Late Bolaji FINNIH |
Death so painful, so absolute, so very sad. Man's first and last enemy, infact man's most lethal enemy, who cares not if the person is male nor female, neither old or young, not even whether rich or poor, she comes and wherever she enters she only leaves a bad taste, forcing the families of those she takes away into a sorrowful dirge, grimace of anguish and a sense of regret.
And so like a bad wind that makes one to recoil with grimace, death came into the household of the Finnih's unwelcomed and unannounced and took away the 42 year old Bolaji Finnih, first son of Chief Dr. Oluyomi Abayomi Finnih, the famous Obstetrician and Gynecologist, who is the chairman and Chief Medical Director of the equally famous Finnih Medical Centre, Ikeja Lagos, who is also the Chairperson on the board of The Bridge Clinic, a former President of SOGON and a top chieftain of the APC in Lagos.
Bolaji, before his sudden demise and sad loss at age 42 due to "heart related issues", was the founder of "TechPreneur Africa" and was also the "convener and Co-Founder of Impact Hub Lagos", which only started official operations in October of 2017 and are located at Gerald Road Ikoyi Lagos. The hub is the 81st in the global network of hubs which fosters entrepreneurship and that spans the universe.
Bolaji was a fantastic and award winning scholar who was a graduate of Sloan Fellow's programme of the M.I.T that's the Massachusetts institute of technology. He was also a MasterCard Foundation Fellow and recipient of both the Sloan School of Management Dean's Fellowship and Sloan Fellow's Programme Global Scholars Fellowship awards. He was also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.
The very nice fellow according to gist, was being groomed gradually to take over his famous dad's vast business ventures/interests.
His dad & other family members, friends and associates from all indications have been inconsolable. .
May the soul of the dearly departed find rest. And may the Almighty give all those connected to the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
It's the fat! Lose weight, they won't listen; how can a 42 years old look like this?
ReplyDeleteRip Bolaji Finnih.
Maybe he had an underlying issue that made him put on weight like thyroid or lupus or something he may have been using steroids for to tackle. His father is a Doctor and would know best.
DeleteIt is the weight. Anyone with too much weight definitely will have heart problem reason why I said it in my previous comment that Latasha is too fat and need to lose weight but some ignorant fools said is a figure. Anyone knows that anyone that is fat will have cardiovascular disease and is a shame that his father that is a Doctor couldn't help him and maybe he does but he just didn't listen to him. Such s brilliant guy to have gone to MIT.
DeleteHis father as a doctor should know better that being overweight is a cause for heart related diseases. Folks let us
Deleteout awareness to heart disease related to being overweight and promote solutions by exercise and eating healthy. And for those people that didn't have ways to exercise, please try walk for at least 20-30 mins a day
Awww what a loss,a very young man.this life sef.RIP
ReplyDeleteBEE
Not again, another death...
ReplyDeleteYou are so insensitive. Even if that was what you are thinking in your head, must you say that???
ReplyDeleteAt 1.34 I'm not the Anonymous that left the comment but I think the comment might come as being insensitive but it might help some people to do something about being overweight. I remember a lot of people on this blog going gaga over Latasha and Toolz picture as having body figure whereas they weren't both overweight but obese and maybe pointing out that the guy died because of being overweight might be an EPIPHANY for them to do something about their weight
DeleteVery sad. He lost his daughter Kemi in 2009 and now this. Such pain. May he rest peacefully.
ReplyDeleteYou are actually very stupid and insensitive for this statement. Am sure you are very slim and won’t die one day.
ReplyDeleteOh people no one is happy or celebrating for someone death but sometimes God uses a situation as a wake up for other people to change. Sometimes in life, God uses negative to bring out positive for other people. It is life. His death might be used as a warning for others that were overweight to do something. Some family use the death of their loved ones to bring life to other people by donating all the ORGANS in the death person body.
DeleteWe should put those energy to raise an awareness to overweight killing our young people. We have lost too many of them to heart disease because they were overweight.
DeleteWe have lost Tastee Chicken son, Mike Adenuga brother in law ( Titi Adenuga's brother) and now this to heart disease related to being overweight. We can keep more people alive by focusing on the silent killer which is the extra weight
DeleteLook at the ignorant comment added by an equally ignorant individual hiding under the guise of anonymity. It can be quite sad that a lack of empathy and intellect can produce such as astonishingly ridiculous statement towards someone you perhaps do not know. I wish no one any harm but I can't deny that it does not cross my mind to know how It will be quite interesting to see how this anonymous nonentity would handle a such a loss of their loved one. Maybe then such comments will be non-existent in their thoughts. I pray you realise the lack of sensitivity in your words and retract before the Almighty shows you his wrath....TA
ReplyDeleteAt T.A. You are equally ignorant. Reason why Nigeria is not progressing. We do to put awareness to being overweight. People set up a foundation in the name of their lost ones to put awareness to whatever diseases that kills them and same should be gone to OBESE in our society. Sometimes it takes a bad situation to give other people the motivation to change. Maybe this brilliant young man's death might help a lot to stay alive too. My mother died of a particular situation but now I'm using my loss to help other family by putting awareness on that particular situation. Someone else's loss can be someone else's gain which is sad but hey that is life
DeleteThat was a very rude statement. How do you know "it is the fat".Why don't people mind their own business.I wonder what you look like at your age, you imbecile. Are you God? It's either you lack home training or you didn't receive the home training your parents gave you.Bloody Dork
ReplyDeleteyou are very rude and black hearted look at how you jump to conclusion.are you the one that weighed him???..i pity your friends...ekwensu
ReplyDeleteEducate yourself. Being overweight is cause for heart disease. No one is dancing or happy that such a brilliant guy with good credentials died but I'm begging you folks to let us all use this to put an awareness on people being overweight. Is not about the vanity but about the health. Tastee fried chicken owner lost her only son to heart disease that has to do with his weight. I'm in medical field and I can't stop telling people that being overweight is a tickling time bomb that need to be address ASAP in our society. I didn't leave that comment but at least that comment is making us to talk about being overweight that leads to heart disease
DeleteSo sorry for your lost. Rip to the dead. Anonymous 10:18am! That was so so insensitive of you to comment like that!
ReplyDelete*loss
DeleteCan we please be focus and promote healthy living to avoid obesity that leads to sudden death.
ReplyDeleteBeing overweight can be a factor in heart disease, but it's not the main one.
ReplyDeleteThere's stress (affects skinny and fat people alike)
Genetics (affects skinny and fat people alike)
Lifestyle, like smoking, drug abuse, lack of exercise, not controlling blood pressure etc. (affects skinny and fat people alike)
You people that want to pick on Latasha and Toolz, should do so with your chest and stop feigning concern about their health. Just say you don't like those bitches and let us hear word.
