CHIMA FLANKED BY ADANNA'S MOM TO THE LEFT & HIS OWN MOM TO THE RIGHT |
Landing in Owerri, the capital of Imo State at the Sam
Mbakwe Airport, which is currently undergoing renovation, you already know that something
major was upcoming that weekend. As
flights were landing from Lagos & Abuja, on board were many upwardly mobile
men & gorgeous ladies. And as you ask them where everyone was going, the
reply all gave was they were in for Adanna & Chima's wedding set for Oguta,
the day after, which was Saturday, June 15, 2013.
CONCLUSION & MORE PICTURES AFTER THE BREAK. PLS CLICK ON READ MORE BELOW
Just as soon as you land at the airport and you
could be identified, there were several air-conditioned buses waiting to pick
up the guests, to transport them straight to their hotels in Owerri. It's
either you were lodged at Rockview Hotel, which is by Okigwe round-about, just
opposite Douglas House, which is the name of the Government House in Imo State
or you are at All Season's Hotel not too far away. Getting to any of these
hotels, you are met by a large number of people sorting out their accommodation
for the next 2 days, from the what you could see, loads and loads of Chima's
friend had arrived town to give him unprecedented support.
One thing common on
everyone's lips was that Chima is a great guy, worthy of any kind of support,
so they had come to give great moral and financial support as much as they
could muster. We saw Innocent 'Tuface '
Idibia & his wife Annie arriving, around the same time Uti Nwachukwu and a
couple of others arrived.
After checking in, everyone went to their different rooms to
rest for the next day. Although many went to the humongous pre-wedding shindig
held for the groom, we couldn't attend because we needed to rest.
The journey to the Oguta home of the bride's dad, Chief
Senator Francis Arthur Nzeribe the next day began at about 1pm, Oguta from Owerri was just
about 40 minutes away. So the groom and many of his friend numbering about 50,
had all converged at the lobby of the Rockview Hotel. Following a signal,
everyone entered into their various cars, trucks & buses and the
intimidating convoy headed to Oguta.
Arriving the Haven of Peace home of the great Ogbuagu,
Oshiji, Demanze Oyimba of Oguta, you are met with a seemingly endless compound ahead of you, that is well guarded by gun-toting soldiers in battle camouflages. There's a little bridge above a small river, that takes a car
at a go, just before you turn into Senator Nzeribe's 1st gate. You drive in for less than 2
minutes and then, there's another gate that leads inside the compound and right ahead of you, you see a massive house surrounded by a cluster of other buildings to the right and to the left.
We hear chief's house is manned by over 60 workers making sure all things are
working seamlessly without interruptions. The rich sure lives very big.
The sheer number of guests, family members and onlookers we
saw inside the compound was unbelievable.
From our findings, Chief Nzeribe must have arranged for close to 5000 guests. It was like a jamboree,
friends of Chima in sea of white, friends of Adanna in gold, many looking
outrageously gorgeous, friends of the parents, family members, traditional
dancers/musicians etc were all around.
Some of those we saw were Former Senate President, Senator Adolphus
Ndaneweh Wabara, Deputy Senate
President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, current Deputy Speaker, Federal House of
Representatives, Honourable Emeka Ihedioha, Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume
& wife, Senator Eyinaya Abaribe & wife, Prof. Maurice Iwu, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Chief Emmanuel
Iwuanyanwu, Hon Jones Onyerire, Chief Newton Okaro, Hon. Gerald Irona, Hon.
Bethel Amadi, Major General (rtd)Lawrence Onoja, Hon. Chuma Nzeribe, Azuh Chukka & Awele Francis, Ngozi Nkoloenyi, Adaobi Nwakuche and very
many others.
The Naira rain that came down on the couple when they were
called to dance was out of this world, many had to beg friends of the groom to
stop, because it was utterly intimidating, the ground was filled with a mixture
of all the different denominations of Naira and Dollar bills, with the
villagers looking on awestricken. As
expected at occasions of this caliber, there was over abundance of food &
drinks and every one had their fill to a very large extent. To show that even
the heavens was in support of the whole proceedings, there was a light shower
of rain. In spite of the rain, majority of the guests still stayed, with the
deejay playing hits after hits to the delight of all.
It was after all the merry making at Oguta that same evening
that friends and family members of the new husband & his adorable new wife moved on
to Igbere, the husband's village, which is about 2 hours drive from Oguta for
the mother of all after party. Those who attended, said it was an awesome party
with over-abundance of everything all over again. Apart from the deejay who rocked the house to it's foundation, KCEE of the Limpopo fame also serenaded the couple.

ReplyDeleteAnon 4:23AM it is very possible that she is his neice. I am 36 years old and have an uncle who is just about 40years old. My mother is the first of all her siblings, she got married and had me when my uncle was just a toddler. When you see us you may say the same thing.
