LIVE AT THE FACE OF ZIKEL 2019 CAMP

Zikel Cosmetics is a Nigerian beauty brand that is set to give all others in the same business a run for their money. The growing concern that's already shaking the beauty industry powerfully, has about '50 products' under their brand, and that's still growing too. In just under a few years of her existence, going to just 3 years to be more precise, it has extended her growing tentacles across Nigeria and even the West African sub-region via franchising and other marketing channels and its still growing steadily in leaps. Many who have used & are still using their various products, readily testifies to the reliability of the many products in the range.

A testament to how good their products are, is also in the level of their brand ambassadors, who have endorsed the brand in just 3 years of existence. They have had 3 brand ambassadors so far, and they are all very well known, quite stylish personalities in the entertainment industry, who all hold their own very well. There's Halima Abubakar, thr Kogi bombshell actress and producer, there's the awesomely beautiful Mercy MacJoe and then the most current and the biggest of them all so far, being the one and only Tonto Dikeh. Who was signed on, not too long ago with loads of fanfare, to a very 'lucrative contract', said to be one of the biggest in the country so far.

Zikel Cosmetics prides itself as an 'affordable luxury' range of beauty products made for the 'African woman of distinction', who wants to use beauty products that helps to bring out her best features, without having any adverse effect whatsoever on her skin. Their products, are clinically tested for the most delicate skins, so it's not just about selling alone, what the products help to achieve at the end is very important too. .

As part of the brand's ideology/philosophy to contribute her own quota to the society by been very 'socially responsible', it has organized its own unique type of beauty contest which it has called the "Face of Zikel international 2019" to empower young and beautiful ladies. The upcoming unique beauty event with her grand finale slated for Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the prestigious Bespoke Event Center, Lekki, Lagos is the maiden edition of the annual contest and it promises to be a massive event by all standards possible. Already invitation cards have gone out a great deal and many stars in the country and other celebrities plus those involved in the beauty field have promised to storm the classy event in great numbers.

We were at the camp where about 50 plus stunning contestants from all over the country and even from outside are camped and going through rigorous competitive drills to prepare them ahead for the Sunday, grand finale.

In all, about 10 titles would be competed for, some would be won at the camp and the others would be at the grand finale proper. The titles on line for prospective winners are the: Face of Zikel World: Universe: Photogenic: Popularity: Amity: Glamour: Tourism: Ecowas:  & Charismatic. The main title though is the Face of Zikel world 2019 and the lucky winner, would on Sunday be carting home a million Naira (1 million NAIRA cash): would embark on an all expenses paid trip to Dubai, the UAE: 6 months unlimited supply of Zikel Cosmetics products amongst many things that the winner and other consolidation prizes that others would cart home.

It has been fun galore at the camp as we speak, been the 1st day of camp, the gals had their accreditations done and were introduced to the products and then grilled on the rules of the camp and other things by their pageant manager who was assisted by the chaperones. After a quick change, they thereafter had a swell welcome party by the pool side of their camp venue. All were looking very hot🔥 & smashing in their swimsuits and bikinis. The gals came from all over Nigeria, including a contestant that flew in from the UK and about 2 from Ghana. The camp is on till Sunday as more activities and surprises are still in store for the contestants as packaged by Zikel Cosmetics, the organizers of the Face of Zikel international 2019 competition.

HALIMA ABUBAKAR'S CLASSY BIRTHDAY DINNER

Better late than never ever at all. So thespian and one of Nollywood's more affluent practitioner Halima Abubakar was a year older recently, she's either in her middle 30's or moving very close to 40 and to mark the happy day, she invited her friends to a classy dinner party to celebrate with her.

