OYO STATE'S FIRST LADY, FLORENCE AJIMOBI AND HER HUMONGOUS 59TH BIRTHDAY PRESENT

Senator Abiola AJIMOBI & Dr. Mrs Florence Ajimobi

Well equipped

So it was Mrs Florence Ajimobi's 59th birthday on Thursday, April 5, 2018 having being born on April 5, 1959 in Benin City, in the former Bendel State, but she grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State. And the "heartbeat" of the 2 term Governor (a record) of the pacesetter state, that's Oyo State for you, celebrated her reaching the new age with a flourish by donating a "multimillion Naira birthday present" to one of the oldest higher institutions in Oyo State, The Polytechnic Ibadan, which also is her Alma Mater.

Mrs Ajimobi read Secretarial Studies and Management at the school many years back, after leaving Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Ibadan, which she joined after finishing from Bodija International School, Ibadan.

The well received birthday present was none other than a well equipped "Information Technology Centre", tagged the "Florence Ajimobi Information Technology Building", fully built and well equipped by the Oyo state first lady, which must have set back the matriach of the AJIMOBI's clan account by several millions of good Naira.

To welcome the selfless lady to her 59th birthday and to show gratitude to God also at the same time, a thanksgiving service was also organised for her. At the thanksgiving event and also the handover of the building were her family members, who were all sumptuosly appreciative of the gift of life and good health.

Mrs Ajimobi is very well known by most who should know her, to be the strong support system for her husband and the family as a whole and is a strong good wind beneath the family'' sail too. So it was a good, but rather small gathering by the standards expected of the very influencial first lady, who prior to the building she donated to her former school had already donated cash and many other gifts to as many as 10 orphanages across Ibadan.

The very devoted Christian, whose husband that is the Governor, is a practising Moslem, has always been known for her generous heart and deep love for charity, a virtue she demostrated again at the occasion of this birthday.

More after the break.

GOVERNOR AMBODE ATTENDS EXPERIENCE CONCERT. COMMENDS CHURCH FOR DONATIONS TO SCHOOLS

...Tasks Leaders To Put Interest Of Nigerians First

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Friday evening graced the 2017 edition of The Experience Concert, held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, just as he commended organisers of the Concert, House on the Rock for its donation of ICT infrastructure to 100 schools in the State.

Governor Ambode, in his goodwill message, commended the idea of the Experience Concert, saying that in the last 12 years, it had continued to attract people from all walks of life, different faiths and socio-political persuasions, thereby dismantling the barriers of political affiliation, ethnic origin and doctrinal differences through an unhindered expression of faith through music and engendering a legacy of love, peace and unity.

He also lauded the founder and Presiding Pastor of the House On The Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin for its various humanitarian interventions and corporate social responsibilities in the State, saying that it was a testament to his leadership qualities.

“You have shown leadership and a spirit of excellence which has seen House On The Rock engage in several nation-building activities across the country, particularly in Lagos State. Your contributions to interreligious dialogue, empowerment of the youth, social reformation and health care continue to positively impact the citizens of this state and on behalf of the people of Lagos State, we thank you,” the Governor said.

He particularly commended the initiative embarked upon by House On The Rock, which has seen the furnishing of 100 secondary schools across Lagos State with modern, fully equipped, air conditioned, functional Computer Laboratories.

Governor Ambode in his remarks said the State was firmly on track to becoming a globally-competitive, dynamic and sustainable megacity, however stressing that it would require the cooperation and contribution of all and sundry for the State to realise its full potentials.

He said concerted effort would be required to sustain the developmental strides the State has recorded in the last 50 years and ensure that the future of the State is secured.

The Governor said: “Young and old, male and female, student and teacher, employer and employee. We must all rise to the challenge understanding that collectively, we can make this happen! We must be the change agents who will deliver a deliberately developed Lagos State to be bequeathed to future generations.”

Stressing that the interests of Nigeria could not be determined along religious, political, ethnic or social lines, Governor Ambode said that leaders in the country must rise to their responsibilities, put the nation first and determine what is just and equitable for all Nigerians.

“Men and women, whose voices influence the belief and value systems of our populace must begin to speak sincerely to one another to find common ground to build a prosperous nation and state; one that denies no man, woman, boy or girl the right to a peaceful and productive life. We all have a part to play to achieve this,” the Governor said.

