Addressing a gathering of media and entertainment who's who during an announcement event Thursday, MD Rapid Blue Format, Rotimi Pedro says the show is a testament to the amazing talent that abounds in Nigeria.

'We're the greatest nation on earth. Everything points to that, including the God-given talent that's just everywhere you turn to. From the experience last year, it's clear that we will have even a more difficult time deciding who will rule this year. Nigeria's got talent, by every definition of the word. And as you follow this new season week in, week out, you'll brim with pride; pride not only because this is the only market where Got Talent is currently running, but because we have more talent on display than anywhere else you look...'

8 year old Amarachi Uyanne won the contest last year, walking away with a cash prize  of N10 million naira and invaluable fame and recognition.

'My life has not remained the same since that beautiful day when I heard my name on stage as the winner. It's still like a dream to me and I'm happy other talents will have the same opportunity I had last year.' Amarachi said today, with joy and pride written all over her.

“Everyone is inspired by Amarachi’s story. But really it could be the story of any talented Nigerian who is willing to explore his dream. This is why we are delighted to partner with Nigeria’s Got Talent in the search for Nigeria’s biggest and brightest talents across the country” notes Obinna Anichie, General Manager Brand Assets, & Marketing Properties at Marketing Director Bharti Airtel International.

Regional auditions will kick off on October 9th   in Abuja and run till October 27 2013 when the Lagos editions will hold.

Nigeria's Got Talent season 2 is sponsored by Airtel with support from Malta Guinness.

Meanwhile producers have also announced that Andre Blaze will continue as show host. No words yet on this year's judges.