Halima is well known to always mark or celebrate her birthday every year with pomp, so 2019 was no exception as she had a rather more subdued but classy celebration. She came to her own party looking all glam and sophisticated in her all white, exquisite outfit showing off her impressive cleavage to good effect, especially with that strategically placed tattoo on the left boob. As an aside with how the twin towers were peeking out gorgeously in her dress, many were wondering if maybe the average height bombshell might have augmented slightly her delightsome pair very recently, especially with a few doctors now very available in Lagos to help do the magic. But others have pooh-poohed the idea claiming the best Halima might or could have done is just the good use of a nice push up bra, that would have given the pronounced lift, while also creating the impressive roundness at the same time. Any which one though, na she get her mammary glands however she one do am (mold it) na her issue.

From the look of things and emotions expressed, it was quite obvious for all to see that she appreciated the good support she got from her friends that attended to wish her well and witness her happy day. It's been a bit somehow of late for the gorgeous Kogi born lady, who has the ears of her State's first lady-Hajia Rasheeda Bello. Halima has had to battle insinuations from her former friend and colleague-Cossy 'the boobed one' Orjiakor who had been unrelenting in her scathing remarks at casting aspersions on HALIMA as not being a true friend but a snake. But as expected of a classy lady she had refused all through the unrelenting provocation to say a word.

One of the mutual friends of both Halima and Cossy, the quote in your face Uche Ogbodo was quite prominent at the recent birthday dinner of her friend. Check out the lovely pictures here.

HALIMA ABUBAKAR THE JUNE 12 LADY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR

Halima is undoubtedly a survivor.  A strong survivor at that. She not too long ago successfully underwent a fibroid operation in India.

Not that that was something super extraordinary, but if you look at things from the perspective of some women being much more stronger than others and can take things easily in their strides a bit easier than others, then you'll understand that any decision to undergo an operation with all the risks involved is a big decision.

We are so happy that she has gotten her groove back. And she's looking better and better by the day.

So her birthday, June 12 is annually that special day, many are still clamouring to be declared a public holiday.

So for this year as expected of the Kano born thespian , she released these happy and grateful pictures here in celebration of life and seeing another birthday.

Happy belated birthday to a good friend and a great person.

The mistresses a new film from the stable of Halima Abubakar's  ModeHouz premiered to a loud bang! This weekend. The d-date was Sunday, February 24, 2013, the venue of the premiere was the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, with that fantastic view of the lake or is it the lagoon at the back. 

This is Halima's first major production, and on the day, many of her colleagues also in the make believe world (by that we mean fellow thespians- actresses, actors and also producers/directors) came out to celebrate and rejoice with one of their own; also in attendance were friends and fans and as usual the press (publishers, bloggers, journalists) without whom no event is complete. 

It was a beautiful occasion we must say, the lady of the moment Halima Abubakar, who not too long ago was honored as an Ambassador of peace by the UN, was the cynosure of all eyes. The gorgeously shaped one and talented one at that, must have planned her wardrobe to the t, as she had a wardrobe change all of 3 times. 1st was a very slinky, long slithering silver number, it was like molten silver was poured on her and then left to cool off. The outcome was that it just formed on her delightsome body, leaving just a slit on the left leg, which showed her beautiful silver spike shoes, truth be said, she really looked cool. For her 2nd outfit of the day, she wore a creation by one of the designers that showcased on the night.  It was another beautiful outfit by Alabi Couture by Meg Alabi, it was sheer on top and gold bottom and she finished off the look with a pair of black pumps with gold studs on it. Her final change on the night, had her in a red lace dress by another designer that showcased on the night Azam Couture. She finished off the look with a gorgeous pair of silver shoes. 

It wasn't just about the premiere alone, it was also an opportunity to show a little kindness to the less privileged. Halima known to be very charitable at heart, made sure to tell all to donate their widows mite in support of charity. The event master of ceremony was none other than Toni Payne, who was supported in the background by Cornell Udofia, the publicists to many stars. Opening prayer was done by Hakeem Rahman, while the national anthem was led by the cute Kefee, we totally love how she and husband were just cooing into each other's ears , sharing those sweet little nothings we think. Comedy was by Danny b, an hilarious son of the gun, who gave a good account of himself, musical interlude was by Honey B, Jaywon & there was this trio of young kids, that thrilled all to high heavens. It was fantastic!

