The past year and a half has been absolutely fantastic for the gorgeous actress, its been awards & recognition galore for her all across the globe, to the extent that she has come to represent the face of Nollywood-reputed to be the 2nd fastest growing film industry in the whole world, with the more recognized Hollywood even in 3rd place behind Nollywood-for those who don't know Nollywood represents the still growing Nigerian film industry. Not too long ago, the fantastic thespian was recognized by none other than a world figure in the person of Oprah Winfrey-as one of the most famous people in the world, just this May,2011 in  Monaco,France she was recognized for her exceptional talent for her role in the film-Mirror Boy-winning the ''Best Breakthrough Award'' at the annual Monaco Charity Film Festival, the latest in the series of recognition is coming from the home turf- Genevieve Nnaji would be on the cover of TELL Magazine's new issue that would be hitting the newsstands from July 27,2011, a first by any entertainer in the whole of Nigeria, another trail-blazing feat by the 32 year old actress.

After what was considered a vigorous process, a new Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2011 emerged last night out of the 34 ladies that competed for the crown, and its none other than Miss Taraba-Slyvia Nduka, an accountancy undergraduate from University of Lagos, who is from Anambra State, she also won the best traditional outfit prize. Apart from winning the crown, she also got  a cash prize of  #3million Naira and also an Hyundai car. Performer extraordinaire-Rihanna & one of top the musicians of the moment, had an unfortunate fall on Wednesday  June 22,2011, while performing at her ongoing concert in Edmonton,Canada. After doing one of her famous waist dance move, and wanting to move from one side of the stage to the other, she tripped over her boot and fell forward hard on her knees and hands, though the fall was in split seconds it was noticed by those at the concert, but like a true trooper that she is, she quickly got up, waved her hands and continued her dance routine.

Friends and family members all gathered together lastnight to celebrate a very fantastic lady who only days past hit the big 40. The venue was the brand spanking new Radisson Blu Hotel on Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island,Lagos and the spot chosen had a beautiful look of the lagoon as a backdrop, so the natural scenery was more than enough already, but event lighting experts-Open Hands added a bit more class and chic to the place. Patrick Koshoni Jr. the handsome husband of the celebrant was a perfect host, seeing to it that all went well and everyone was well taken care of, very good friend of the celebrant Cleopatra Anunobi was also around making sure all went very well, many friends of the couple came to celebrate with them and all had fun, there was enough of Champagne & other liquor to go round.
