NO CHANGES ON FORBES RICH LIST AS ALIKO DANGOTE, ADENUGA, OTEDOLA, ALAKIJA, DANJUMA STILL TOPS LIST

The annual rich list of the mega men and woman was released again for 2017 and the positions occupied by many of those listed hasn't changed at all, neither the value of their wealth too.

Apart from Femi Otedola, Tony Elumelu and Jim Ovia who all sometimes moves up or down on the ladder before. Femi Otedola has now retained his 3rd position again.

Perennial number 1 and 2 remained fixed, as Aliko Dangote is still the Numero Uno liquid man with a staggering worth as stated by Forbes to be $12.5billion followed by Dr Michael Agbolade Adenuga.

Here is the full list according to their positions and their worth.

Aliko Dangote- Nigeria's richest and by extension Africa's wealthiest and also "Richest Blackman alive", said to be worth $12.5 billion. The value of his worth is not as it used to be meaning his position on the world's richest list from the high of nos 24 has now gone down to less than first 100 in the world.

Otunba 'Dr' Michael Agbolade Adenuga. Nigeria's consistent nos 2 richest. The owner of Globacom Nigeria nos 2 telecommunications company and owner of several other brands, with investments in several other pies.  Net worth is put at $10.5 billion. Some have claimed consistently that he might be worth more than the value above.

Femi Otedola. Nigeria's current nos 3. A position that he sometimes inter changes with others. The father of DJ Cuppy has experienced the down time which really affected his wealth and worth a while back, but he has since bounced back gallantly. A testament to his strength and ability is him occupying this 3rd position now with a net worth of $2.3 billion. The owner of Zenon and chairman of Forte oil is a survivor.

Folorunsho Alakija. Hers is the story of grace. The MD of Famfa Oil is said to be the undisputed Richest woman in Nigeria and probably the richest woman of African descent, there's the issue sometimes about who is richer between her and the Angolan first daughter. The former fashion designer has since grown in leaps and bounds. The UK would not forget the wedding of her son to his beau that held at a palace recently. The media spoke about that wedding with such gloss, that made Africans and Nigerians all over the world proud. Her net worth is placed at $2.1 billion.

The very handsome son and scion of the billionaire dollar Adenuga dynasty (dad is the 5th richest African in the world) has not been seen or heard from of late. Unlike before where one would have seen him at one gig or the other (he used to loved popping into one or two clubs, lounges, joints etc) or heard from him, he used to represent Glo at one or 2 events sometimes in the past, it's like he has totally gone incommunicado, totally off the radar. Is he even in Nigeria anymore? What is he or has he being up to of late?



Or has he gone back abroad, either back to school for a new Master's degree or doctorate or something? You cannot but notice the handsome, short Afro wearing dude then whenever he was any where, thanks majorly to the very ubiquitous barrel chested bodyguards that always surrounds him wherever he goes to. 

While asking for the dude's whereabouts, it would also be nice if we were to know if it's true that the very reclusive billionaire does not get along that well or very well with his first 2 sons- Jide & Paddy?

CONGRATULATIONS TO BELLA & JAMEEL DISU ON THEIR NEW BABY

Though we heard late, it is better late than never at all. Otunba Mike Adenuga's favourite daughter- Bella Adenuga-Disu some days back, at most about a week and half ago gave birth to her 2nd child, adding to the growing clan of the billionaire's grand-children, mother and her new baby her doing very very well. 

The naming ceremony we heard was on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, meaning she would have given birth on the Tuesday, March 18, 2014 preceding the Tuesday of the naming ceremony. As per the names given the new baby we do not know yet, but we would get it across as soon as we are able.

Congratulations to the couple on the new addition. 2 now, about 2 more to go we think!

FLORENCE ITA GIWA GETS ANOTHER MULTIMILLION NAIRA APARTMENT NEAR HER OLD ONE

The highly connected and gloriously stylish former Senator doesn't do things by half measures. Everyone that cares to know, know that she's well heeled and that she owns an apartment to overlooks the Ocean at Ocean Parade inside that billionaires enclave known to all as Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos. CNN once carried a report stating that Banana Island is one of the most expensive real estate spot or neighborhood in the world, even Forbes agreed with that fact. Stating that it is at par with the likes of Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan or La Jolla in San Diego, California, USA or even the 7th Arrondissement in Paris, France. 


A peek at her apartment a long time ago spoke of class and style. Not to lie its the kind of apartment one would love to own. We heard that the old Ocean Parade apartment reportedly cost her several millions equivalent of about $1.4 million dollars, this is chicken feed for the ever stylish Mma Bakassi who doesn't do things in small measure, who has now gotten another apartment in the compound next to Ocean Parade called BellaVista. Ocean Parade from what we could deduce is said to be owned by the Chagourys.

Bellavista is one of the several sprawling properties in Banana Island. It is described as a 3 to 4 bedroom waterfront, luxury  and fully serviced apartments. It comes as a 3 bedroom detached or a super luxury 4-bedroom penthouse, with BQ, pool, gym, lawn-tennis court, squash court, in fact all the works. 
As at the last check, apartments inside Bellavista goes for something between $80,000 & $125,000 dollars per annum and to buy outright from about N200,000,000 million plus. Mma Bakassi's own said to be on the 9th floor is said to set her back by about $3million dollars. To make the place fit for herself, she's said to have totally transformed the apartment into a sort of palace. With all the trappings needed to make it extra luxurious. The former Senator is said to have sold her old apartment at the Ocean Parade. 

We hear several top honchos live there and unconfirmed reports says that a particular state chief executive owns several empty apartments on some of the blocks. Just like the name Bella Vista means - Beautiful sight, this blocks of several apartments is a beauty to behold and a money making edifice. 

According to the gist, Mma Bakassi got the apartment a long while ago and only just started being visible there not too long ago.

We totally love the preggie picture of Otunba Michael Adenuga's favorite chid, Bella Disu showing off her adorable baby bump. From the looks of things, she's most definitely in her 3rd trimester. 

Meaning that the bundle of joy is sure to come before the end of the first quarter of 2014.
