CEECON ENERGY BOSS, DR. CHIMA ANYASO ADDRESSES HIS SUPPORTERS IN THE AFTERMATH OF HIS GALLANT LOSS AT THE LAST ELECTION SAYING "ALL HOPE IS NOT LOST"

After his unexpected but gallant loss at the last House of Assembly election in Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State, man of the people, who many had thought would effortlessly coast home to a sure victory at the election, by virtue of the support he felt he had gotten from his people, owing to so much he had done for his community over the years, through many great economic interventions and philanthropy, has come out to assure his admirers and supporters who had rooted for him, that all hope is not lost after all, even after his sad loss.

Dr. Chima Anyaso, after he had defeated his well supported incumbent at their party's primary in 2018 to carry the party's flag then, had elicited a lot of hope and confidence, with people generally believing that his victory at the actual election come 2019, was already a foregone conclusion. But alas, after the whole excitement of the election process of February 23, 2019 had died down, the boss of Ceecon Energy, a oil and gas concern amongst his several investments, who is an avowed philanthropist per excellence had lost shockingly and unbelievably to the candidate of the APC, who had had the full backing of the newly elected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in the person of the former Governor of Abia State, Sir Orji Uzor Kalu. Who incidentally was at a time, a very close elder-friend and father figure to Chima Anyaso, both being indigenes of the same village, Igbere in Bende LGA of Abia State.

There was a time because of how close both families were so (that of the Anyasos & Orji Kalus) close to each other, that it was even speculated that, Chima was going to marry Neya, the 1st daughter of Orji Uzor Kalu then, though nothing evee came out of  the relationship, as it never worked out after all.

Since the relationship between the son and his political father fell apart over what we can not actually pinpoint, it was just time ticking gradually towards when the father would pay back the son, for abandoning him. That time came just only last week at the elections. And like shylock would have have done, Sir Orji Uzor Kalu got his pound of flesh, when through his support his preferred candidate Benjamin Kalu of the APC won by polling 9139 votes against the PDP candidate in the person of Chima Anyaso who could only poll 5591 votes and therefore, Kalu of APC was declared the winner, living his former son Chima, to mourn his loss.

But just so that he could reassure his numerous admirers and supporters that all hope is not actually lost and that maybe the loss could still be remedied some way, Chima has written a message addressed to them all thus-

"My friends, brothers, sisters, and well-wishers,

Dear all;

Please, I want to encourage everyone here to remain calm and prayerful until we uncover the whole truth about what has happened regarding the last election.

Although I am surprised that such amount of electoral fraud can be committed in this time and age, still I am not worried at all, instead, I am rest assured that the needful will be done at the right time.

Trust that I will inform this forum of my decision moving forward. Of course, beyond the stormy politics of Nigeria, my desire is to keep and nurture this forum because I have personally learned a lot from the solid personalities who are here and the kind of debates and broad-minded discussions that happens here daily.

I do not want anyone to give up hope. I have not given up and will never give up hope for a better country.

His community in Bende Federal Constituency had been clamoring for him to come out all of these years to represent them politically for a while now and he had stylishly declined claiming not to be ready. But finally this season, after being asked again he decided the time had come to pitch in and heed the call of his people who love him to the state of worship!!!

Reason for the near cult like followership is not far-fetched at all, it's because the young man from quite an early age had identified with his people, long before politics came into it, no year passes without him doing one major thing or the other for his beloved community. Chima Anyaso in his 30s is from Igbere in the Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

You cannot enter that town without you immediately feeling the weight of the young, handsome and quite successful businessman, who apart from running a thriving business that's into oil and gas, hospitality and more, he is also an award winning and extraordinary philanthropist par excellence!!!

Mention the Anyaso name and it immediately rings a massive and magical bell. One of the schools in the area, probably the best school in the area, was founded by the young man and sponsored by him. Imagine funding the education of more than a hundred kids, whose parents do not pay a 'single kobo' to attend the school. There's nothing of note in the town that his hand has not touched before, Is it the biggest church in the community or what? Even his country home which is also one way the Ibos identify with their own, is a statement in class. A very beautiful and massive bungalow, that's very well laid out on a very large expanse of land with all the amenities needed in full supply. It is a place of convergence when Chima is home, which is quite often.