A few of the guests and colleagues later gave glowing reviews of the person of Halima Abubakar, the current president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Ex-beauty queen Ibinabo Fiberesima, described Halima as a good person, a rallying point and love personified.  Mr. Prolific and MD of GrandTouch Production 'Chico Ejiro' added that Halima is 'Miss Dependable' and a great person.  Basorun Dele Momodu, the Publisher of Ovation Magazine & also a former presidential aspirant, who had to cut short his very busy schedule to honour the actress, said Halima was a good person and that was why he had to fly in at short notice to show support.

Like we said before, there were 2 fashion showcases on the night, 1st to showcase was Azam Couture and then was followed much later during the event by Alabi Couture.  The event venue was packed full with delightsome people and some of those we saw were the gloriously delicious 'Benita Peters-a very supportive friend of Halima, there was also Susan Peters who was looking very slim and came in royal purple, Oge Okoye wore a silver bandage dress, Tana Olulana too wore a beautiful grey/silver nos, Marian Keturah, the delicious Liberian actress came wearing a sheer black number looking unbelievably sexy, Mercy Aigbe wore a stripped black and white ensemble, Ufuoma Ejenobor, who not too long ago dropped a baby came wearing a black outfit, looking as ravishing as ever, Doris Simeon favoured red, seems like it's her best colour, Iyabo Ojo was in a pink dress, the Aneke twins showed off their legs to maximum effect in their short burgundy outfits. Ex-MBGN 2011 Sylvia Nduka who is a member of the cast wore a black number that had silver appliqué on the side, model hunter and ex-beauty queen Princess Chineke was also in the house looking gorgeous. Others that we saw were Jaywon, Loye Amzat, publisher News of the People, Alariwo, Chico & Joy Ejiro, Mary Uranta, Fareeda, Amaka Ononibaku, Agbaje Abiodun, editor of CityPeople Adeboyin Okeshina, Mike Osagie, the entertainment editor at ThisDay Nseobong Okon-Ekong, Bobby Michael, Saeed Muhammed, and many others. 

2 of the casts were not around. Yvonne Nelson missed her flight so was unavoidably absent, so also was Moyo Lawal, who was on call on the set of another film. In all, it was a fun-filled evening, amidst back-slapping  & camaraderie. Everyone who saw the preview of the film commended the production quality & the acting, saying it was 1st class, and they all can't wait to see the full length film.

Nollywood star and UN Ambassador is gearing up for the premiere of her new movie titled -The Mistresses. The film which stars Halima Abubakar,  Ghanaian bombshell Yvonne Nelson, Nigerian rising star Moyo Lawal, Bobby 'the hunk' Michael, Mary Uranta and introducing ex-Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 201, Sylvia Nduka is one of the most anticipated in Nigeria in a while now. 

Apart from the fact that Halima Abubakar is starring in the movie, she is also the executive producer and the CEO of the production company (ModeHouse Films) bringing out the film.

HALIMA ABUBAKAR ADDS ANOTHER YEAR

Award winning actress Halima Abubakar- she's won several awards in the last few months, who is one of the most sculpted (Body shape-wise) in the industry- Her shape is award winning also, was a year older yesterday- Saturday, June 15, 2012. To mark the day, she invited very few of her friends to a birthday dinner. In case you weren't invited, it's because you are not one of the important ones.

Those who were there, had an over load of fun from what we gathered, birthday girl herself who is a noted philanthropist was the epitome of gorgeousness in her beautiful sun-flower yellow dress, the party venue was Chocolate Royale on the Island. We say Mr & Mrs. Tuface & Annie Idibia, Susan Peters, Amaka Ononibaku, Geraldine Ejiofor & few others at the event.
