Ramoni Raymond Ramon Olorunwa Igbalode Abbas

Mr. Hushpuppi

And so it all actually begins now. Just see how the cookie actually crumbles after living the fake life of the rich/stupendously wealthy and famous, but based on the life of criminality on the social media for so long, dazzling, mesmerizing & shaking all comers and then, gbam! Your arrest and the attendant notoriety!

Just imagine that you actually know very well that your source is not clean by any standards and as such, can be easily found out just by mere scratching the surface, but yet you decided to flaunt it like you don't give a care! Fu#$ it! In a glaring devil may care way! In fact, you even engage people in full blown social fights, disparaging them, just to bring more attention to your person! And the you doing the abuse has dirts hidden in your cupboard!

If the man, better still, the linchpin with many names- "Ramoni (Raymond-Ramon) Olorunwa Igbalode Abbas & his main henchman- 'Olalekan Jacob Ponle', the 2 scammer chiefs extraordinaire, who are better known to the world by their famous monikers as "Hushpuppi and Woodbery, had thought their arrests were a joke taken too far that would soon fade away to oblivion or just a quick nightmare that would soon go away before, now we are just too sure they know better already, reality must have since set in, that they are truly in for it and it's most definitely going to be a downhill journey henceforth for them. What a sad end!

Except maybe, just maybe if they can find a way, through their lawyers, who have to be outstanding, to negotiate a deal with the FBI, where they would readily confess to their crimes or the staggering allegations before them and then agree with the world famous crime busting organization to help them to sweep out all other notorious scammers like themselves around the nooks & crannies of the world, maybe then there would be a light out of the dark tunnel for the duo. Anything short of that, would be a very long time stay in the cooler for all those arrested, wearing the very famous florescent orange outfits of those in prison and instead of all those blazing, flashing jewelry with diamonds and precious stones they love to flaunt, for a long while it's going to be clanging shackles instead!

What a shame! To say the truth though & without mincing words, these boys, no doubt, enjoyed to the highest while their trip or the ovation lasted. Hmmmmm.....

According to the Dubai Police, both men who before now were internet sensations have now been handed over to the FBI, that's talking about the almighty American Crime busting agency the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This is not something anyone prays for to happen to them, except your hands are clean. Even at that, just a mere mention of them alone, sends jitters to ones spine!

A statement towards their release to the FBI by the Dubai Police on Thursday July 2, 2020 stated some things. It highlighted the Director of the FBI, Christopher Wray praising the UAE for the arrest and subsequent extradition of the duo to the US.

The full statement as monitored on the GULF NEWS site  https://gulfnews.com/uae/dubai-police-hands-over-hushpuppi-to-fbi-in-the-us-1.72374920 read thus-

“The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Christopher Wray has praised the exceptional efforts exerted by the United Arab Emirate, represented by the Dubai Police General HQ, in combating transnational organised cybercrime including the recent arrest of Raymond Igbalode Abbas, known as ‘Hushpuppi’ and Olalekan Jacob Ponle aka ‘Woodberry’ who were taken down in operation ‘Fox Hunt 2’.

He then extended his appreciations to the Dubai Police for their cooperation in extraditing the wanted criminals, who committed money-laundering and multiple cybercrimes, to the United States.”

According to Dubai Police, Hushpuppi and Woodbery, wanted for a series of crimes like money-laundering, fraud, hacking of websites and accounts, impersonation, banking fraud etc.

Hushpuppi and Woodbery were arrested with 10 other suspects on allegations of fraud, involving huge money.

Hushpuppi often posted pictures on Instagram with his luxury cars and private jet.

Last month, Dubai Police said that the operation called “Fox Hunt 2”, revealed a hidden online fraud network that was committing crimes outside the UAE, including money-laundering, cyber fraud, hacking, criminal impersonating, scamming individuals, banking fraud and identity theft.

Police said the raid resulted in seizure of incriminating documents pertaining to a well-planned international fraud worth Dh1.6 billion.

According to Dubai Police, the gang used to hack corporate emails and send fake emails to corporate customers to change money transfers to the gang’s personal banking accounts.

“They were designing and mimicking company and bank websites to steal credit card data and illegally obtain victims’ money before laundering the cash,” said Brigadier Jamal Al Jallaf Director of Criminal Investigation Department at Dubai Police.

During the arrest, police found a huge amount of data on individuals, companies, bank accounts, credit cards as well as documents of money laundering, online fraud and hacking accounts of victims outside the UAE.

“The forged documents pertained to online fraud outside the country. The fraud was worth more than Dh1.6 billion. We seized more than Dh150 million in cash from them and confiscated 13 luxury cars worth Dh25 million,” Brig Al Jallaf said.

Police confiscated 21 computers, 47 smartphones, 15 memory cards, five hard disks containing 119,580 fraud files as well as addresses of nearly two million victims.
