WHERE DEM BOYS AT? SEEMS LIKE ALL THOSE SPENDERS HAVE GONE UNDER THE RADAR NOW!!!!

The beginning of the Police and EFCC is most obviously the beginning of wisdom now for all them boys who used to engage very much in "laulau" like they call it all of a few months ago.

It's like the minute the Police and EFCC went on rampage and started going to the clubs, lounges and joints to go arrest all of these young, highly impressionable loud spenders (by the way that's what is referred to as laulau), whose way of life, was to hit the dough (money) and then begin to show it off without a care, driving some of the biggest and latest machines in town, wearing and garbing in some of the best brands that money could afford, going to clubs with some of the most gorgeous and sexily garbed damsels that any can imagine or even lay their eyes on, spending money like drunk sailors, in such ways and manner like money was just about going out of fashion, so it should be spent like a waterfall.

All of the lavish, an extraordinarily vulgar open display of wealth seems to have subsided for a bit now, since the Police and EFCC focused attention on the more popular ones. Now it's more like they all have gone totally under the radar. We can even tell you first hand right now that the night club owners et al are all complaining of low patronage, those silly spending where boys would be competing with each other to see who can spend the most per night at a joint, which the club owners loved seems to have stopped. Imagine a bill of between 9 and 11 million by just one person on just a (1) night of revelry alone!!! So just imagine that on a good night of fun, a club/joint/lounge  could clock between 50 to 100 million Naira at the height of the debauchery and ostentatious display of wealth!!!

What that just says is that in just a weekend alone, a club might make between 50 to 150 million from these uncontrollable revellers and if you do a plus and minus in just a month, that's like carting home between 100 to 500 million a month. So the club owners were just smiling home to the banks anyhow, while the father xmases were trying to outdo each other, the joint owners were just praying that it should never end. But the minute the scrutiny began, everything nosedived drastically and they are now complaining bitterly in fact cursing the Police and EFCC men.

So where Abolo and Co? Have they all relocated to Ghana etc like it's been speculated?

The grieving father of the late Babajide Tinubu, 37, just yesterday Friday, November 3, 2017 laid to rest speculations about the immediate and remote cause of the untimely death of his first son, who had passed on a few days ago, Wednesday to be more precise.

The Asiwaju in his statement, where he paid glowing tribute to his son, said Jide passed on due to CARDIAC ARREST! The young man had slumped and given up the ghost midweek and has since being interred at the Ikoyi Cemetery.

According to the dad in his tribute, "I have suffered a grave loss" "I wish I could bring him back"!

The statement went thus- My son was a highly intelligent person with a vibrant personality and a zest for life. He followed his own course and made his own way on his own terms. Those who knew him could not help but like him. Yet, he was taken away by cardiac arrest when it seemed he had so much life to still live".

"Jide lived for so long in London and there he has left behind a darling wife and three precious boys. My wife, Remi and I have gone to London to be with them at this painful time to support and help them. Please excuse our absence from Lagos for a while, but it is essential that we are with them.

"I have suffered a grave loss that no parent would like to bear. As a father, I must spend time putting my arms around the family he has left behind. We must seek a lesson in every loss. Your reaction to my son's passing has taught me that we can be a people of profound love and humanity when we want to be. People of every tribe, region, faith and every political affiliation have expressed their sympathy and extended to me the embrace of a brother or sister.

"Even those who don't agree with me politically have shown strong support and care indistinguishable from that of my associates. This says so much about the innate goodness in all of us. For no matter what, we are not foes or enemies. We are all of one human stock, a single nation, one family.

"I wish I could bring my son back, but I cannot. However, what I can do is to be more caring and helpful to the living as I know this is what Jide would want to become of his passing".

MR COMMON SENSE SENATOR BEN MURRAY BRUCE FACES RECALL PROCESS FOR ALLEGED NON PERFORMANCE

This might not be the best of times for the very vocal Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial district in the oil rich state as constituents made up of students from the 3 local areas under his jurisdiction have threatened to recall him from non-performance since he was elected into the senate.

Senator Ben Murray Bruce has been accused by his own constituencies made up of students from Nembe, Ogbia and Brass Local Government Areas, the 3 LGAs under his senatorial district of neglect, non-performance and having no plans for their areas.