Apart from the fact that on his own alone he is well recognized and well followed, he is even a godson of the most powerful and probably most influential politician from his home base, in the person of 'Sir Orji Uzor Kalu'. though both are not now in the same party, as Sir Orji is now a member of the APC. Not only that alone, Chima is also married to one of the favorite daughters of South East political juggernaut, Senator Arthur NZERIBE. When he got married in the East a few years back, it was a carnival of a sort that many prominent people attended.

So when he finally decided to yield and follow the dictate of his community to represent them, those who knew him, immediately conceded that come what may, he was going to win any election whatsoever he enters into, that's because many things were already speaking for his goodwill. The 1st step towards his main goal to win the House of Representatives election into the House, was for him to test his popularity and might against another very popular and widely supported incumbent, in the person of Hon. Nnenna Elendu UKEJE, who was geared to go for a 4th term, having been 1st elected to represent her people in 2007, then got re-elected in 2011 and 2015, she had wanted to go again in 2019.

A total of 161 delegates had taken part in the election out of which Chima Anyaso polled 82 votes that's exactly 50% of the votes, he was closely followed by the outgoing incumbent who polled 70 votes about 49% of the total votes. After the whole exercise was concluded, the loser was magnanimous in defeat, congratulating Chima and restating her commitment to her party, the PDP, stating that the election was free and fair and that Chima won truly. She further thanked the people for their support over the years.

Whoever from the other parties, be it APC, APGA and the likes that would vie for the post with Chima Anyaso, would have to be at their very best or else Chima might just win the election by as much as a landslide for he has thr live and support of the people overwhelmingly!!!

1ST OUTFIT

It was an unprecedented carnival sort of when the Chairman & CEO of Nepal Oil & Gas, Elder Ekeoma Ekeoma and his delightsome wife Ngozi Ekeoma hosted everyone at their first daughter's Igba Nkwu Nwanyi last weekend in Igbere, Bende LGA of Abia State. 


From the Owerri Airport has you land, everyone knew something major was happening somewhere in town, there were several Toyota Hiace buses owned by the Young Shall Grow Transport company ready on ground to convey most of the guests landing from all over, just confirm you were here for the Ekeomas or the Anyasos, then you were immediately given the royal treatment, off you go in the air-conditioned buses for the 1 and half hour journey to Igbere. In preparation for the many guests coming to town the families involved had booked all the hotels & guest houses for their guests, so as you land you get taken to your place. Truth be told it was a massive event. 

By the time we arrived at the expansive country home of Elder Ekeoma & Ngozi, you could  see very clearly that preparation had been done to receive a colossal number of guests. The place was superbly decorated and gift bags containing bags of rice and other gifts were already placed on each chair ready to be picked up by the guests. Because Ezinne is Chima Anyaso's niece and Kelechi the groom his friend, he  put in so much effort to make sure all things were on ground to host all his hundreds of friends and other guests that were coming to celebrate him and his family. 

By like 2pm the traditional wedding ceremony began, the master of ceremony was the incredible Okey Bakassi, who was dressed like an Honourable member of the House of Assembly, in his resource control outfit, atop a beautiful pair of suede shoes, as usual he was on the top of his game, dishing out jokes and instructions with authority and great aplomb, to the delight of all. 

Kelechi the groom is a very handsome guy, much to the delight of all that were at the venue, we are sure many of the single ladies at the event would have loved to have him as theirs, Ezinne also,  is young nubile beauty, who could have won a beauty contest any day, were she to have been taller. The first to arrive as tradition dictates was Kelechi and he came with many of his friends in tow, he was welcomed to the occasion by Chima Anyaso, thereafter he was received by the family. Later on the superbly gorgeous Ezinne was called out, and she came out in her tradition outfit with native beads adorning her body looking every inch like a Princess, she was in the midst of her many gorgeous friends who all wore sunflower yellow outfits, sown in very may stylish ways. They equally looking gorgeous and the bride were a delight to watch as they danced in, to Ezinne's favourite song. 

Thereafter all that tradition dictated to be done was done, the sharing of kolanuts etc. Ezinne was told to go find her husband, something she went away to do with aplomb and thereafter both were joined together according to the Igbo's native law & custom. The drama and display of culture was a beauty to behold and even be a part of. 

