SUSPECTED PORT-HARCOURT SERIAL KILLER FINALLY NABBED!

After a killing spree said to have consumed at least 15 ladies in various hotels in the oil rich Port Harcourt, Rivers State over a period of time, the long arm of the law has finally nabbed the perpetrator of the evil spree and he is none other than a self confessed former militant from Buguma LGA and a cult guy from the Degbam cult group by name Gracious David West.

The dude whose capture was aided by a CCTV recording at one of the locations of his last killing, where he had stylish escaped after committing the dastardly act was caught along East-West Road en route Uyo from PH. The video that saw him and the lady entering the hotel and him leaving much later after committing the murder had gotten loads of shares and had gone viral which aided the search for him. Though many had abused those who released the video earlier to high heavens, as they thought it would have alert the culprit to flee, so that it would be very difficult for him to be caught as he would have gone totally underground.

Now that he had been caught, maybe they would now heave a sigh of relief. The dude already in police custody, is being interrogated and from all accounts, he is already singing like a canary. The police would quickly want to find out from him, the remote cause of why he would have engaged in the terrible acts.

Like we already made mention at the beginning of the story, the suspect who is only 26, snuffed out the lives of at least 15 ladies, he had lured to various hotels, before taking their lives.

The Rivers state Police Command needs to be commended for the swiftness of their action in arresting the suspected murderer!

The above comment was tweeted by Mr. Aye Dee on October 6^th, two days after his twitter page came into existence (October 4^th).

For the media publishing that the problem is Linda not giving him credit; you are wrong. Perhaps she has in the past been attacked for not giving credit, but not so in this case, at least according to the man at the helm of it. He wanted more from Linda. He wanted her to ask him first before using anything on his TL (Time Line). He can sue me now for posting this comment he made. Yes; that’s what he goes after.

BUILDING COLLAPSE AT THE SYNAGOGUE- TB JOSHUA ALLEGES TERRORISTS ATTACK

In the aftermath of the deaths and injuries caused by the collapse of the 6 storey building at the Synagogue Church of all Nations, the church head in the person of Prophet T B Joshua who is still smarting from the occasion of the sad loss of lives said to have now reached 40 plus, while more than 130 people said to have been trapped in the collapsed building were rescued, has now alleged foul play.

According to the report, the prophet is of the opinion that the dastardly terrible Boko Haram terrorist group, might have had a hand in the terrible accident. According to the report, the prophet is said to have told his congregation that the attack was aimed at him not the people. He is said to have gone on to encourage the congregation not to fear.

He premised his belief on the old confession by an alleged Boko Haram member who had revealed, how he had attempted to plant a bomb inside the church building sometime ago.

The reason for the terrible act and some other acts like the Ebola scare he is said to have addressed those who were listening, is so that his congregations can be scared away.  That the reason his church is been targeted is because of the spiritual blessings God has bestowed on the church. A big head wears a large hat.

He now went on further to assure his people that God would soon bring the perpetrators of the evil act to book, that the decision of the group to focus on his church might be the beginning of their end and their activities in Nigeria.

Just one question that one would have loved to ask the great prophet would have been- ''Sir, as a seer of great repute, who God reveals many upcoming events to long before they occur, how come you didn't have any inkling or foreknowledge that something so terrible was about to happen in your domain? Especially so as to have avoided the terrible loss of innocent lives!!!

I’m giving the following statement as fact in the unfortunate death of my son. Oluwadamilola Oloruntoba Falode, who was a student of SAE Institute, Dubai in the UAE admitted to study Audio Production in October, 2013 and resided on the 17th floor of Manchester Towers, Dubai Marina.

In the early hours of the 15th of February, 2014, I received a call from the security guard at my son’s apartment block informing me that something serious had just happened to my son, Toba. I then immediately called his close friend, Nick Allison, a South African, who then informed me that my Toba had passed on from falling from the balcony of his 17th floor apartment.

We can bet on it that they never ever thought in the their wildest dream, that it would end this way. Imagine an 'Honourable Ambassador', His Excellency Essohanam Adewui, who represents his Country Togo in Gabon plunging into the Libreville sea and dying with his girlfriend in tow!!!

