The acting PRESIDENT of Nigeria in the person of his excellency, Professor Yemi Osinbajo was hosted by the Governor, Government and people of Cross Rivers State today, Friday, June 2, 2017 to a state visit. And to make sure that the visit was a monumental one, that really counted. The government made sure the VP and acting PRESIDENT was moving from the commissioning of one massive state projects to the other.
This is especially coming after the government had been much maligned by a slew of people, for embarking on projects that some had thought were either ''white elephant projects'' or were just air castles that were been built in thin air.

With the amiable acting President, a pastor at that and a lawyer, commissioning many of the projects, that would atleast quench any misconstrued thoughts about some of these projects, that had existed before.
The Acting President was received at the Margaret Ekpo Airport, Calabar by the Governor of the State and his executives, before visiting the palace of the paramount monarch in the state, in the person of the Obong of Calabar, His eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V.
The Acting President later commended the Governor, Professor Ben Ayade in his address, for a job well done, especially in his service to the people.
Professor Ben Ayade on his part, while welcoming the acting President, spoke about his dream for Cross Rivers State, which is to make the state "a destination for investments in Africa".
Some of those projects commissioned by Professor Yemi Osinbajo, were the Cross Rivers Garment Factory with an employment capacity for 3000 at a go, the Calabar Monorail, the first of its kind in Nigeria and West Africa and the Calabar International Convention Centre, just to mention a few.
One of the special guests at the commissioning was none other than the former first lady, Mrs. Onari Duke.
From all indications, it was a successful visit.
