TOSIN SARAKI AND NIYI OLUKOYA'S WHITE WEDDING IN ABUJA THE FCT

Maybe because of the many hoopla that attended the other parts of the wedding that had taken place before, the families were a lot more guarded as per this final installment, which took place in Abuja, the FCT.

We had reported in our earlier reports how this final installment was going to go. The mothers night preceded the main thing.

The main thing, which was the white wedding itself was at the Central Mosque in Abuja, where vows were exchanged amidst tight security on Friday, December 8, 2017, thereafter guests and all moved to the International Conference Centre Abuja, where the humongous reception took place, as was expected it was classy all the way, decent dressing and no "hoochie coochie lalala". As was expected also there was no alcohol whatsoever served, but food was in overabundance.

The entertainment factor was litt too as "Runtown and David Adeleke aka Davido" performed gleefully to everyone's delight, and later on Africa's best international act known to the world as "Wizkid" performed at the after party that had the younger crowd in attendance, and where alcohol later flowed as it was mainly the young crowd, who weren't held back by anything whatsoever.

In all, it was more like any other upscale wedding party that takes place everytime in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria. In attendance were many dignitaries, likes of Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo our Ex-president, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, top Government functionaries and other bigwigs, chief of which was Madam Patience Jonathan, the former first lady of Nigeria.

More after the break.

  1. Is the marriage arranged or is it a "love" relationship? I ask because, in all the pictures I've seen - be it the traditional etc., the man looks in all directions BUT in the direction of his bride. He also doesn't lock his fingers when they hold hands.

    1. The groom is tired! He didn't bargain for all this! Poor chap! Maybe he's missing his side babe!

  2. Picture with "Bride's dad, Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki & guest" - the guest being the President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Koroma.

Are there better pictures where they smiled? Her dress and make up aged her.

Dame Pashe damned her hubby and went to the wedding. No loyalty.

Gbemi, Tope and Laolu don't hang out with their brother anymore. The fight must be very bitter.

    I wish the couple well.

    2. No need for the insult! I guess the chunky looking Guy likes good food not necessarily junk food! Meanwhile, they need to reach Maje Ayida to help them in that department! They can afford him as their personal trainer!

  3. At Xoxo I thought I was the only one that noticed the groom's lack of interest. I didn't want to be called an hater reason why I didn't say anything about his body language. He wasn't in the moment as he looks like the marriage was being forced on him. Perhaps the bride was pregnant and her parents decided to do the wedding for her before the pregnancy shows because I expected him to look more cheerful as expected from a man marrying the love of his life. That is their cup of tea though.

    1. If the bride is pregnant, then that's great news for the groom to be cheerful! Is that the reason they didn't serve alcohol?

    2. 7.28 am I'm not sure if the bride is pregnant but one thing I know is that Bukola is very close to most of those big Alfa's and maybe they warned him that there shouldn't be alcohol at the wedding Can't point my finger to it but the wedding doesn't look festive and cheerful as expected a wedding to be, look bland and strange. Looks like a Political meetings though

    3. @12:56,Muslims aren't allowed near alcohol you know? It's only in Nigeria (and maybe some African countries, certainlly not the Arabs)they openly consume alcohol; I guess he doesn't want to give out the wrong message.

      Delete
    4. @ anon 12:56 True That and becasue he is a strong Muslim that’s why he refused to allow alcohol consumption at the daughters wedding. Even f he drinks or buys alcohol for friends or meetings, that’s to a close group. He can’t arrogantly encourage it especially becasue he wants albarka in the union. Much respect to him on that decision. He isn’t going to go against Allah’s saying just to score points as the best wedding of the year from people.

And BTW, those rich big boys love to be with an equally rich woman too. They have respect for you and ready to spend their last dime on you when you make something of yourself

    2. 7.35am. Show some respect as that another woman's husband. Although he is not a Saint and as a Muslim he is entitled to 4 wives but that should be his choice and not having a THIRSTY woman make a wrong proposition to him in public. Get yourself together and make a name for yourself intellectually

    2. The funny thing about the noise of this Saraki wedding is that none of the so called noise is from the families. The families just held their ceremonies in their home towns and the nation's capital without any stunting on social media. All the noise has been from gbeborun noisemakers. The newlyweds look reserved, quiet, circumspect and close to each other with the way they are holding hands. Quite regal bearing IMHO.

  16. The marriage wasn't arranged. Both parents didn't know each other prior to their children meeting. It's more like the groom isn't comfortable with the loud publicity and how bride's parents wish took over.

@Fan, I know Gbemi is tough but didn't expect kind Tope and a lil kind Olalu (as his side chics call him) to be this vengeful and not participate. But then their mother aunty Florence was in Abuja for it.

This type of discord will be passed on to the children. Chai!

    1. Abi, very unnecessary of Gbemi and Tope. Family fight and one day it would be over. At least grandma Saraki was wise. Gbemi own is too much. Laolu was at abuja with his wife.
Bride was just tired. Who won’t be. Very lovely couple and very in love too. Young people are always overwhelmed by all these ceremonies. The discord should end please. We are all growing up everyday and our kids can see all these things. Not healthy at all. Wishing the couple a wonderful married life

Amaka fall my hand I wouldn't lie. There was no need to even reference oby thus giving her a platform. After she started explaining that was how I did fastest fingers and caught on the whole thing. I had no idea about projectbaby until she started explaining her rant.
      Oby has no chills sha.
The does your child speak french comment by Amaka was NOT necessary and I think that was what turned oby's head. Wetin concern her son and you with your business. Very uncalled for.

As she was ranting I was just saying Amaka shut up o. No talk o. Let this thing die a natural death. Don't you have friends. You have more following than oby no go use your hand spoil your own market. No let this thing bring your leg out. See as oby just dusted her and signed it with her lawyer experience.
The truth is no one has a monopoly on early learning resources. The market is big enough for all. I expected both of them to have handled the whole thing better. All the fighting over text message was uncalled for. One of them should have just picked up the phone and handled it.

Please avoid texting things or putting anything in writing you don't want to hunt you later. Amaka's own was he say she say.
Oby had receipts! Always avoiding giving receipt to people especially when emotions are high.

  24. That Toyin's plain Jane look must be deliberate as a political wife. She goes for a polished look not a painted look. That her plain jane-ness out slays the slay queens. Very elegant woman.

  25. Anon 11 December 3:36AM. From your comment, it’s is clear you are cheap runs girl with very low self esteem. That woman Toyin is not ugly, I can’t call her beautiful but she’s got so much confiedence with the way she dresses and wears nude to almost no make up. And you can see she’s trained her daughter same way. It’s called CLASS, Please read my lips CLASSY! one the polished and affluent will understand what I mean and you are clearly nothing close to it.
I don’t know Toyin, Bukola Saraki so it’s fact, without any sentiment

  27. My 2 cents, there is a difference between pretty and beautiful. Toyin and her daughter don't do pretty, they do subtle understated beauty that's apparently very appealing to men. Most men I know think they are stunning while women think they are plain. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
