....WE ARE STILL TRIPPING ABOUT THAT $52000 DOLLARS AP WATCH WORN BY JAMIL ABUBAKAR FOR HIS WEDDING DINNER...

MAESTRO'S MEDIA EXCLUSIVE. That "Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Leo Messi Limited Edition Watch"

Apart from the fact that the Pilot son of the former IGP, MD Abubakar, is a handsome dude who is very friendly and a good supporter of his friends. Dude has no unneccesary airs about him and that alone is a trip!

One other fact known about him is that he his a "watch freak'' and car buff and he doesn't joke with the 2!  For his wedding dinner at the Eko Hotel Victoria Island Lagos on Friday, he wore the Limited Edition AP watch that has only "400" of it made worldwide.

The beautiful watch has a 41mm 18k Rose Gold case with a solid stainless steel back, tantalum bezel, glare proofed sapphire crystal, brushed anthracite dial applied with gold hour markers & white gold luminescent hands and comes at a cost of $52000 Dollars, which is about give or take ₦18 million Naira!

One of the highlight of this long wedding ceremonies for us is that we are so very happy, that Jamil Abubakar could boldly support a full fledged, strictly Nigerian fashion brand like "Kimono Collection", on Fola Osibo, Lekki phase 1, for his outfit and those of his Groomsmen.

Kudos!

Thank God it has all come to a conclusion finally. At least we can now look forward to the next big thing now (sigh of relief), maybe that would take a while though. Jamil and Fatima Abubakar really took over the media on all platforms for 2 straight weeks and might have shutdown the internet as there was no one that didn't report it, from this side of the world. This surely might beaten the record already set by Banky W & wife coverage .

The curiosity to know what Africa''s wealthiest man would do really got everyone's attention. No doubt we weren't too disappointed at all. It was a fairytale start that ended on a fairytale note too. We only pray that the couple would live happily ever after, especially all of this much of scrutiny. But from their body language though, we so sure that both are totally, awesomely, madly in love with each other and we pray for the success of the marriage and for fruitfulness to abound bountifully all round.

Like we had already anticipated and predicted, it was lifestyle all the way in all ramifications. We don't think Eko Hotel Convention Centre have ever been more beautiful, as the lighting fixtures, decor, settings etc were the bomb. K Square security as they are known to do in collaboration with the real security were first class, but that should have been expected though. The groom is none other than the 1st son of the former boss of the Nigerian Police, so security would beba given and supporting that fact is that the bride is the daughter of the Richest Nigerian and adding to that is that the guests were some of the wealthiest, most connected in Nigeria and some from outside.

Guest list like already spoken about was out of unbelievable, with as many as 22 Governorsbod states serving government functionaries, past and present leaders of the nation, Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and wife, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo,  Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, Gen (rtd) Yakubu Gowon, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, Alhaji Nenadi Sambo, GCON, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu & Senator Remi Tinubu, Aremo Olusegun Osoba and Beere Derin Osoba, former 2 time Governor of Kano Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Anambra State Governor Peter  Obi, leaders & members of the House of Assembly, led by the Senate President Dr Olubukola Saraki and wife, Speaker RT Hon. Yakubu Dogara, and we saw the hilarious dancing Senators Drmola Adeleke & Dino Melaye. We also saw the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo, Togo's President, Faure Gnassingbe, then billionaires like Philanthropist par excellence, Mo Ibrahim, Samad Isiyaku Rabiu, Tunde Folawiyo, Capt. Hosa Ogunbor, Folorunsho Alakija, Femi Otedola, Jim Ovia, Tony Elumelu, Deji Adeleke, Aigboje AIG-Imokhuede, Ayiri Emami, Daisy Danjuma, Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya. We had corpate gurus in attendance too likes of Otunba Adekunle Ojora and Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, Wale Tinubu. There were other bigwigs like Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II, Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRosheed Adewale  Akanbi Telu I, first lady Aisha Buhari just to mention a few.

Supreme entertainment was provided by the king of African beats, King Sunny Ade, Davido who is Aliko Dangote's godson, the inimitable Wizkid, Timi Dakolo, DJ Jimmy Jatt & the Vintage band. All of who gave great accounts of themselves.

