We weren't able to make it to the showcase at the Havillah Event Center, Oniru, on Sunday, February 23, 2014, but from the gist we got, it was a great event. It was the showcase of House of Nwocha's (HON) S/S 14 collection. 


It's obvious from what we could see from the pictures that the creative director in the person of Ugonna Omeruo, has really matured in her direction and delivery. We see sexy outfit, yet not vulgar. Good colour progression and a collection that has a beginning and a climax. 

We got the pictures (both of the collection & the audience) of the event for your viewing delight. Some of those that graced the event were the likes of Rita Dominic, who wears a lot of HON designs, Eunice Efole, Damilola Adegbite, Toke Makinwa, Veronica Ebie-Odeka, Osas Ighodalo, Lilian Unachukwu, Olu Maintain, Ono Bello, Onah Nwachukwu, Lola Okojevoh, Uche Nnaji, Amaechi Okobi, Dr. Ojia Adamolekun, Michelle Dede & several others.

HOUSE OF NWOCHA PRESENTS ITS SPRING/SUMMER 2014 COLLECTION

CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF HOUSE OF NWOCHA-UGONNA OMERUO

To kick off the New Year, one of Nigeria’s top Fashion Design Houses – House of Nwocha is proud to present its S/S14 Collection scheduled to be showcased on the 23^rdof February 2014.

House of Nwocha will be showcasing two collections “White Rose” and “Red 13”.

The WHITE ROSE collection is all about femininity, fun and prints. From the monochrome lush  floral print to the burgundy and white floral print, this collection is all about having fun in the sun in floral and stripped prints. From the hand painted burgundy floral theme prints, high-waisted dungarees and crop tops from the 90s, this collection is embellished to perfection. As well as the preppy party dresses and cut out day dresses.

Floral is a part of the House of Nwocha repertoire for summer looks. Judging from the cuts and colors of this collection, House of Nwocha is all about luxury living and clients whose lifestyle include cocktails on a yacht.

RED 13 is described as a collection that signifies fire, blood, energy, war, danger, strength, determination and passion.

House of Nwocha uses this color to describe sensuality, passion and evoke erotic feelings we have been known to associate with Red.

Red is an intense color and this collection will be telling a story of all these emotions and elements.

This invite-only event will be attended by fashion buyers, editors, top stylists, bloggers, socialites, celebrities and fashion lovers alike.

The fashion event will be fused with entertainment from some of Nigeria’s best female vocalists such as Waje, Ms. Jaie, Yemi Alade etc.
