ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK ,LAGOS 2012- OFFICIAL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

EXPECT A 100 METERS LONG RUNWAY! waoh!!! Yes, we hear people's mind will be blown sky high!!!!!!

We hear top editors from GQ, Glamour, Elle are already in town.

The eyes of the world would be focused on Lagos, Nigeria from tomorrow, Tuesday, March 6, 2012. We hear the world's media from far and wide are either here already, or would be arriving tonite and for those not coming, technology would afford them the opportunity to see the goings on wherever they are.

Things would start happening from tomorrow, starting with press registration from between 12 Noon and 4PM, thereafter would be the lighting of the fashion torch, which would then be followed by a seminar on the business of fashion and a special welcome VIP Cocktail reception an invites only event, then would begin the meat of the matter itself, the fashion show the next day.  Frank Osodi should have opened this year's fashion week, the extra-ordinarily talented couturier of note seems to have a special understanding of the female form, and therefore knows how to drape it fantastically well, and his showcase would have been followed by that of South Africa's Kluk CGDT, made up of the duo of Malcom Kluk and Christiaan Gabriel du Toit according to the initial schedule of events.

OZWALD BOATENG OBE

But we hear that the 1st day's schedule has been re-jigged and by that no fashion show would be happening tomorrow, Frank Osodi’s showcase is now on Wednesday and Kluk CGDT to now showcase just before Ozwald on the last day.

The next day-Wednesday, March 7, 2012 is when the Arise Fashion Week would really begin with about 13 Designers showcasing in between 5 sessions and then the day would close with music performances from yet to be ascertained music acts, the same process then goes on Thursday, Friday, Saturday till the last day-Sunday, March 11, where 18 designers would showcase and the grand finale show of the night would be by Ozwald Boateng OBE, the top class UK born Ghanaian designer, immediately after his showcase which everyone is eagerly looking forward to as he his known to be a showman, there would be the ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION AWARDS & then the night would be closed by music acts yet to be ascertained, but everyone is so sure that the Publisher of Arise- Prince Nduka Obaigbena is going to bring in a class act(s) to bring the week long showcase to a befitting climax.

According to some unconfirmed feelers we have only just gotten, someone major is set to appear on the last day that would blow every one's mind. As soon as we know who, we would inform you all.