#FAMIL2018 FINAL LEG. UNDOUBTEDLY THE WEDDING OF THE SEASON. AS ALIKO DANGOTE FETES THE WORLD

Mallam & Hajia- Jamil and Fatima Abubakar

Fatima getting set with Swanky Jerry

Jamil "Jam Boy" Abubakar

Aliko & Bill

Aliko Dangote, Saheed Kekere-Ekun & Bill Gates

Mr. Femi Otedola

Tarmar Awobotu

Please count this report as a part one of this final, concluding part of this unbelievable wedding of the season bar none or even yet to come. Maybe when Cuppy or Temi Otedola or any of the ADENUGA kids, or even Davido decides to wed, maybe then we would see another humongous wedding of this magnitude. This was absolutely L.I.T....... Aliko Dangote went far and beyond to fete the world.......

We had thought that after spending at least ₦500 million for the #faaji2018, that no other wedding was going to be near it for sheer opulence, extravagance and what have you, but memnnnnnn.... this Dangote/ Abubakar wedding, was in a state, class or level of its own. Though some people had said you cannot compare government money with an individual's own, but when this individual's worth is far more than the government's own what can one expect,...... but the best.

Like we had predicted correctly, the traffic situation on the island was epic. Was it because of this wedding party? Most likely so, we would say. Even one of the GSM brands had to send a message to warn people about it. Away from that though.

If we begin to mention the who-is-who that came, then we would continue listing till tomorrow and most likely wouldn't have finished. This is probably one of the biggest crowd ever seen to converge at the expansive hall of Eko Hotel Convention Centre that had not come for a concert, but for a party, in fact a wedding at that. In fact apart from some concerts, this crowd easily outnumbered many that had held at the same venue and not to forget that this crowd was predominantly the creme de la creme of the Nigerian society and more from far and wide, not just the Lagos crowd.

Men and women of timber and caliber, of means and substance, of resources and wherewithal, gathered and sat or stood shoulder to shoulder, clinked glasses, back slapped, shook hands, had tete-a-tete, gossiped, laughed together and generally had a super great time together at the occasion.

The hall was transformed magnificently, remember this was an occasion hosted by one of the officially listed wealthiest men in the world, so money wasn't or isn't a problem, so it was put to good use. How much could Aliko have spent in all, when "Jide Omokore" a nouveau rich in his heydays spent not less than $8million dollars if not more, for his son's wedding in Dubai? So how much would $10 million dollars have been for a whole ALIKOoooooo DANGOTEeeee?

We are yet to confirm some of the gifts that were supposedly shared out, but one of what we heard would most definitely be too good to be true, a Rolex each or even for any number of people would have been going overboard!

This Lagos leg would be an occasion to be remembered for a very long time and it has set a benchmark for the super rich already, so he or she that dares, let them come on board.

A quick one about the style adopted by the young husband, totally and wonderfully on point. Jamil can only be described as a dapper dude, his outfit was the perfect fit, not a yard too much, just very precise and on point, with the red socks peeping stylish under his black pant. Fatima's white dress is just too angelic to describe. As per what it could have cost her? Leave that for the mind to conjure........

We have a few initial pictures for your viewing pleasure. Check em out and leave your beautiful comments.

Salute!

FATIMA'S WEDDING JEWELRY SET THAT CAN BUY A HOUSE & SOME!

Rubies & diamonds between $20000 to $100000

Emeralds and diamond

Emeralds

Diamonds

Black and white diamonds

It is the nuptial of a daughter of the incomparable and enigmatic "Alhaji Aliko Dangote", that's a name one calls with full respect and not anyhow, as he is probably richer than several African countries put together!

So being a daughter of such a man of affluence & connects around the world, means and resources, what would a jewelry set or collection, of a few thousands of dollars do to their treasure chest(s)?

..........Nothing, absolutely nothing whatsoever! Even Jamil himself, would buy those without flinching, not to talk about his colossal dad-in-law!

If you have been observant, you would have noticed that since the nuptial ceremonies began, Fatima has worn, one after the other, the 4 awesome main precious stones, diamonds, rubies, emeralds & maybe sapphires done up in very intricate designs as jewelry pieces, adorning her neck.

An estimate of the 18ct gold wrist watch with diamonds, which might probably be a Chopard would be at about $20000 (Twenty thousand dollars), the awesome Ruby and Diamond set next to the watch couldn't have been less than $20000 & depending on the brand could go for as much as $100000 (That's about₦7 plus million to ₦36m), that whole piece alone for her Abuja outing alone is about ₦50m Naira alone! The predominantly Ruby piece is very significant in that the red hue is a symbol of love, in fact the ruby is tagged as "the love man's talisman", an ideal romantic gift, especially given to a lady in love.

If you factor her other jewelry, like the emerald and diamond set, which is estimated at between $20000 and $50000 that's between ₦7 plus milion & ₦18 million Naira, the rectangular iced out watch she wore cannot be less than $25000. And then the white diamond set alone, can be from between $15000 to $50000 plus, depending on many factors (cost can be more or less depending on the brand), and that's between ₦5million plus and ₦18million Naira.

