THOUGH A LOT MORE QUIET NOW, ABISOLA KOLAPO DAISI NEE AJIMOBI STILL KILLING IT ON THE STYLE STAKE

Abisola Kolapo-Daisi is a known style maven. In fact she's one of those who helps to dictate style In Nigeria season in/season out, especially for her age range, that's talking about from the early 30s towards the mid 30s.

That she also has the funds (some would say by her privileged position) to support her love for high class fashion, also helps out a whole lot. Her position amongst some of the most stylish Nigerians around the world was confirmed very recently when she was nominated amongst some of the most badass, stylish fashionistas in Nigeria by BellaNaija, one of Nigeria's best online lifestyle platforms.

Though we didn't quite agree in totality with some of their choices, made up of some or better still many usual suspects, we were in total, in fact absolute agreement with the choice of 'Abisola Kolapo Daisi nee Ajimobi'.

Her style can be defined as quite quirky, very classic, a mixture of the timeless and the avant garde. She loves to play with the mix and she always seem to get it right all of the time & such only normally speaks of a person who has come into their own. Who knows and understands what fits them or gets them the best accolades, as against just wearing labels just for the sake of it. Which is what is prevalent nowadays. You see the so called celebs/stars packing on themselves fakes or better still glaring cheap copies of the originals, just so they can get attention at all cost, like their very existence depends on it. Her bags, shoes and jewelry collection are to die for! Especially the latter, that is, the jewelry collection. It's only when you are close to her though, that you would notice some of the awesome diamonds and rare stones that she adorns elegantly and effortlessly, like they are nothing.

That she sells strictly upscale shoes and bags helps to tell you that someone like her who owns a first class store that caters to those who can afford the very best & so would pay premium, lets you to understand why her collection would be bombastic too, to say the least.

Her Florence H Store, that has been around for a few years now and which is now fully at her own shopping complex, which she co-owns with a friend on Fola Osibo, at Lekki Phase 1 on the island, is the convergence point for those with great taste and that can afford luxury. The store is a beautiful one by all standards. In fact it is very well appointed by all standards too. You cannot enter and go away empty handed by not picking up one thing or the other. And when she's on sales (reduction), you get some of the best and most impossible bargains ever too there.

She went quiet and somewhat underground after her dad finished his tenure as the 1st, 2 termed Governor of Oyo State. He is the first in the history of the state to do 8 years. Though he wanted to go back to the Senate, it wasn't a popular decision at all as the populace didn't think it was a wise decision and therefore voted for another. Like we were saying, though Abisola who is married to one of the sons-Kolapo a banker of Chief Kola DAISI another Oyo state money bag. She's a mother of 3, but that hasn't stopped her at all from always appearing on the best dressed list regularly. She deliberately went under the radar for a short while, but she's now back with a bang doing what she loves the most, standing out fashionably and stylishly.

She was recently at the Fashion Week in Paris, France which is rated as the first amongst equals, doing her stuff elegantly, she in fact attended the 'House of Dior' Show with some of her other super stylish friends in tow. Seems that now that there's no need for her to be too careful as the scrutiny wouldn't be to scathing about her being the daughter of a Governor, spending state's funds, she's made up her mind to do her thing a whole lot now, having a first class ball, whenever, wherever.

Abisola Kolapo-Daisi is probably one of the most well known child of any of the present Governors in Nigeria. Her dad like we all know, is the outgoing Governor of the Pacesetter state-Oyo, that's talking about Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who in the wake of his loss at the Senatorial election has had much flak thrown his way of recent. But he has the singular honour so far, of being the only Governor of Oyo State since the creation of the state to have done 2 uninterrupted terms as a governor. Apart from the fact that Abisola is the Governor's daughter, which some might ascribe her fame to, she is also famous in her own right because she's a well respected fashionista of note. In fact many have even said she is most probably the most stylish of all the Nigerian Governors' kids, all put together.

Abiola is one well respected personality in the luxury lifestyle business in the country, where she owns a couple of very okay business concerns, one of them is her very upscale shoe store Florence H that caters only to the top fashionistas and very well to do with the HQ at her own shopping complex on famous Fola Osibo Street, Lekki Phase 1. On that same very bustling street, she also owns another very good business a super well stocked, supermarket that is frequented by the very upscale crowd too, known as Grandex! She is also the inspiration behind TLLM, The Luxury Lifestyle Market, an outstanding gathering of Luxury purveyors that comes together periodically. A sort of luxury pop up that can gather anywhere around the world.

