BRITISH VOGUE'S VANESSA KINGORI SET FOR GTBANK FASHION WEEKEND MASTERCLASS 2017.

Vanessa Kingori of British Vogue

The British Vogue is undoubtedly one of the undisputed holiest grail of fashion. Meaning it is a respected bible of fashion that fashionistas worth their salts don't do without, so for someone to be at the helm as the "Publishing Director", it is no fluke and no joke. Vanessa Kingori, is a respected master of the game, not only does she sit at the helm at Vogue, she also reigned supreme in that same position at of all publications, British GQ, where she was publisher also at GQ style! That's another highly revered fashion staple. In fact at British GQ, she oversaw the highest total annual revenue for the brand in the last decade. She was the first female Publisher of the title during its 30 year history.

Infact, the award winning publisher of an equally award winning brand, was a former fashion manager at Esquire Magazine and also worked at the Evening Standard's ES Magazine.

The Kenyan born bombshell, studied Management and Sociology at Royal Holloway University of London and upon graduation went into modeling before discovering publishing.

She is in fact the youngest and first female and first black publisher of any magazine under the revered umbrella known as Conde Nast UK publication.

For her stellar career path, she was awarded an MBE at the Queen's Birthday Honours list last year in 2016.

GTBank on the other hand since her emergence on the scene, has consistently over the years proven to be the preferred banking institution. The bank has won every of the awards available and expected, all of these and more have set the bank apart as an institution of great pedigree. Her annual fashion gathering GTBank Fashion Weekend has garnered an extraordinary followership that has also set it apart has a must be at and must expect annually.

As a part of the highly sought after masterclass series for 2017, the well respected figure to take charge of one of the classes is none other than, the stupendously gorgeous Vanessa Kingori. Vanessa and GTBank collaboration is an alignment most definitely made in heaven.

Vanessa Kingori as one of the masterclass coach, would share her vast knowledge on global trends shaping fashion.

The GTBank Fashion Weekend I set for November 11 & 12, 2017.

We are looking forward to attending the masterclass, just like loads of others are too.

TOP LAGOS FASHION DESIGN BRAND GETS NOD FROM BRITISH VOGUE

Ella & Gabby is most definitely on a fantastic roller-coaster. Why? We are sure many are already asking. It's because they only started just about a year ago & it's not every day that one gets to appear in Vogue and British Vogue for that matter. The launch of the brand was at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island and in attendance were loads and loads of Lagos based fashionistas and style mavens, who had come to see what the latest fashion design brand had to offer. After the very classy showcase ended, many couldn't believe that the brand had only just started. It was kudos galore, with people particularly talking about a big star in the making ready to explode.

Immediately after her launch, the brand came out with its Look book, which had one of Africa's best models in the world, in Millen Magesa wearing many of the brand's outfit.  After that, the next point of call was the 2nd edition of the Africa Fashion Week London 2012, which held at the Spitalfields Market Hall, during the 2012 London Summer Olympics, the AFWL 2012  featured over 60 designers. The brand stood out like the sun and many international media house recognised them and duly sought them out.

Now just at the tail end of 2012, the world renowned British Vogue Magazine, known for excellence world over picked the brand- Ella & Gabby from Nigeria, as one of the brands to look out for in the course of the year. British Vogue, in their January 2013 edition, featured Ella & Gabby on their Designer's Profile Page and we hear a main feature is still upcoming in the next few weeks in the same magazine.

That's not all, Tattler and other top international fashion & lifestyle magazines are also calling. We are so  glad that the creative industry is bringing good PR for the country. And we must give kudos to Ada Mgbudem, the creative director of the fashion & lifestyle brand Ella & Gabby for a job well done.