Shocking!! That's actually what happened. Some would say nemesis or karma or whatever it is might have caught up with the 2 lovers. Apparently, the 2 were said to have gone to the night club for a helluva time together, and on coming back from the night of fun, the married Ambassador & girlfriend apparently drove into the sea. 

A communique from the dead ambassador's country after his untimely death read as follows- 

"the Ambassador of Togo to Gabon was found this morning drowned in his car with his girlfriend... the Department, on behalf of the head of State and Government, presents its sincere condolences to the bereaved family and reassures them that all arrangements will be made to know the exact circumstances of the death of the diplomat and repatriate the body to Lomé as soon as possible".

The annual WIE Africa Conference 2014 took place to a loud ovation in the very vibrant city of Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Kofo Abayomi Drive, Victoria Island, Lagos.


On the date stated above, women leaders from across the globe gathered at the venue in Lagos to empower and inspire the next generations of leaders. WIE means Women: Inspiration & Enterprise. This year's conference was hosted by the Dee Poku, who is the founder of the organization and she was joined as co-hostess by the former first lady of Kwara State, the gorgeously elegant philanthropist, Her Excellency Mrs. Toyin Saraki, who is the the founder-president of the Well-Being Foundation Africa, the ex-first lady we hear was the symposium sponsor. She co-hosted the very successful symposium with the likes of renowned designer Folake Folarin-Coker, talk show host & top media personality Mo Abudu, who is the founder & MD/CEO of EbonyLife TV, also there as a co-hostess was media personality Julie Giuchuru. 

The theme of this year's discuss was ''Bridging the Gap- The Global Leader''. The idea behind those chosen to host the conference from media to entrepreneurship, fashion to finance was so as to inspire a whole gamut of the next generation of women leaders in those areas of endeavours towards leadership. The idea is to help inspire the future women leaders towards taking very central roles in the shaping of the Africa of the future. The aim also is to help change the negative perceptions of Africa in general, by presenting highly successful African women & innovations.

The headliner for this year's conference was none other than the richest black woman on the face of the universe, the gorgeous & very industrious Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, who is the MD of Famfa Oil & Gas; she shared with the participants her very inspirational life experience to a very captive audience.

The founder-president of the Well-Being Foundation Africa, Mrs. Toyin Saraki, moderated the Nike Foundation 'Girl Effect' panel, which was titled 'Our Future: This is the Moment to invest in Girls. In her welcome address to the participants of the WIE Africa symposium 2014, Mrs. Saraki stated that ''women and girls “play a great role in today’s global economy; and in order to make an impact in [their] spheres of influence, professions, vocations and passions, all women should be fulfilled, empowered and achievement-driven.” 

To address the marginalization of adolescent girls, who are key change agents in society, the Nike Foundation’s ‘Girl Effect’ initiative continues to promote the Girl Declaration, which is fully supported by the Wellbeing Foundation Africa. The Foundation has long challenged practices that hinder the prosperity of the girl child, such as child marriage and domestic violence, while promoting behaviours that ensure their progress, such as girl education.

Stimulating a loud applause from the delegates, Miss Salamatu 17, said “A real woman is a woman who seeks to empower others and is a role model to other women” while Miss Aisha, 19, articulated the best of the Symposium’s goal; When she said "I am here to be the voice of the girls who cannot be here."

After the whole world has gotten up to show support for the Chibok 200 plus said to be missing after their abduction from their school, a former Niger Delta Militant warlord Asari Mujahid Dokubo known for his unflinching & vociferous support for President Goodluck Ebele Azikwe Jonathan has come out to tell the world without mincing words that all our protest and anger is based on a farce or should we say a ''SCAM''. 

Can anyone just believe that? Can it be true? Is someone or a group of person or an organisation or a party or whatever, whomsoever trying to take the nation, the world for a ride? 

What evidence(s) does Asari Dokubo have, to make such proclamations? Can someone please just come out to tell us the truth, THE WHOLE TRUTH and nothing but the truth?

POPULAR CHURCH'S 4.8 BILLION DEVELOPS WINGS & DISAPPEARS. EVERYONE ORDERED TO KEEP QUIET!!!