The quite humble and somewhat quiet, Oyo's 1st daughter is a year older and as the avalanche of birthday well wishes poured in, with all pouring out love to her and expressing their warmth on her birthday, the impressed birthday gal, overwhelmed and appreciative of it all, poured out her heart in gratitude to all and sundry. Thanking her creator, for those who don't know, Abisola is quite religious or do we say spiritual, she's a Christian though her dad is a practising moslem; promising to be more open. We think Abisola Kolapo-Daisi operates only via a code or should we put properly via a particular, time honoured mantra, that "if you work hard, then you are allowed to play hard too", which very well connects to another time honoured saying that says "all work and no commensurate play, makes Jack, in this case Abisola a dull babe" and from all indications, Abisola ain't no slouch at all, neither is she dull in any way or manner.

So at every given opportunity or moment that she gets, she doesn't for any reason whatsoever, compromise on her well-being.

It's obvious that takes her vacation or relaxation time very very seriously. Ever ready at the drop of a hat to indulge in good dose of therapy to unwind and get the mind ready for another great business opportunity that comes her way.

Though her dad's reign as the Executive Governor of Oyo State, where he has blazed the trail is gradually winding down, emerging as the 1st Governor ever in the history of the state to win a 2nd term, something that was an "impossicant" before! Abisola has held us spellbound all through, with her style, gorgeousness and her entrepreneurial sass. For many who might think Abisola is just sitting pretty and just enjoying the largesse of being the daughter, the first child at that of a 2 term Governor of a state (maybe going back to the Senate after his reign), who incidentally before his ascendancy to the seat of Government, was also a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who before that itself, had risen to the pinnacle of his career at a well-known Oil and Gas firm, they might have to have a rethink. This is so because, Abisola is an extraordinary goal-getter and a very hardworking businesswoman, who is just very stylish and in your face too.

Apart from the fact that she owns one of Lagos most happening lifestyle store, stocking and selling some of the most sought after brands in female shoes. In fact, her well appointed store in Victoria Island by the name Florence-H located on Shehu Musa Y'Adua, can rival any of the top stores that does the same things abroad, either in Paris, London, New York, Monaco, Rome or Tokyo! We mean very well that when you are in the store, you are immediately transported like you are in one of those international stores abroad. That's not all, Abisola also owns a very well-planned, well-thought out, very well appointed, very well stocked supermarket, on 2 floors in a whole building on Fola Osibo Street, Lekki-Phase 1. You are too sure to get anything you desire for at this well-stocked supermarket. And It does not just end there, as she is also a part of her sister's (Bimbo) standard bakery too, though not much! But from all indications, she also owns her own very private event and lifestyle brand, that brand put together during the year her first ever luxury lifestyle market fair, which was an outstanding success! It still does not end there, as we heard that Bisola's brand handled her younger brother's out of this world's billion Naira wedding, which got everyone salivating and saluting for an impressive job well done. It was class and distinction all the way during the many days occasion. From Kano to Ibadan, it was topnotch and everything worked out perfectly, at least that supported the saying that "good soup na money kill am"! From all indications she must have made some cool money from handling that event alone, which had 2 Governors and their families uniting in holy matrimony!

And from information we could still gather, all the businesses we have mentioned are only the very public ones, we hear the quiet and quite shrewd businesswoman might still have a hand in some other quite interesting and money making pies too, that might not be known or thar are yet to be unveiled.

So know now, when you see Abisola lounging or luxuriating, or having some very exclusive fun me time, at some of those spots you dream of going to or when you see her decked top to toe, from her head to her heels in some of those outfits that makes you want to eat your heart out, know very well also that she's worked so hard for the money (singing in Donna Summers voice), so you had better treat her right and not speculate unnecessarily. What we know for certain is that Abisola is a fashionista and style maven to the core and maybe a bit restricted in fact by the fact that she's the daughter of a serving Governor. That fact alone might not have allowed her to soar like a free bird like she would have wanted. One thing we can tell you for free also is that her jewelry game is not for kids at all, although not for her the vulgar outlandish and in your face ones, that shouts at all to see and bow, but those who knows know the real real and the authentic McCoy.

To round it all up, believe it or not, Abisola is a serious, very prayerful Christian, following after her mom's faith as her dad is a practising Moslem.

The US based music star who was in the country over the weekend for her performance at the Love Like A Movie Season 2 concert, didn't just come and storm off like most of her other colleagues normally do. Most often after being paid some colossal amount to appear in the country, it's like they are in a hurry to run off back to their country. At least Kelly stayed some hours more after her show and even went round.

One of the places the gorgeous star, who apparently came in with her boo went to, is one of the top lifestyle stores in the country-Florence H. Incidentally, the store is owned by the fabulously beautiful Abisola Kolape-Kola Daisi, the 1st daughter of the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Senator Abiola Ajimobi. 

The singing sensation didn't leave the exquisitely beautiful store empty handed, she had a buying storm sort of from what we heard, picking up several shoes to her taste. Florence H is very well known in Lagos, Nigeria for stocking some of the best shoe brands from around the world, chief of which are Rene Caovila & Guiseppe Zanotti. 