It was a gathering of the movers and shakers of the Eastern parts of Nigeria mixed with guests from many other parts, some of those we saw were the likes of the former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, billionaire mogul & owner of Ibeto Groups of Companies, Clement Ibeto, Senator Andy Uba, Professor Anya O. Anya, Senator Joy Emordi, Dr. Alex Otti MD/CEO of Diamond Bank, Kalu Idika Kalu- Former federal Minister for Finance, Charles Odunukwe, a Special Adviser to the President of Nigeria, Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe- the Chairperson of Fleet Technologies Ltd & ED of Enterprise Bank, Hon. Chinenye Ukeaje, Dimgba Igwe, Ahmad Damcida, Dada Awosika, Kunle Robert, Sir J.I.A Arumemi-Ikhide, Chairman of Arik Air, Princess Mrs. Nzeribe, Chief Kalu Ogbonna, Eze Uche I.C Dimgba, Dr. Uche Ogah, President Masters Energy Oil & Gas Ltd, Uju Ifejika and very many others.

We were on ground to cover the beautiful event for your viewing pleasure. The upcoming white wedding we hear is set for Saturday, August 9, 2014 in Lagos at the Oriental Hotel, on the Island, that is sure going to be another superlative occasion.

OUT & ABOUT AT ADANNA & CHIMA ANYASO'S WEDDING RECEPTION- MAESTRO'S MEDIA EXCLUSIVE

The reception after the fairytale wedding ceremony between Adanna & Chima was the opportunity for the couple to let off steam, relax and have major fun. After the exchange of vows and the signing of the marriage register, unto the reception ground in their Vintage Rolls-Royce they went after chilling for a few minutes to catch their breath.


Many who couldn't make the first part (exchange of vows), made sure they attended the merriment and sure as expected everyone had unbridled fun. The white marquee was filled to capacity with friends, family members & associates of the couple. At least not less than 500 guests were in attendance. All gaily & colourfully attired. 

Those who had not seen the couple in their wedding outfits were eagerly waiting to have a view of them and they weren't disappointed when they were ushered in flanked on both sides by the gorgeous maids of honour & suave groomsmen. The maids of honour all wore pink, while the groomsmen all wore petroleum blue suits, white shirts, red ties & with red pocket hankies. It was a great sight to behold. 

The bride in her gorgeous white wedding outfit looking all virginal, while the handsome six foot plus tall groom was the epitome dapperness in his natty cream tail coat worn over a pure white shirt and black waist-coat, atop his black trousers and finishing it off with a black tall hat & not forgetting his black bow-tie, those Louis Vuitton shoes were totally on point. 

The couple danced into the hall to every one's delight. The obviously ecstatic Chima is obviously very nimble on his feet and he showed a bit of his dexterity on the dance floor to the delight of all, Adanna on the hand was obviously very shy, but she still swayed majestically like a princess to the beats as they came inside the marquee and so the exciting proceedings began. 

The sweet looking duo were then introduced as the newest couple in town. The VIP guests, the likes of Mrs Florence Ajimobi, Sir Emeka Ihedioha, Chief Alabo Graham-Douglas, Leo Stan-Ekeh, Willie & Nkiru Anumudu and many others were then introduced to all. Later on the deputy speaker was called upon to advise the couple on the new journey they had just begun. Chief Leo Stan-Ekeh also spoke for a bit, mainly acknowledging that the speaker had already spoken, so there was really little to add and Mrs. Florence Ajimobi thereafter led the couple in cutting their 7-tier cake, praying for the success of the union. 

The couple thereafter fed themselves with a little bit of drama to the delight of all, 'twas obvious that love was heavy in the air, it was so thick one could cut it with a knife. After a bit more ceremony the gorgeous bride later went away to change into another outfit, this time around a bedazzling cobalt blue outfit, another winner by miles. Thereafter, the 2nd round of dance, dance, dance began, but with everyone now very involved. As it is expected with any Nigerian occasions/events it was the opportunity for money spraying and since this was a London affair, it was more of Dollars & Pounds that was sprayed.

All in all, everyone had a rollicking time.  Many not minding the 2 hours drive back to London at all.