On his part, Pastor Adefarasin, while presenting the handover certificate for the ICT infrastructure donated to the Lagos State education system by the Church to Governor Ambode, said he (Governor) has produced new levels of development in the State, just as he expressed optimism of future partnerships with the State Government.

“It gives me great pleasure to present this certificate to the chaplain of nation building, the action Governor in Nigeria, one who we are very proud to call our own. We are hopeful that we would do more partnership with your government to help bridge the divide to give more kids the opportunity to excel and be part of nation building,” Adefarasin said.

DADDY FREEZE AGAIN SLAMS PASTOR ADEBOYE! THIS TIME IT'S ABOUT THE ₦1BILLION NAIRA DONATION!

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye

Daddy Freeze

So there's a video already going viral where the General Overseer of the RCCG while ministering or preaching apparently asked for anyone who was willing to donate a billion Naira (₦1billion), and then any others who couldn't donate a billion, but some other huge amounts to see his Secretary. It wasn't announced though what the money was going to be for. In the said video, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye apparently said anyone who was willing to make the donation should see his secretary afterwards as there was a special announcement for such a person or persons.

Not one ready to let such a thing slide just like that, as he continues in his campaign, which aims to help free supposed gullible Christians from the clutches of their leaders who he believes have continually brainwashed, hoodwinked, impoverished and continuously sapped them without a care in the world, via his relentless campaign that has been tagged (#freethesheeple) which has since gained a massive momentum.

The unrelenting, enfant terrible of church leaders in Nigeria, who has become a serious torn in their flesh with his pronouncements, in the person of the now renowned OAP known as Daddy Freeze, as expected wasn't ready to allow the "man of God" to rest at all and he pounced on it, he responded thus

-"Eku ise Oluwa", which loosely translates to Well done on God's job or work!

-Billion Naira Gang.

-"Is the Special Announcement only for the Billionaires? Did Jesus separate believers according to their spending power"?

He then went on further to ask-

-"If I may ask where did all the billions, hundred million go to? Did it go into building free hospitals or free schools or factories where workers can work or was just swallowed by "Church expenses or was it geared towards building more churches, Something we already have much more than enough?

- "When Moses realized that there was more than enough offering to finish the temple, he instructed the Israelites to STOP bringing their offerings. Are we going to finish temple building or is this a perpetual process in Nigeria"?

-"I hope this billion Naira offering was shared equally among all the believers as practised by the disciples in Acts 4?- FRZ"

Then he went on to copiously quote from "Acts 4:32 to 35 and Exodus 36: 3 to 7"

MM's reaction- A billion Naira donation at this time of recession by just one person??? So if one doesn't have and must give at all cost, like some would do out of compulsion just to impress and wanting to be seen to be religious, then that person can do anything possible just to be seen to be a donor!

What's the major difference between a fraudster, 419, Yahoo yahoo boys who offer hope of a massive return from little investments and pastors who offer hope also so that one can be seen or said to be in right standings with God?

Let's even ask a question, "what happens to the tithes or offerings given by arm robbers, kidnappers, fraudsters, prostitutes etc?  Are these sorts of givings pure, holy and acceptable? One would have thought that those things brought to the temple must be without blemishes?

ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU DONATES TOWARDS THE BURIAL OF MOJI OLAIYA

The Inimitable Jagaban of Borgu, and ASIWAJU, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu extended his hands of magnanimity towards the committee in charge of the burial of ace actress Moji Olaiya, whose untimely demise happened only last week in Canada, just 2 Months after putting to bed with her 2nd child.

The very well loved thespian is said to have succumbed to the death via a heart related issue.

The ASIWAJU of Lagos, also sometimes referred to as the Olowo Eko, a title that is actually for the Paramount King in Lagos, Oba Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, put is money where his mouth his, with his donation.

Though an exact amount was not announced by the respected and revered politician and National leader of the APC, some other media outlet had claimed the donation might likely be to the tune of about $50000 dollars.

The donation is to be used to transport the corpse of the lovely actress and mother of 2 back to the country, for a befitting burial.

Unlike Governor Fayose whose every action is more of playing to the gallery, who has not donated a Kobo to the committee, Asiwaju has shown that he has the milk of human kindness in abundance and we commend him for his gesture.