Then there's that beautiful black diamond piece she wore at the Kano dinner in the picture with her mom, which cannot be less than $20000, that's about ₦7 million plus.

So in short, she couldn't have worn less than an estimated ₦80million Naira worth of jewelry for her wedding and it could go as much as ₦150million worth! Chicken feed we presume you would know, especially if one would look at the pot from where the money flow, is coming out from!

Salute!

JAMIL AND FATIMA ABUBAKAR. FROM KANO TO ABUJA & LAGOS ITSELF UPLOADING. A PICTORIAL EXCURSION

Fatima Abubakar

Mallam Jamil and Hajia Fatima Abubakar

Couple with Jamil's mom

Couple with Fatima's mom

Aliko Dangote with league of gentlemen

We know so much have already been said, so we wouldn't be doing an overkill by saying too much again.

So this part would be more of a pictorial excursion about the events that has been tagged #famil2018, the awesome many days nuptial ceremony between Jamil Mohammed Abubakar and Fatima Dangote. Incidentally, Fatima is already Mrs. Abubakar, infact she has been that for 2 days already.

The ceremonies have spanned Kano, which is the ancestral home of the Dangotes, so it was why the wedding Fatiha/Nikkai happened there, officiated by the most important person in Kano, His Royal Majesty, the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II. So after that happenstance in good ole Kano, the party then moved to Abuja yesterday, Saturday March 17, 2018 for another humongous reception.

As expected it was colourful, it was fun and exciting and had the bigwigs in attendance. Check them out, in blazing colours! We have no mixed a few Kano pictures with the ones from Abuja.

AT THE HUMONGOUS KANO NIKKAI OF JAMIL & FATIMA ABUBAKAR NEE DANGOTE!

Jamil with Royal Fathers, Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife and HRM, Oba of Lagos

Aliko Dangote welcoming PMB

We are sure, you are a bit surprised at the title of this post,  as we are already referring to the couple as a married Mr & Mrs Abubakar! That's because with yesterday's ceremony the DAURIN AURE in Kano, it meant now that they are officially now Mr & Mrs and every other thing done afterwards, are just additional to the main dish itself.

If you had taken time to read through the processes we had written about, you would have noticed that what happened yesterday in Kano was actually the most important part of the processes. The "DAURIN AURE" the wedding Fatiha/nikkai is the actually exchange of marital vows!

The representatives of the bride's family (men), led by the President of the Federal Republic, President Muhammadu Buhari, who acted as the bride's guardian and the representatives of the groom's family (men) in front of a religious leader here being His Royal Highness, the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II, ably supported and assisted by the Chief Imam of Kano, Prof. Sani Zahradden conducted the whole affair in his palace at 11am.

The representative of the groom's family, Jamil's guardian who the bride- Fatima was handed over to, paid ₦500000 as the dowry.

You can imagine that a wedding "Fatiha/Nikkai" that a President of a country attended (he is obviously up and about in Nigeria nowadays) and even played a prominent role in, would also have in attendance many more men of timber and caliber. Some of the bigwigs seen were the likes of the 2nd wealthiest man ever on Earth, Mr. Bill Gates, Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House, Honourable Yakubu Dogara, too many Governors to count likes of Ganduje, Amosun, Obaseki, El Rufai, Masari, Ajimobi and many more, the Ooni of Ife led other royal fathers, we saw the Oba of Lagos, Oba Akiolu too, so also former MD of Access Bank, Aig AIG-Imokhuede, BUA Grp Chairman Samad Isiyaku Rabiu, Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, Minister for Solid Minerals, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Minister for Power, Housing and Works, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN,  Publisher of This Day Newspaper, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, national leader of the APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former Head of State, General Abdusalami Abubakar and very many others.

So now that the most important part of the wedding ceremony is now over, it's the time for the awesome, unprecedented merriment to happen and that is set for next week, Saturday March 24, 2018 as all roads would lead to the Eko Hotel Victoria Island Lagos.

JAMIL MOHAMMED WEDS FATIMA CEREMONIES BEGINS WITH A SUCCESSFUL KAMU

Hajia Maryam Abacha

Everything about this wedding points at the fact that it would be huge! What less can one expect from the households of the official Africa's Richest human alive, in the person of Alhaji Aliko Dangote and that of retired Inspector General of Police, M. D Abubakar.

