TINIE TEMPAH, MARIO BALOTELLI, IDRIS ELBA, RICHARD AYOADE, CHUKA UMUNNA & OTHERS MAKE GQ'S TOP 50 MOST STYLISH LIST


We can bet you are all wondering what we are on about? Who is GQ? It's none other than the award winning, monthly men's style bible-Gentlemen's Quarterly. The fantastic magazine where the incredibly talented-Dylan Jones reigns as the supremo in their March 2012 edition, that has the incredibly gorgeous and fantastic British actress-Keira Knightley on its cover, published its annual "BEST DRESSED MEN'S LIST" a few weeks ago. 


What's so fantastic about that, some would say, it's an expected annual ritual the Magazine with a worldwide follower-ship publishes every year. Yes we agree, it's nothing new, it's always expected. What we are on about, are some of the names that has appeared rather prominently on the list. YES! Prominently, they are not just filling the numbers, but in fantastic positions. Occupying the prime position on the list as King of style, as agreed by some panel of judges, made up of the likes of - Giorgio Armani, Christopher Bailey-BURBERRY, Gary Barlow, Frida Giannini-GUCCI, Tom Ford, Domenico Dolce |& Steffano Gabbana- D&G,Tommy Hilfiger, Anya Hindmarch, Richard James, Dylan Jones, Kelly Rowland, Piers Morgan, Dermont O'Leary, Sir Paul Smith just to mention a few, agreed that our very own- TINIE TEMPAH is the nos 1 style man- yes!-Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu-the English rapper and like his name correctly suggests of Nigerian origin, he is not just a style buff, but is also presently enjoying world acclaim by virtue of his music. The 24 years old handsome dude has the world eating from his palms.

Guess who is occupied the 2ND position on the style list? The one, the only- enfant terrible- the 6 foot 2" tall, Black Sicilian wonder kid born of Ghanaian parents- MARIO BARWUAH BALOTELLI ,21, who plies his trade with the current English Premiership League leaders- Manchester City.

Also on the GQ shortlist of the best dressed were- ADRIEN SAUVAGE, 29, he is an English Fashion designer, director and photographer of Ghanaian descent, he is 44th on the list, occupying nos. 36 on the list is RICHARD AYOADE 35, a British comedian, actor, writer and director, who like the name suggests was born to a Nigerian father-Layide Ade Laditi Ayoade and a Norwegian mother. 34Th on the list is CHUKA HARRISON UMUNNA 33, a British Labour Party Politician and Lawyer, he is presently an MP. His dad is an Igbo man, from Awka, Anambra State in Nigeria. 11Th on the list is Dylan Kwabena Mills aka DIZZEE RASCAL 28, who is an English rapper, songwriter and record producer of both Ghanaian and Nigerian heritage, late dad was a Nigerian and mom was the Ghanaian. Occupying the 7TH position on the list is the exceptionally gifted actor-IDRISSA AKUNA ELBA 40, the English TV, theatre and film actor. His dad is Sierra Leonean and Mom Ghanaian. On a shortlist of 50 that had such names like- David Beckham-nos 13, Angelo Gallaso- nos 19, Dermot O'Leary nos 18, David Furnish & Elton John at nos 15 & 20 respectively, Prince Charles at nos 50, Piers Morgan at nos 48, Daniel "James Bond 007" Craig at nos 37, Colin Firth at nos 31 etc, then Kudos must definitely go the way of this sons of Africa, who have  all done the continent proud.
