Let's start this post with a question. Were the owners of Make Me Beauty Place able to fulfill the promise(s) made? The idea from the very beginning was to build a world-class beauty spot/palace where apart from having world-class comfort, the expertise on ground would also be a major focus-first class. Now that you all know what was at the back of the mind of Ugochukwu & Bukola Igbokwe, the proud owners of the gorgeous edifice that houses Make Me Place, do you think they delivered on the promises made?

From us at MM, after going through the whole place and observing the services rendered, we think it has been smooth sailing and we can say for a fact, they are delivering on the promises. First the palace cannot be faulted, it is convenience & comfort par excellence and not only that the workers are well trained and are doing fantastic.

Let's move away from all that, and tell you a little bit about the opening.  The new Make Me Palace was opened by the First Lady of Lagos State-Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola, she was also the same person that opened the former place a few years ago, the wonderful woman had long before now told Ugochukwu & Bukola that when next she was being invited to declare open anything for Make Me, it must be owned by the couple, a few years later her prayers for the couple was answered. The building and the palace that is now known as the New Make Me Place at Nos. 44, Bode Thomas Road, Surulere, Lagos belongs to the couple. 

It was a fantastic day for the couple, as friends, family members, staff members, customers all gathered together to help declare open the Palace. Michelle Dede was the event's MC. Top Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde was one of the special guests, she has been a regular at Make Me for a few years now, we also saw Francisca Owumi, the former BBN housemate, looking fantastically gorgeous, we especially loved those Spiked Christian Louboutin shoes (the Fifi strass & spikes 100 mm which goes for 2,250 Pounds), the gorgeous Ify Ejikeme, also a former BBN housemate also came, looking very stylish in a short, black fringe dress, we also saw one of Nigeria's Top designers Zizi Cardow looking as sweet as always, ace-photographer and publisher of Mania Magazine, Kelechi Amadi-Obi came with his gorgeous wife, a very creative Interior Designer, who helped in designing the new Make Me Place, Dimeji Alara, the top stylist and Editor of Mania was also in attendance, we also saw Enitan Balogun, the MD/CEO of Lise Cosmetics & also publisher of B.O.M Magazine, there were many other guests in attendance too numerous to mention.  We had the event covered and we thought to showcase the pictures for your viewing delight. WELCOME TO THE NEW MAKE ME PALACE

It's been tagged as the most beautiful salon in Lagos, Nigeria as at now. The magnificent edifice was declared open a week ago by the First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola, who is a loyal client of the salon. 

We have tried at several times to describe the Beauty Palace, so we are not going to do that again, instead we are bringing for your viewing pleasure the pictures of the world-class place for you to see and love.  Many who have visited have continually commended the owners Ugochukwu and Bukola Igbokwe for a beautiful job well-done.

UGOCHUKWU IGBOKWE SET TO OPEN ULTRA MODERN WORLD CLASS BEAUTY/HAIR PALACE.

All roads leads this weekend, Sunday, July 8, 2012, to 44, Bode Thomas Road, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. When Nigeria’s King of Hair-Styling- the extra-ordinarily blessed & gifted Ugochukwu Igbokwe would throw open the doors of his new branch- The Make Me Beauty Place, which is just a walk away from the old building.

The edifice, a whole house, would house a one of its kind Hair/Beauty Mart downstairs and unarguably the best Hair Salon in Lagos as at yet barring none, upstairs. 

Getting to this point for Ugochukwu was not easy at all, he bought a building that had to be remodeled and it had to be rebuilt to particular standards, the award winning Hair-stylist was not going to compromise on at all.  The place was to have opened several months ago, but due to escalating cost he had to re-strategize and still meet up with his plans.

Now the unbelievably gorgeous place is finished and come this Sunday, it would be declared open by none other than the First Lady of Lagos- Dame Abimbola Fashola, wife of the Executive Governor of Lagos State.

Let’s just give a brief description of the place. Downstairs like we already said is the beauty supply store, that stocks the best brands of hair from the very affordable to the best brands you can dream about, not just hair extensions, also every other thing like creams, gels etc that feeds the hair.  Apart from the hair products and extensions, they would also stock a few brands of beauty products; the idea is to have a total beauty palace.

Upstairs is where many would be totally mesmerized, you climb the stairs and you are immediately swept off your feet by the beautiful and spacious ambience, you are welcomed by a mini water-fall, then the sound-proofed glass opens for you to be welcomed by the receptionist, immediately before your eyes is a Super-Exclusive place, it’s a private enclosure for members only, next to it is the fantastic nail room, by the side are the cubicles, that has been tagged the work stations, there are 4 of the work stations, that takes 6 people at a go, opposite a part of the work station is the Hair Wash area, where 5 people can wash their hair simultaneously, you move from this area and you enter through a door always kept shut into the ‘’Exclusive Area’’, that section is another story entirely.  It’s like leaving the economy part of a plane to enter the First Class section; you enter a world of ultimate pampering. You need to visit to see what’s on ground; comfort seems to be the watchword.

For the opening you can expect to see some of Nollywood’s powerhouses converging, the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Ini Edo, Uche Jombo-Rodriguez, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Chidi Mokeme, Mike Ezuruonye , Chioma Chukwuka, other celebs like Julius Agwu, Omawunmi Megbele, Gideon Okeke, Damilola Adegbite, Jackie Appaiah and many others are also expected to grace the opening.