The super luxury store caters to a very wide variety of tastes and from what we have heard, they have the very latest collection of the major brands in stock. One of the major things they are very well known for is their concierge shopping experience, where customers can source for items that are not readily available in store or even brands that the store does not stock, such as a limited edition or vintage handbag.

The store which is located at 32, Musa Yar'Adua Street, Victoria Island, Lagos has been a mecca of a sort for shoe cognoscente since they threw their doors open for customers. Truth be told, Abisola has really done well for herself with this store.

FLORENCE H SETS TO OPEN BY THE END OF MAY, 2012. MALIKA HAQQ IN TOWN TO HELP WITH HYPE

In case you all might have forgotten, Florence H is the new shoe store that's owned by Abisola Kola-Daisi nee Ajimobi, the first child and by extension the first daughter of the Oyo State Governor- Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

The new, first class shoe haven is located on the Island- Musa Yar' Adua, Victoria Island, it's just next to Carima De Laurent's Nail Place, in fact Carima is Abisola's Landlady and just above the store is Folake Folarin Coker's Tiffany Amber's Flagship. If all things works as planned, the new store should open to customers by the end of this month- May, a bird in the know whispered into our ears that the opening date is most likely any of the last days in May, but knowing Abisola very well, she might change the date again after this expose to try to throw us off.

One major thing that cannot be disputed whatsoever is that the store as it is now is unrivalled by any yet in Lagos, in terms of the interior. The new shoes store used to be the space occupied by Vivienne Chioloji's Pride & Joy a while ago, before she moved to her own place somewhere at Lekki Phase one, where she now operates both her high-end gifts store and a first class salon.

According to those who have had a sneak peek of Abisola's shoe store, they describe the interior as very elegantly sumptuous, extraordinarily appointed and unbelievably beautiful. Imagine covering the walls with suede-like fabrics, in Purple or Burgundy colour, we hear that the place is a feast for the eye, as you enter the first thing that meets the eyes, are these fantastic framed-like openings or cubicles on the wall, where shoes would be displayed, the openings were so exquisitely done, that they can easily deceive the eyes, at first look you would think they are gilt-edged gorgeous frames, till you move near and see that they are real, fabulous looking shoes and mirrors have been placed so elegantly and expertly to cause a mirror-like affect, we also hear that there like 5- gorgeous bird-cages where shoes would be trapped (displayed) for all to see, there are also glass stands on opposite sides that would display some of those first class shoe brands worn by ladies of style- the Christian Louboutins (don't worry, she didn't get the franchise), Rene Caovilas, Guiseppe Zanottis, Hermes, most probably Roger Viviers and the likes.

We hear the unbelievably gorgeous store was designed from carcass by one of the most gifted interior geniuses in Lagos- Saheed Sulaiman of Studio Sulaiman, who from the little snippets we are getting is ranked as one of the world acclaimed, young interior designer of note, he moved back to Nigeria not long ago.

We even heard that Abisola's dad, His Excellency himself gave nods of approval and thumbs-up on sighting the daughter's store. So friends, family members and customers alike are all eagerly awaiting the opening. Trust Abisola, who revels in media attention so much, she has brought in her American celeb friend- Malika Haqq,- Actress, Television Personality who is also Khloe Kardashian Odom's best friend forever, you would have seen her on episodes of Keeping up with the Kardashians, Khloe & Lamar and Kourtney & Khloe take Miami. We hear (though not confirmed) that Malika would be around for like a month as part of 'the package' to help drive attention towards the shoes store. Don't be suprised if more of Abisola's American posse all come to Lagos, Nigeria one after the other. It's all part of the package.

Just like we said last night in our story about former Governor- Ibrahim Idris-who we said has taken wife Nos 13, when we said ‘when you are big, you are big’. We have had to repeat that common saying again, only a few hours after we first used it.

This time around we are using it in the case of the very delectable first daughter of the Executive Governor of Oyo State- Abisola Abiola Kola-Daisi. The gorgeous mother of one, who we reported in an earlier post about her plans to open a one of a kind shoe shop, which is tentatively called Florence H, at Musa Yar Adua street, Victoria Island is in the news again. She was seen in America rolling with one of her super star friends.

Long before coming back to Nigeria from the United States a few years back, she was known to have several friends amongst the superstars of Hollywood, who we heard they used to roll together having the best of fun and times, as there was enough bucks to play with then. That was before; her hardworking dad became the action Governor of Oyo state.

She seems to be reliving the good times as we speak, as shown in 2 pictures we came about on MediaTakeout.com, which was posted on the web today- April 10, 2012. She was seen driving with the equally delectable Lala Anthony. Lala is the gorgeous American star (TV Hostess/Business owner) who is married to Carmelo Anthony- a professional basketball player, who plies his trade with the New York Knicks.

There is the possibility Lala Anthony might even come to town for the opening of Florence H, if the kind of friendship we think is on between Bisola & Lala is anything to go by. And Hmmmmmmm, whose is that Yellow Birkin Bag???????