How the fraud worth a colossal 4.8 Billion Naira was successfully executed is still baffling. Especially considering the amount involved and also because of the church involved, everyone has been ordered or instructed to keep mum. The aftermath of it was a curse placed on all Pastors in the fold who steals or defraud.

The actual act involved 4 Pastors of the very popular church and a bank manager of a very popular ''new generation bank'', where the MD was recently promoted.

Apparently the 4 pastors were able to come across the sort code and other information about the church accounts, and through their knowledge and the connivance of a willing bank manager were able to perpetrate their dastardly act successfully to the tune of 4.8 Billion Naira.

After the act had been committed and the colossal amount discovered, 3 out of the Pastors involved developed wings on their feet and absconded, while only one was caught and also the bank manager involved. Upon interrogation the bank manager not in any way remorseful at all, and not flinching only claimed to have done his job, because apparently the pastors were able to convince him using the recorded voice of the church overseer to give instructions to make payments (initiate transfers).

So because of the way and manner the act was committed, and also because of the ease involved in how the fraud was committed and the colossal amount involved, the church head had to give strict instructions that the matter be kept hush-hush.

WHAT'S THE TRUTH ABOUT BOLAJI ESHO'S PRESENT DILEMMA?

For many that might not know him, Bolaji Esho is the boss of Eldorado and a well recognized socialite based in Lagos, who at a point in time when all was going on well for him was a free spender, known to many of the praise singing musicians who couldn't stop praising his name to high heavens. But like the good saying goes ''What goes up, must surely come down'' it's like the bubble has bust now and things are not as rosy as they used to be sometime back. Especially in the days of Eldorado at the Elegushi Beach, at the height of the Malaysian boys when money was flowing like a waterfall and those boys were looking for entertainment and where to spend it. We heard one of the best places to go to then was Eldorado because of the unbridled fun they used to provide. 

Now it's like Bolaji Esho is leaving on past glory. There are 2 major dilemmas our glorified socialite is said to be facing right now; Firstly allegation of fraud against him amounting to about N48 million. He was said to have been picked up by the SIB unit of the Police about a fortnight ago to come explain his involvement in the alleged scam. Apparently a Malaysia based business associate of Bolaji by name Samson Ajani, alleged that he had given Bolaji Esho N48 Million Naira to help build a farm in Epe since 2012, but as at 2014 which is 2 years after, only a fence is what is available on the so called farmland. Apparently wanting Bolaji to give him back the bulk of the millions not used has become a major problem. The way we see it, it might be very hard for this money to ever be recovered. After his arrest and him giving his statement, stating his own part of the story, we hear that was released on bail and the case would be coming up in the law court sometime soon.

While grappling with the first dilemma above, which we hear he is doing all his best to sweep under the carpet or make disappear, another problem is said to have cropped up. This second dilemma has to do with the birth of what is supposed to be his 2nd born, his first born were a set of twins.

A STATE GOVERNOR'S BIRTHDAY PARTY OF UNBRIDLED FUN

To some being in a position of authority and influence only allows them to showcase the many hidden talents they have inside, forget the fact that when you see many of these people they pretend to be the epitome of all that's great, good and holy, while underground their heart is filled with debauchery, wantonness and everything that has to do with vice (impurity).

Just imagine this scenario, very recently a State Chief Executive added a year, good abi? Yes nothing wrong with that whatsoever. Why shouldn't one celebrate the grace of life? We most definitely do not have no problems whatsoever with that. To mark the day and date, a very exclusive party was organized for our State Oga. When Oga arrived at the party with his handpicked guests, as was expected nubile young damsels had been imported & arranged by the aides for their boss and his friends in bus loads and the partying began in earnest. 

So cool and high class was the party, that many of those around not needed or of any use at the occasion were first sent away, leaving just a few and then the lights were turned off, because like they said ''the big boys wanted to have fun'' and they didn't want prying eyes to see what they shouldn't see. The boss and his chosen one, a gorgeous young damsel, young enough to be his daughter started crooning love to each other, while having unbridled fun of all kinds.

Access Bank Grows Deposit to N1.33 Trillion for 2013

One of Africa’s largest banking groups, Access Bank Plc, has announced its audited result for the financial year ended December, 2013. An analysis of the results released on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange today validated the Bank’s capacity for sustainable growth.  

