The hit maker, bugged by increasing complaints and reported incidents, says he's worried and beyond scandalized, that some bandits would go to any length to perpetrate evil acts and defraud innocent fans and customers.

BANKY W STAGES R&BW: THE GRAND LOVE CONCERT

Lagos, February 1, 2013: Ladies and gentlemen, Banky W is throwing another Lagos party. And this time, it’s for the release of his hugely anticipated genre-defining, industry-shaking album R&BW.

The singer, songwriter and businessman has spent the last few years grooming protégées like Wizkid, Skales and Niyola; running the EME label- currently unarguably Nigeria’s number one music powerhouse.

Now, W is all ready to present his new body of work to millions of fans around the world. And he’s setting it off with an intimate concert this Valentine.

EME has announced plans for the R&BW: “The Grand Love” Concert, saying, in a statement released this morning, that the concert will hold at The Civic Centre on Ozumba Mbadiwe in Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, February 15, 2013.

It’s just about two months after the massive Baddest Concert, featuring Banky and his label mates. The singer says he’s ready again, to treat fans to the kind of special performance they won’t get anywhere else.

And he’s joined by some of R&B's biggest names, including Wande Coal, Darey, Tiwa Savage, Bez, Blacky and Faze. Other star performers, according to EME, include Lynxxx, Sound Sultan, Iyanya, Praiz, Omawumi, Waje, J Martins, May D, Chidinma and many more to be announced.

Wizkid and Davido Give Special Performance on Stage!

The crowd was in a frenzy last night, Friday, December 21, 2012 as some of Nigeria’s biggest superstars thrilled fans at the first ever EME live-in-concert in Lagos tagged “The Baddest” which held at Oceanview Restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The grand opening of the unforgettable concert had Wizkid, EME’s First Lady, Niyola and EME crooner, Shaydee sing the Nigerian national anthem kicking off jaw dropping performances from EME all-stars.

Led by EME Boss and R&B wonder, Banky W, the EME crew drove the crowd wild as they performed hit tracks from the “Empire State of Mind” album as well as individual club bangers.

The crew went on to perform alongside other artistes like Cobhams, IcePrince, Wande Coal, D’Prince, Olu Maintain, Samklef, Waje and Iceberg Slim.

One of the many highlights of the epic concert was Wizkid and Davido’s performance. Both artistes came on stage and performed Davido’s monster track, “All of you” to a pulsating crowd who could not get enough of seeing the two artistes on the same stage.

Produced by R28, the event had some of the biggest names in the marketing, advertising and entertainment industry come out to support the EME all-stars.

International pop star Wizkid says his teeming fans are in for the big thrill this Friday, as he performs in Lagos with his label mates.

The bestselling, MOBO-winning hit-maker who’s had a great year winning laurels and inking big deals, says he’s been rehearsing for weeks, to make sure he delivers an unforgettable set.

The EME concert, tagged ‘The Baddest’, is produced by events company R28, and is the first in a set of big-budget international standard concerts to be promoted by R28 and EME.

Meanwhile, Banky W, who’s one of Nigeria’s most celebrated singers and performers, has said the Christmas concert organized by his label Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) and respected events company R28, is a special Christmas gift to Nigerians from both organizations.

W, who will headline the concert with his EME colleagues Wizkid, Skales, Niyola, Shaydee and others, with support from friends from here and abroad, says The Baddest concert is ‘the kind of gift no money can buy’.

Empire Mates Entertainment, Nigeria’s leading record label, has announced that they will round up activities for the year with a ground breaking live-in concert tagged “The Baddest”.

The concert which will hold on Friday, December 21, 2012 at The Grounds, Ocean View restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos will have the EME superstars led by R&B powerhouse, Banky W and internationally renowned pop star Wizkid thrilling music lovers with some of the greatest hits of 2012.  

Three months after concluding the enormously successful EME North American tour which held in 9 states across North America, EME is once again is set to give fans another unforgettable experience as they usher in the Christmas celebrations.