In a statement released and signed by the student leaders from the 3 local government areas, namely Ambrose Joseph from Brass, Samuel Tari from Nembe and Mark John from Ogbia, they made their grievances known to the world.

In their claims, they alleged that the very outspoken Senator since he was elected to represent them at the National Assembly has never for once visited his district. They claim that the man they voted to be their voice at the NA was not in a good relationship with his own people and that he has abdicated his constitutional responsibilities.

They buttressed their claims by saying that while the Senator donated relief materials to other parts of the state, he has neglected his first responsibility his own district, whose constitutuents are wallowing in poverty as the students are unable to pay their fees.

"Since Bruce became a Senator he has failed to look into the basic needs and challenges currently bedeviling the East Senatorial district, such as Education as most our students cannot access good quality education".

"He has failed to attract a single project to the district in terms of infrastructures, roads and others. He has continuously and delibrately ignored efforts by the people to create a working relationship that would bring out purposeful leadership for our people".

"He is yet to fulfill any of his campaign promises; painfully, he is an Abuja based Senator. He refuses to visit his constituency, except only once when he visited his hometown and couldn't even stay up to 4 hours".

"Sincerely, we are tired, other places are enjoying the benefits that come from having a national representative. Our case has been a curse rather than a blessing. We are just a district without a Senator. That is why we are intended to change that narrative".

The students consequently gave the Senator a 10 day ultimatum to either amend his ways or face a protest and recall process.

They subsequently advised the Senator to organise a town hall meeting with his constituents and take out time to tour his constituency.

Are these students making common sense at all?

THE ARDUOUS & TERRIBLY HORRIFIC JOURNEY TO ABEOKUTA VIA SANGO-OTA

Senator Ibikunle Amosun

Much as the fact was that we had a super fun time at the wedding reception of Oladipo and Ayomide Dabiri in Abeokuta, Ogun State (that's the wedding between Senator Ibikunle Amosun's daughter and the son of Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa), we missed the other 2 parts-introduction and traditional engagement due to the long journey from Lagos to Abeokuta.

The journey to getting to Abeokuta to say the least was tortuous and extremely horrible due to state of the road.

For those living along the route, from Amje which is a still part of Lagos State, going towards Sango-Ota, which is the border town and already a part of Ogun State, heading towards Ifo, still going through Papalanto heading to Ewekoro till we got to Aro then heading to Abeokuta, the roads were in a state of terrible and unbelievable disrepair. It's like those who live around those areas have lost total contact amd connect somewhat with Government and Governance!

Truth be told, we were totally and utterly disappointed, that such an area had any connection whatsoever to a former President of the nation, in person of Chief Olusegun Aremu Okikiola Obasanjo, who we hear lives in Ota and whose humongous state of the art farm is said to be in Ota also.

From our little experience on that road, it was like no Government of any kind worth her salt existed or exists along this path.

Imagine that a bridge which must have cost several millions of Naira was built at a particular portion of that road, but just 20 to 30 meters away from that bridge, the portholes on the road were of the most unkind types. One would have thought that the bridge would have meant the roads around it would have been repaired, at least to give the bridge value, but alas No!!!

The most shocking spot, that really took the wind out of us, was right along where the well known cement factory Lafarge is situated at.

Imagine that along that long stretch of road next to that world class factory was the most terrible part of the road!

The state of disrepair we saw should be a big shame to such a brand and a responsible government of any kind. How trucks and trailers etc pass along that route to enter the company to take delivery of loads of cements and then going away to go deliver is quite baffling.

Imagine that a journey, which very normally should take at most 1 hour 30 minutes could take one, about 2 to 3 hours plus, depending on the level of traffic at the time! We hear it could as horrible as 4 hours and more if there's traffic!

So what is the benefit of governance then? Especially if a major road that is used and must be used by all is allowed to get to such a level and then there's even no hope that it would be repaired?

From the looks of things, it's like those along that corridor are the forgotten and the neglected.

When Government claims that they have provided or are providing dividend of democracy for the people that brought them to power, what are these so called dividends then?

If the very obvious can so degenerate to this kind of state? What state then would the not so obvious be?
