CITIZENS ALERT. IT'S THE YULETIDE SEASON BE CAREFUL AND VERY SECURITY CONSCIOUS!

ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE NIGERIA POLICE

We have received several reports of violent attacks by hoodlums along the Marina/Apongbon axis. During these attacks, the hoodlums vandalize vehicles, steal valuables and in some cases injure victims who resist their attack. Some of our colleagues have fallen victim of these attacks; known to occur in the early hours of the day [between6 a.m. and 8 a.m.] and late in the evening [between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.].

In a bid to address this growing concern [which is likely going to get worse with the Yuletide approaching], the Bank is collaborating with the Lagos State Security Trust Fund to deploy the Police Rapid Response Squad [RRS] to the identified spots. The RRS team will conduct regular patrols and pin-down around the identified spots - Apongbon and Marina axis. These measures are expected to deter the hoodlums from carrying out their dastardly acts while those who dare to attack would be apprehended.

You too have a role to play to avoid being a victim of these attacks. Read through and observe the following precautionary measures:

●  Keep all valuable items such as mobile phones, laptops, wallets, jewellery, etc. out of sight of pedestrians.

●  Keep all the doors of your car locked and the windows wound up. If you require fresh air, do not wind your window down more than two inches.

●   Always be vigilant to observe unusual happenings around you.

●  There is strength in numbers. If possible, do not drive or walk alone at night or early in the morning.

●   When driving, leave enough space between your vehicle and the one in front - you never know when you might need to make a quick getaway.

●   If someone knocks on your window, do not slide it down or open your door. If a criminal threatens you through the window, start honking the horn to attract attention. Many criminals leave immediately for fear of being caught. Should this fail, remain calm and wind your window down as demanded.

●   If attacked, gently hit the vehicle in front to alert others – they are likely to come out of their car to access the damage; this should chase the hoodlums away.

●   If a robber asks you to hand over your wallet and cell phone, do so without resistance.

●  Try to carry an old [discarded] cell phone in your car. Give this to the criminal(s) rather than your active mobile phone. Make sure to keep your cell phone in silent mode in the car under your seat. Criminals do not bother to check the condition of the cell phone as they are often in a hurry.

Kindly call these toll free telephone numbers 122 and 767 in case of emergency. Your safety is important to us.

Thank you.

...DEAR SOUNDCITY, TRACE & MTV BASE- CAUTION!!!

We came across this message broadcast purportedly by Emma Ugolee and thought it was important enough notice that was worth posting. Apart from this particular notice which is below. We have also been wondering if there was a body or an organization that checks the age of some of those video vixen that we see in some of those music videos doing some of the most outrageously sexy dances we get to see most often. We totally understand that yes you could put a restriction on what the kids can watch, but when underage kids (less than 18 years old) are allowed to do some extraordinarily vulgar & supposedly sexy things, is that not terrible?
Back to the notice that had gotten our attention. Read it below!

Dear sound city, Trace and MTV Base, Until the majority of the Nigerian populace agree to adopting the gay lifestyle as a norm, please stop showing music videos that graphically celebrate it. Please not all of us want to be associated with or are tolerant of this movement. Not all of us want to be seen as open minded or cool in you definition of it. And a lot of us definitely have a problem with young minds assimilating this teaching. A picture is still worth a thousand words. Take your kids to gay conferences if you wish but 6pm is still within children's TV time belt for heavens sake.

Stop now the show of Avicci's "Addicted to you". Somebody write to NBC.

Thank you Emma Ugolee RBC if this bothers you.

BUYER BEWARE!!! HUSBANDS BEWARE OF RACKET!!!

It's not a new thing, it's system that's been used for quite a while now, always repackaged to fit the times and greedy men, who seemingly have no discipline whatsoever & are always falling for it. Remember Mama Dolphin on Kosofe.

What are we on about? It none other than what many have termed ''Racket''. How does this work? Not in any special way, once the 'greedy married man' (There so many of the men, who loves to eat their cake and have it) falls for the shenanigans of the 'single lady' and they start their relationship, the idea is to make sure that the man does his ''deeds' without due 'protection'- RACKET. Once that mistake is made the man most often is in soup from then on.

It's the case of blackmail from then on, the richer or more well to do the man is, the higher the stake. Great amount of money, cars & properties are some of the prices that would paid for the fun indiscretions.

How does this go? After a while, the lady comes in to say she has taken in and is on the 9 months course, the fun loving man not wanting any complications pleads that he wants nothing to do with the baby, the smart girl knowing her hook has sunk in, turns the screw using subtle blackmail, if subtlety doesn't work easily, then the threats of exposure especially to the wife & public (social media) works in most cases.

The greedy, fun-loving man has to part with something(s) major, what that would be is dependent on what the lady want and it's never something little.
