HOW COME THIS ADMINISTRATION WAS ABLE TO STIFLE MR. JIDE OMOKORE'S GLOW?

Someone should please sound the alarm! Someone should please go to the mountain top to shout it out. Who can one report this present Government to? How could they have stopped the shine of a man who was like the virgin bride everyone wanted to court then? What kind of a kill joy are you??

During the days of the Goodluck Jonathan administration, the name Jide Omokore, the Kogi billionaire was a virtual door opener anywhere.. This billionaire rode the waves admiration like a colossus. Not many wealthy men were in his category or class as he was in a Liga all by himself. His legend preceded him. And it wasn't just in Nigeria alone then. The UAE, the USA & other countries of the world took notice and ate from his palm. He and his super close friend, the other stupendously wealthy dude by name Kola ALUKO, the only blackman to have owned a 100M rated luxury yatch, were unmatchable then. These 2 controlled private jets like it was a bus to carry people around from place to place. Even those who had made billions before them, couldn't match these duo's razzmatazz and effect. In fact many of the wealthy then, took back seats and were watching the new blockbuster epic that was rolling then. These 2 new kids on the block were the ones reigning, so all others had to take notice & learn by example. The duo knew the color of money inside out very well. They had enslaved & lassoed money into submission and they knew its secrets and how to send it on errands. Money in all its grace, glory and height, knew who was its boss. The kind of gifts that Mr. Omokore gave out then to those around him were staggering to say the least. That particular legend we cannot just talk about. We used to know a lawyer that worked for him, whose favorite car amongst several other super cars he owns, was a Rolls Royce, a stunning blue one in fact. This person's home inside Nicon Estate then was a statement in class and distinction.

At the height of Mr. Omokore's reign then, before this crazy time of forced quietude, his SPOG Petrochemicals, one of the companies under his control was a major beehive of activities. It was one of the major companies then that people wanted to be identified with. That same brand like its boss has gone deathly quiet too, unlike how it used to be.

We would never ever forget how for a few days, years back, Mr. Omokore literally nearly took over Dubai. That oil rich Emirate that is a tourist haven felt the power of the Nigerian billionaire in an awesome way, when his 1st son married the daughter of the man then in charge of one of the richest government parastatals. The number of private jets that ferried people to and fro Dubai for that wedding of the season was unprecedented. Dubai knew some major African heavyweights landed in town  that week. The number of ministers or better still Government officials, plus royal fathers and other guests that attended was unbelievable. The gifts that those privileged to attend got were unmatchable till date.

But just as suddenly like a bolt out of the blues that he emerged on the scene and razzled-dazzled all comers, this man of immense means just also so suddenly receded into his anonymous cocoon. Is it that he is not as fiendishly wealthy as he used to be again? How could this Government have so stifled a super generous billionaire like Uncle Jide? Why hound the gentleman into a cave like he is comatose? In fact, what is wrong with this administration? 

THE LEGEND OF THE GODFATHER REVISITED

We all know who this platform normally refers to as the godfather. This extraordinary, the Kogi born deep pocket was one personality that showed all other rich and famous in the country what wealth or better still a colossal amount of money in the hands of an enjoyable fellow could do.

Many ladies, for he had his spec, enjoyed his great largesse and favour and became millionaires in their own right for it. The testaments to his goodwill liters here and there and they are not consigned to the African continent alone.

Legend had it then, that when the going was still extremely good (though still okay), that was before this particular so called "wizard-hunting" government came into power to start scrutinizing and investigating everything, whenever the godfather moves, he moved then with several bales of cash in hard currency- Pounds, Dollars, Euros in bags and with intimidating security personnel to guard him. Shuttling in any of the several private jets available to him across the continents. When the elements were still gathered in support of the godfather, to mention Naira then in his company, was like showing your status.

When the godfather enters a store, a lounge, an hotel or just about anywhere, it was like Christmas day had come earlier than it should and the whiff of raw cash makes everyone go gaga turning them to potty in his hands.

To buttress our point more effectively, the godfather was in America at a point and met that very famous stunning lady, that is a major feature in that reality television series in America, with the awesome body. He found out upon introduction that, apart from appearances on the series, she was also into event management to augment her earnings. So they exchanged contacts.

THE POWERFUL EFFECT OF THE GRANDMASTER'S STUPENDOUS WEALTH

Many are called, but only very few are chosen. There are so many unbelievably focused and hardworking people in the world, who if their sweat can be calculated in terms of wealth or riches, they would be stupendously rich. We are too sure that if he would reveal is wealth and investment portfolio in full to the likes of Forbes and co, he might be rated first 5 in Nigeria and by extension in Africa. 

Some people are rich ooooo and our grandmaster is most definitely one of those in the class, imagine your houseboy stealing a whopping $400,000 USD from you and it has no effect whatsoever, it was like losing N1000. This happened earlier this year oooo and we are just only in the 3rd month, and by the time the houseboy was caught he had nearly finished everything on cars and fun. Like some people love to say, ''Na where person dey work, na him he go chop naa''. What's 66 million Naira to someone that owns not less than 4 private jets. 

That's not all oooo, imagine spending just £1,000,000 Pound Sterling on just 2 wrist watches, that's about N270,000,000 on wrist watches alone and just 2 of them. Some would say that's small now when 2 other like our man, a man and a lady have spent about $1.2 million on just one watch each before. And all this people are Nigerians. 

Same grandmaster not too long ago, ordered for a one of its kind Rolls Royce Ghost, that would have caused a healthy damage to another person's account, but because of his stupendous wealth it was like a drop in the ocean for him. The 'Ghost' was air-freighted into the country and you should know how much that would be for. A standard Rolls Royce Ghost starts from about £170, 250 Pounds, an exclusive one with all the works(bullet proof) and more would go for double that amount or even more .
