GTBank Builds Nigeria’s First Digital Play Centre for Children

Banks only build branches, or so the story goes. Except for Guaranty Trust Bank Plc; the foremost African financial institution, which has been at the forefront of several innovative products and services, recently completed and opened the first digital playground for children in Nigeria.

Located in Lekki, Lagos State, the GTBank Play Centre is equipped with a wide range of interactive games that will give kids a fun and immersive digital experience whilst aiding their mental and intellectual development. Open from 10am to 3pm on Weekdays, and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays, some of the features of the Play Centre include the Sketch Town, where kids can design cars, launch rockets, and bring all their sketches to life. At the playground, children can also use the wide range of bricks available to build whatever excites their curiosity and also express themselves creatively by scribbling, writing and drawing on a digital chalkboard.

It's not the best of news to hear especially when it concerns a young, vibrant, highly intelligent, well trained youth whose bautiful future stairs him in the face. Imagine that it's at an age that the person is getting set to take on the world and conquer and then, all of a sudden, like a whiff of wind, you are here now and gone in the next minute. It is so sad!

When we heard the sad news of the sudden and tragic death of the second son of ANSELM Tabansi, the boss at Fahrenheit Hotel and his adorable wife, Wendy by name Jesse via a ghastly motor accident we were aghast, so shocked were we that we went numb for several hours not able to function at all! Part of the reason for our shock was because his parents were very close to their children and these kids were all very well trained and the pride of the whole family, the pride of any parents at that. It is not always easy to see your child through the many several stages of growth and then just at the cusp of total freedom when they are about to showcase all of the investments of all the years, something this terrible, this painful, this irreparable, irredeemable happens and they are taken from you and are gone forever, like a smoke or puff of air.

Who would console a loving and very devoted mom? What can help to reduce or take away the pain and anguish?

The handsome and highly intelligent 22 year old tall kid had apparently gone out for some fun with his friend, both were involved in a ghastly motor accident in Lekki that immediately claimed the life of Jesse, who was on the passenger sit of the car, the particular side that was most severely affected. It has been "suggested but not confirmed" that maybe the seat belt wasn't in use, so the damage done was too ghastly to be described here as it was said to have been tragically extensive. So while Jesse unfortunately passed on immediately due to the injuries sustained, his friend who drove the car was said to have gone into coma immediately, which he is said to have or might have come out from, but might be paralysed due to the extent of the injury sustained.

The home of the Tabansi's have since become like a mecca as people from all over, friends and family members, business associates and all have been visiting to condole the family over their huge and irreplaceable loss.

May Jesse Tabansi, 22 find rest may he be forgiven his sins and may God grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear the sad loss. We also pray for the survival of the other friend that's still on hospital bed.

Young, very beautiful and somewhat street smart girls are always evolving daily. With money not that easy to come by as it used to and them needing to always represent very well, needing to look good, carrying the latest bags, wearing the latest outfits, going to the so called right places, where all the so called right people converges, they are willing to go to any length to up their game and rake in the money from the game too.

There's now the new way to hawking (that is selling wares). Selling wares? Yes, selling wares! Just in case you are still wondering what commodities we are talking about here, it's none other than the ladies putting themselves out there, for any that can pay!

Just in case you are still pretending not to understand it, let us explain. Dotting several places on the island now, are the "new types of brothels in the name of hostels". A madame or a businessman, would rent a space. It can be 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms and then totally turn it up or remodel the space to accommodate bunk beds.

SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR LIZ GAVY GET SET TO OPEN MULTI MILLION NAIRA NEW & EXCITING VENTURE

Baring any unforeseen circumstances, serial entrepreneur and fashionista "Liz Gavy is getting set to declare open sometime soon, something very very dear to her heart.

As we speak, all her attention and focus are on this new venture, located somewhere in Lekki Phase 1 on the island.

This venture is not a small affair at all by any standards, as several millions tending towards ₦50 million has already gone into it. The business has to do with "food" and to make it happen, the curvaceous mother of one has gone all out to make it a stand out one by all standards.

We hear that people would be very impressed by the whole set up, when they see it. Knowing Liz for being who she is, all the details, Interior etc would be top notch.

This new concern is in a one storey "edifice" that has set the lady back by tens of millions. It would be a food mart of the best standard, a food market, a first class restaurant and even a cold room with all the works. To make sure all things are in place and top notch, she went abroad to bring in all the superb equipments, which has also set her back by another several tens of millions again.

The way things are going, the new place and business should be opened sometime soon and knowing Lizzy also known as Leila very well, that opening whenever but would happen, is sure going to be with a lot of fanfare and razzmattazz and very grand by all standards.

Liz has been into shoe retailing for several years now, with 2 well known branches of the "Shoe Lounge" on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi and Murphis Plaza, Victoria Island, Lagos, though she later shutdown the V. Island store. At the height of the stores glory, it was the Mecca where all shoe lovers, aficionados and fashionistas used to converge when they needed to update their shoe wardrobes and we heard they used to have endless "shoegasms" by what was always on offering. So she surely must have made crazy money from that venture then.

Knowing that food business is a sure venture, we are sure that if this becomes an immediate hit, then Liz is already more assured of her place in the business stratosphere.

Kudos to her for her never say die attitude. 

SMALL MAN BIG STATURE. CHRONIC DEBTOR UNPARALLELED

Like described above, our subject is actually brief in actual size (Petit would have described him the best), but small as he is in size, he over compensates for it, as he has the mentality of a giant 4 times his size.

Dude owns a gigantic edifice of a house somewhere in the Lekki area of Lagos, which astounds all those who have ever laid eyes on it, he did justice to that mansion of a home. Dude counts amongst his fleet of cars, a Ferrari Spyder and a Lamborghini, and that's just to mention only those topmost of the range cars, there are the other normal cars too.
