The very exclusive Wheatbaker Hotel in
Lagos, Nigeria has been announced as the host venue for the launch of Hello
Magazine's first Sub-Saharan version, HELLO! Nigeria.
The prestigious venue, one of several
luxury boutique hotels owned by South Africa's Legacy Hotel Group', was
the clear choice for the European based publication's first Sub-Saharan event.
"The Wheatbaker Hotel embodies
the same passion for excellence, celebration of good times, and love of luxury
that HELLO! is known for globally,," says Anne Omezi, Managing
Director of True Tales Publications, publishers of HELLO! Nigeria.
The synergy between these two premium
brands was also cited as the driving force behind the partnership by Simon
Grinrod, General Manager of the hotel and spa, Simon Grinrod.
"We are very pleased to play a
part in the long-awaited launch of this premium publication. It is high time
West Africa, and Nigeria in particular, enjoyed a home-grown edition."
Grinrod went on to expand on the potential impact of HELLO! Nigeria in West Africa's cultural landscape.

"The arrival of this iconic
magazine offers an opportunity to profile all that is best about Nigeria and
counteract some of the negative perceptions which are sadly all too
common," said Grinrod. " It is an excellent platform to display the
talents of editorial and creative staff in producing a world-class magazine.
Nigerian readers deserve to read about the success and excitement of a country
alive with possibility!