So just as yesterday was the engagement ceremony of the Vice President's daughter Damilola, later that evening was the Kamu night for Fatima hosted by Fatima's paternal grandmother, Dr. Mariya Sanusi Dantata in Kano, yesterday, Thursday March 15, 2018.

The Kamu ceremony like we already tried to explain in the report for Idris and Fatima Abiola Ajimobi's wedding, It's a beautiful, fun but serious part of the events. We have thought to break down fully here the whole series of events that makes up the culturally rich Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri and Shuwa wedding.

For the Hausa,Fulani, Kanuri and Shuwa their very rich traditional wedding is well steeped in Islamic rites and must follow certain well laid down patterns and most often the entire series of events, spans a whole week. From the "Wedding Fatiha/Nikkai", which is the "most important" part of the whole proceedings and is actually the wedding itself, to the grand finale, "the Grand Reception" which is just the merriment, the party which seals everything altogether!

Part 1 is the "KAYAN ZANCE". This first part can only happen only after the wedding proposal has been accepted by the bride's family. Once the proposal is accepted, what follows is that the groom's family would gift or provide certain gifts, depending on the level of means or resources of the groom's family. The package for the bride would include household items, cookware, jewelry, underwear, beauty products, perfumes, shoes, fabrics, cash etc. If the groom's family are well positioned (rich enough) they might even provide a whole house as a gift to the bride. This is when you ll see the Louis Vuitton Bags and all sorts as gifts for the bride. The more affluent the groom's family are, the more upscale the level of gifts brought too.

Part 2 is known as "DAURIN AURE". In the series of events, this is the "Most Important" part of everything. This is the "Wedding Fatiha known also in the South as the Nikkai ". This part is attended strictly by men on both sides of the families only, where wedding vows are exchanged. It's a very "religious ceremony". Representatives from each side would exchange vows on behalf of the groom and bride in front of a religious leader and invited guests. In actual fact once this is done, the people are agreed and accepted to be married already.

Part 3 is known as "KAMUN AMARIYA". "Kamu' actually refers to or mean, "Catch the bride"! This is one of the oldest part of the whole ceremonies, which makes up the whole wedding. Here the groom's family (aunties, sisters, cousins) would come to negotiate with the friends of the bride, for her (bride) to be released to them. Since they have come for their "beloved bride", no price or amount can stop them from getting their bride, so name it, they are willing to "PAY"! Negotiation to come to an ideal agreement can last for as long as 30minutes and thereafter, it would be followed by a reception. After the negotiations have been concluded, as a sign of agreement a special perfume (turari) would be sprayed which signifies that all has been sorted out well. That's when the happy and fun reception can now proceed. In addition, the money from the negotiation is actually not taken by the bride or her family. It is shared amongst the friends of the bride!

Part 4 is known as the WUNI/SA LALLE. A very colourful part of the proceedings. Here only the women on both sides are involved, it is a "strict ladies only affair". With how stunning many of the Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri and Shuwa ladies are, this is one part when they all come out in torrents, like a beautiful waterfall in their nice amd very colourful Hollandaise outfits with their LALLE. At this occasion, the bride spends the last bit of her "Free Time", with the female members of her family and then later her various friends at her dad's house. Then Henna dye is used to do very intricate designs on the hands and feet of female family members and friends of the bride. But the "most beautiful, most stunning, most intricate and most intriguing of the designs" is for the bride herself, who is obvious centre of attraction. So has is standout. In every manner! WUNI itself actually means a form of like lounging/relaxing, so the bride enjoys loads of pampering while getting good advises from those aroumd her.

Part 5 is known as the "KAI AMARIYA'', not the KAMUN as above. This is like the last part of the whole ceremonies. This is when the family and friends  "escorts" the bride to her matrimonial home, where they would be well received by the groom's family. Depending on levels again, the groom's family would lead followed by the bride's. Here again series of prayers for the marriage, well being of the couple, their home, their future etc would pour endlessly, also advises from elders would follow too. Thereafter all these 5 major parts have been concluded, depending on the means, resources, wherewithal of the families involved, then a "Grand Reception", mother of all parties, with enough food, music and entertainment can now be done.

For Fatima and Jamil many major parts of the ceremonies have been concluded already, but it's still remaining the "GRAND RECEPTION" which is set for Lagos next week Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Eko Hotel Victoria Island Lagos. Both are officially already husband and wife!

One of the August visitors at yesterday's event was none other than the wife of the late former Nigerian dictator- Gen. Sani Abacha in the person of Hajia Maryam Abacha.

If you don't have the invitation card to attend the grand reception, don't even venture trying to go there!
