should be able to take care of his ex-wife and mother of his first son on whose name dis wedding was organised. What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  32. used and dumped? how? with their tiny willies?? if not for weight loss surgery i wonder how DA was able to find it. you must be relation, maybe SAs wife. EVERYBODY knows SA is a loud mouth

  33. All these our corrupt so called business men & politicians that should hide their heads in shame are the ones going about acting like they are wiser than every body else, what is this Jide's track record that entitles him to oil business?may God intervene on behalf of the poor suffering Nigerians,it is our stolen wealth that the like of Jide and Angela are using to be flying themselves plus maids and their adopted kids all over the places.God is watching u people, one day he will avenge for the nigerian suffering people Amen

  34. Na wa for these people that don't have conscience o,they are stealing our money blatantly thru oil wells allocation that they are not entitled to cos they are close to corrupt and irresponsible Dieziani, they think they can flaunt such wealth in our faces.God will Judge.

  35. Anyway, let Nigerians begin to think on how to solve our problems by ourselves rather than collecting grants from abroad and showing off our stupidity in lavish spending like this.

  36. These people hv suceeded in showing Nigerians that we are helpless, yet we can't fight back, 8million dollars jst for a wedding? That family will never know peace, the union is certainly cursed because that money can give free education, good water, stable electricity, good roads etc in kogi state. God bless Nigeria

    1. Stop cursing ans hating. God will not bless you and give u your own like that. Instead pray for your own and work hard. You will be rewarded

  37. I implore you all, charity does not have to be with millions, any amount no matter how small will do. The money you spend monthly on data for your ipad or blackberry will go a long way in feeding hungry children on the streets. If everyone is as charitable as you all want the rich men to be, there will be no more suffering in Nigeria, so all of you should shut your loud mouths. When the grooms father was making his money, was your father sleeping? Do they have 2 heads? You too go out and hustle to make money and stop blabbing rubbish, how do you know he doesn't do charity? If they announce it you say they are showing off, if they don't you say they are not doing anything.the gov of a state has not done road, it is a civilian that should come and fix road abi. Goat like you

  42. I noticed people are asking for Jide's first, the mother of the groom. Sorry to let you know that she is not the first wife. The first wife's name is Elizabeth, who happen to be a nurse. She had a handicap boy for Jide in 1980s. The boy and the woman had been abandoned. This was when Jide was an errand boy in a secondary school in Kogi State. He then married the second wife, Shola, a graduate of University of Ilorin, when into drug pushing, money fronting and money laundary. He later abandoned this woman at Ilorin to get into 419 and other illegal businesses. Jide has no iota of education, but claimed to be a graduate of Kwara Tech. He will do anything for money and he will use anybody to get what he wants and abandone them as soon as he is through. He is a serious sycophant that knows how to find his way into people in power. He is an errand boy, that is why he is not known. He is also a very dangerious man. I still don't understand how this man is getting away with everything. Only in Nigeria will this happen and get people to worship him. I can tell you that he is right now getting ready to switch his loyalty to the next party in power. Jonathan and rest of his masters be warned!!!!

  43. Admittedly, the wedding venue could have been in Naiha to further boost the economy. But us Nigerians self, we are always looking to criticize others. Who amongs all comments above has actually thought about how many people his wealth is feeding at the moment.
He now spends on his sons wedding and suddenly every hungry wofta out there wants to have a say on how not to spend his money.
    Get a life.