The results showed an increase in the Bank’s deposit base from N1.201 trillion N1.33 trillion, an 11% growth over last year’s figure while its loan book rose impressively by 33%, from N609bn in 2012 to N810bn in 2013, demonstrating the Bank’s resolve to empowering critical sectors of the economy. The performance for the financial year under review is strong testament to Access Bank’s positioning as one of Nigeria’s Tier 1 Banks. 

A glance through the numbers also revealed that the Bank’s earnings grew to N206.7bn from N206.4bn in 2012. Similarly, the Bank recorded an improvement in its cost of funds from 4.5% to 4.6% while Non-Performing Loans (NPL) ratio decreased to 2.7% from 5.0% which is owed to the Bank’s enhanced risk management framework. 

Also, the Bank posted a Profit Before Tax (BPT) of N44.9bn which is a 3.4% decrease compared to the N46.bn recorded for the corresponding period in 2012. This is however attributable to regulatory changes in the operating environment, some of which include raising of the cash reserve requirements (CRR) on public sector deposits to 50% from 12%, reduction and removal of a number of fee income lines such as ATM and CoT charges as well as the increase in AMCON levy from 0.3% to 0.5%  amongst others.

The appointed day for the full traditional wedding is today, Saturday, April 5, 2014. The venue being the expansive country home of the President in his hometown Otuoke, in Bayelsa State. Occasion is the traditional wedding ceremony between the daughter of the President, Faith Elizabeth Sakwe and her heartthrob Godswill Osim Edward from Cross River State. The couple we hear met while in school. Faith is a lawyer.

The traditional marriage journey began last night Friday, April 4, 2014 at about 7pm, with the payment of bride price and exchange of gifts between the 2 families, it's part of the rites that must be observed. Though, it wasn't the main event itself, in attendance were the family members on both sides and a sprinkling of friends, the likes of Hajia Bola Shagaya, Senator Ben Obi, Ifeanyi Uba, Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa, Governor Liyel Imoke, some 1st ladies and many more.

The ceremony we heard started at about 7.30pm when the President and his beloved wife-Patience arrived at the venue of the event, which was a beautifully decorated marquee that had been erected in the President's compound. And things began in earnest. The groom's entourage from Cross Rivers State we heard was led by the Governor of his state Governor Liyel Imoke. As expected there was exchange of pleasantries between both families. The Edward's entourage was asked what their mission was and they stated it was about a beautiful flower in the Goodluck's vineyard that they had come to enquire about. Whom their son would love to have as wife forever. 

From the initial intro to the fun haggling on the bride price, which started from 1 million and was finally pegged and agreed to at N50,000. Thereafter the agreement, the groom and family then went on to present many gifts to the bride's family and community. 

The day's event was rounded off with the President speech inviting all and sundry to come back the next day (today) from 12 noon to finish what had begun the night before. And also so they the groom's family could come take away their wife, as it was too late on Friday for her to be released to them.

SAD SAD LOSS FOR VIVIENNE CHIOLOJI ON THE LOSS OF HER SISTER

 It was a sad one at the weekend, when top socialite Vivian Chioloji of Pride & Joy loss her gorgeous younger sister to death. The super gorgeous Jennifer Chioloji, who everyone had thought had recovered from her battle with diabetes was at a party in Nkwerre, Imo State where as usual she was looking super cool and stylish, only for her to have gotten up from her table and suddenly started bleeding from her nose & mouth and has she was been rushed to the hospital in a stand-by ambulance stationed at the event gave up the ghost.

Jennifer who is so very well loved by all was in her early 40s when she gave up the ghost. She's the only sibling of the equally very stylish elder sister Vivian who owns the top lifestyle place Pride & Joy in Lekki, Lagos. Many of those that were at the well attended and well organized final burial rites of the father of their friend, where the sad occurrence happened, were shocked to their bones and are said to still be in shock in state of utter disbelief. It all happened so lighting fast and before help could come her way she was gone.

According to what we hear, she would be buried next weekend in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She's survived by her only sister Vivian. May her very gentle soul rest in peace.

