THE AKINRUNTAN ROYAL FAMILY CELEBRATES 3 BIRTHDAYS IN ONE WEEK

The Akinruntan Royal Family, led by their Patriarch, His Royal Majesty Oba Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan, are all in a major celebratory mood as we speak now.

First was the 70th birthday celebration of the respected monarch, who is said to be the wealthiest monarch in the whole of Nigeria and by extension one of the richest in Africa. The very impressive Royal Father, is the owner and Chairman of one of the biggest indigenous oil firms in Nigeria known to most as Obat Oil which is named after him.

In celebration of him clocking his new age, his very loving kids and family launched a foundation, "OBA AKINRUNTAN FOUNDATION" for him at the weekend in Igbokoda and through same foundation gave his subjects free medical treatments.

While the monarch's 70th birthday was on Sunday, July 16, 2017, his second very hardworking son, Prince Femi Akinruntan, the Managing Director of Obat Oil clocked 40 today, Tuesday, July 18, 2017. So by this birthday now, Femi has officially become a member of the "league of extraordinary gentlemen".

Known to most of his friends and associates as a very supportive and generous soul, Femi was expected to have rolled out the drums and also the red carpet in celebration of this 40th, but instead he had a quiet birthday. Although a bird whispered in our ears, that something more befitting might be upcoming in New York, USA very soon that would be private and very exclusive just to mark the coming of age.

Not still ending there, the king's daughter "Funmilayo", better known as "Layo" who is older than Femi also is adding a year tomorrow, wednesday, July 19, 2017. So it's 3-pronged royal celebration. So the monthvl of July from the 16th, 18th and 19th are special days in that royal household.

Both are very well respected royal fathers and both also extraordinarily colourful and imposing. Their stools are held sacred, though one far more than the other in terms of hierarchy based on the history, culture and the tradition of the Yotubas.

Both are very okay in terms of wealth, but one far far more than the other, in fact the unsubstantiated belief is that the Olugbo is the richest and wealthiest Nigerian king. He owns and is the chairman of a oil and gas brand, named after himself. The Ooni by contrast used to be mainly a developer, and he is one of the investors that built Inagbe Resort, one of West Africa's most beautiful resorts.

While age is far more on the side of the Ooni, who is just 42. The Olugbo on the other side is his 60s and not getting any younger, thank God for money he would have aged far more obviously.

OLUGBO OF UGBO KINGDOM AS THE KING OF KINGS IN YORUBALAND.

What in the world is the well respected monarch, Oba Fredrick Obateru Akinrutan, the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom looking for? Why at this time in the history of the Yorubas would he have thought to become a rabble-rouser? Why turn the known history of the Yoruba race totally upside down and try to reconstruct to fit yours or so it seem?

These are some of the questions that have been raised, as the extraordinarily​ wealthy monarch, as laid claims to been the king of all the kings in YORUBALAND.  Hear him in his exact words, "I am the leader of all Yoruba obas", a statement he is said to have made at a function openly very recently, where he went further to claim that he speaks with "thunder in his mouth".

Reiterating his points further, the monarch claims that as long as the history of the Yorubas sticks to the story that says they came from Ife, that he (meaning Ugboland) represented by the king then was the one that Oduduwa, the founder and progenitor of the Yoruba race, first met with when he came to Ife. By that assertion alone, be claims to be the original landowners then.