According to singer, songwriter and EME Chairman, Banky W “The Baddest” concert is a very special gift to our fans for all the support they have shown us throughout the year. What should you expect?   EVERYTHING! You don’t want to miss this… TRUST me… No really… Trust me!”

The label says The BADDEST concert will be the first in a series of specially-designed concerts headlined by Wizkid and Banky, with support from other EME acts and ‘friends of the house, including crowd pleasers selected from home and abroad.

The EME team comprises some of the most talented artistes in Nigeria ranging from internationally recognized stars like Wizkid, Banky W, and Skales to promising acts like Shaydee, Niyola and celebrity disc jockey, DJ Exclusive.

Empire Mates Entertainment has recorded numerous achievements this year including WizKid’s big win at the 2012 BET Award for Best International Act and also The Headies Awards as Artiste of the year.  Banky W scored a major feat as one of the few Nigerians selected to lift the Olympic torch in the UK. He was recently selected as a judge on the MTV Base VJ search competition.

WIZKID GETS BMW X6

The good times are definitely here for the Wiz-kid of the music industry. The star crooner who is signed on to Empire Mates Entertainment/Konvict Muzic very recently took delivery of a Black BMW X6, a mid-size luxury cross-over, described as the 1st Sports Activity Coupe of its kind adding to the cars in the young crooner's garage ( where there's already a convertible VW & a 2012 Hyundai Sonata car. 

The SUV according to what we hear is 2009 V8 edition. The 22 years old music star has been enjoying a fantastic few seasons since he busted out on the music scene about 3 years ago. The X6 is a good present for the successes of the past few months. The car is said to have set him back about 20 Million Naira.

NIYIOLA'S ''DON'T DELAY ME'' VIDEO SHOOT

Some of Nigeria's hottest acts came together on the video set of the track, "Dont Delay Me" by EME featuring sultry singer and new EME signee, Niyola.

EME chairman and R&B powerhouse, Banky W and the EME crew are not slowing down as this is the sixth video off the EME collaboration album, Empire State of Mind which was released in June, 2012.

Directed by the award winning Igho, the video was shot in the heart of Lagos and boasts of cameo appearances by the EME crew, Ladies man, Lynxxx and Rave of the moment, DammyKrane. 

The video is set for release later in the year and promises to leave fans wanting more.

EME DROPS 'BADDEST BOY' VIDEO- SET TO RELEASE 4 VIDEOS IN A MONTH

These guys are gradually becoming the hardest working crew in the music entertainment business in Nigeria. And with the way they are going they are giving everyone a run for their money. Week in, week out something fantastically delicious is cooked and served to their numerous fans.  One must really commend, EME's Chairman & Creative Director Banky W & Segun Demuren MD/CEO for steering the ship well and truth be told, most of the jams on the 'Empire Mates State of Mind Album really rocks, kudos to you guys. If things continue well like its already going now, Wizkid, Skales, Niyiola and company might soon run everyone out of the market.

So lets get back to the lecture at hand.

Three weeks after kicking off the first-ever EME US tour, the label has announced the release of the first video off the Empire Mates State of Mind Album.

The video, which premiered on Wednesday July 18, 2012, is for the hit song "Baddest Boy" featuring WizKid, Skales & Banky W.

Shot on location in Lagos, Nigeria, the video was directed by Clarence Peters, with cameo appearances by EME’s recent signees Niyola, ShayDee and DJ XClusive.

 “We are promising fans that for at least the next month, we would debut a new video every Wednesday. The move has been dubbed #EMEWednesdays on twitter, and E.M.E fans worldwide are loving it.”  Says Banky W, Chairman & Creative Director, EME records.

The label has also released teasers of the next set of videos to expect, “Dance for me” directed by Sesan and “Get down tonight” directed by Moe Musa.

Empire Mates Entertainment has bagged a lot of major achievements this year including WizKid’s big win at the 2012 BET Award for Best International Act. On July1, 2012, Banky W scored a major feat as one of the few Nigerians selected to lift the Olympic torch.