Contrary to the gist that had gone round the social media and that many had believed hook, line and sinker, the Executive Chairman of the Lagos Internal Revenue Service, in the person of Mr. Babatunde Fowler still remains the Chairman and boss of the parastatal. He was not sacked by the Lagos State Government and he has not resigned to follow up on a quest to rule Lagos as it's been speculated. 


Even a full page paid announcement in the Punch Newspaper of Wednesday, March 26, 2014was released to debunk the growing rumour.

The joyful elation that pervaded the atmosphere of the household of serial entrepreneur & stylist/designer Toyin Lawani since the last night of 2013 entering into the new year 2014 has not subsided thanks to the birth of the new year baby, a bouncing baby boy that heralded the new year 2014. 

For Toyin Lawani, that was the crowning glory for a great 2013, which saw an increase on all frontier of her business endeavors. 2013 saw to it that Toyin Lawani became a household name more for her business exploits than anything else, and to finish the year and begin the new one, the creator gave her more joy than she could have wanted for herself; the safe birth of her baby boy.


It's has been a few days now since the birth of the bundle of joy and just yesterday, the baby dedication took place and the bundle of joy that has brought in joy unspeakable was named- Oluwatenola Jermaine Kensington Junior. 

Congratulations to the baby's parent- Toyin & Kess.

Now we await the opening of Toyin's humongous business headquarters located at Lekki 1 on the Island. 

THISDAY AWARDS 2013 IS FOR VALENTINE DAY

This year's edition of the ThisDay Awards an annual ritual from the stable of the publishers of ThisDay is set for this Thursday, February 14, 2013. Incidentally that's St. Valentine's Day. Or like many like to tag it ''Lovers Day'' as if all other days are not good for love. 

For the first time in a long while, there's not very much buzz around this particular one, we do not understand why. Unlike in the past when the media is agog with news about the upcoming award, there seem to be a perplexed feel about this 2013 edition. 

We hear the award is back to Lagos and the venue for the Thursday's event is Eko Hotel. This year's award is celebrating to high heavens, those wonderful people we have all neglected- Teachers & Educationists.  We had tried as much as we could to refrain from writing about this issue, but we just couldn't hold ourselves in check anymore. So in order not to bust from pent up rage, it was better to release the tension and just pour out our mind in a mild manner. At least we haven't out of anger gone to make a bomb, to maim & kill just so to get attention and saying we are fighting for our right. Our own bombshell is to say our mind, whether anyone is listening or not, no matter whose ox is gored.

HELLO FIRST LADY! How's Germany treating you?

HOTEL NASSAUER HOF, WIESBADEN

It's not something new that our first lady left the shores of Nigeria very recently, either she left by herself or was airlifted: Leaving Nigeria is leaving Nigeria.  What we know basically,  is that she's presently in Germany where she's gone for a medical checkup, for an ailment we Nigerians don't have a right to know about and that's because (it's on the need to know basis). Truth is, if we know what it is that she's gone to treat, what can we do about it.  What is very obvious majorly is that,  no Nigerian hospital could have treated madam first lady, especially as they lack the equipments for proper diagnosis and by extension even the doctors in the country would not have done a good job (at least by madam's standards). 

We just came about the address of where the first lady is staying at in Germany this morning. Her Excellency, the 1st lady of Nigeria is lodged at Hotel Nassauer Hof Wiesbaden, Germany.  It's a 5-star luxury hotel in Central Wiesbaden, it has been in existent for all of 194 years now, was built in 1819 and was remodelled in 2003. It has a Michelin star restaurant and great spa facilities. The hotel has 169 rooms and 30 suites and it's just 30 minutes from Frankfurt Rhein Airport. The hotel is a member of ''the leading hotels of the world''. Hotel Nassauer Hof Wiesbaden is referred to as the true gem of German luxury hotel. 

That's where our first lady is having her much deserved rest and we think from where she would either connect with her doctors or where they the doctors would be visiting to check her up.  We don't know where people got the unconfirmed gist about the first lady having undergone an operation to remove fibroid. People must desist from unfounded speculations,  until we all hear from the first lady's media aides, it is still just a check up.
