All things being equal the body of the late 'Pastor Mrs. Ibidunni Olajumoke Ituah Ighodalo nee Ajayi', the outstandingly beautiful wife of the Senior Pastor at 'Trinity House Church', 'Pastor Ituah Ighodalo' would be laid to final rest come this Saturday, June 20, 2020 in Lagos.
The boss of 'Elizabeth R Events' Company and the founder of the 'Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation' had passed on Sunday, June 14, 2020 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State where she had gone for work, precisely the construction of Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic Isolation Centers in the state. She was said to have died of Cardiac Arrest in her hotel room.
Yesterday Wednesday June 17, 2020 a beautiful, if one can still use such a word to describe anything engaged in anything that has to do with funeral, service of hymns tagged -Evening of hymns & candlelight was held in her honor, which attracted at least 4000 views and loads and loads of condolences and commiserations messages.
The service held at the Trinity House Church venue in Victoria Island extension, had Ibidunni's husband, kids, mother, siblings, friends and others in attendance. Keke her only daughter did a song written and made popular by Tim Godfrey titled 'Nara Ekele Mo', the quite popular and well loved Tosin Martins was also around to pay his tribute in songs too, mennnnn, the dude who was addressed as 'Pastor Tosin Martins' has a super fantastic voice. But before Tosin came on the stage, also was the incredibly gifted gospel songs merchant, who was introduced as a 'Psalmist' that's talking about the incredible 'Sammie Okposo' who gave an extraordinary account of himself. So emotional was Sammie as he sang as tears were pouring from his eyes as he sang from deep within. So also was Efe Nathan who mixed her song with speaking in tongues that got those at the venue somewhat elevated. The Vintage band also did a beautiful performance as they sang a medley of praise songs too, just as Bolaji Sax was awesome as he did his thing too. There were other beautiful performances too.
All through, It was obvious that Pastor Ituah was doing everything possible to hold himself in check, he had his 2 kids-Keke & Zenan around him, in fact when Keke went on the stage to do her song, Zenan went on stage later towards the end of her performance too to try to do his bit. Pastor Ituah must be well commended for having an extraordinary inner strength to face the world at this painful period. Obviously his faith and trust in his God must be the strength that has held him together at this time. He is obviously acting very strong for a lot of people. Looking at him he seems a bit lean already.
We must say this, having in mind some uninformed souls who would criticize how one should mourn their loss, that there is no particular format, formular, way, blueprint cast in stone that a person must follow or strictly adhere to, to mourn. So people should leave the mourning to the bereaved alone to do his thing the way he can or wants to.
Gospel giant Tope Alabi has even released an emotional video & song in commemoration of Ibidun in the aftermath of her demise. The avalanche of emotional outpourings haven't subsided by any means since her untimely passage to the great beyond was announced.
Continue to RIP beautiful soul.
In own opinion, I think the man is in shock. Shock does that to people
