On one side you have one of the best entertainment products/brands Nigeria has ever produced in the movie industry, in the person of the great giant with a Lionheart by the initials GN. She's is the award winning thespian extraordinaire. A super stylish mother of one at that. Whose flick caused a whole lot of brouhaha, when it was removed by a technicality from standing for one of the best international awards in 2019. On the other side we have a renowned professional, who was excellent in HR before she invested greatly in the entertainment industry where she has become an award winning colossus. She has been tagged our very own Oprah Winfrey and at the rate she's going, she would most probably become one of the richest and probably the most influential in the industry in not too long. She's not a local champion at all, as she's everyday gaining more & more international (clout) recognition by her deft moves. She's in fact one of Africa's most stylish human being alive bar none.

So like we said the mild drama unfolded at the Burna Boy sold out show at the Eko Hotel Convention Center. The place was packed out to the rafters. Those who were fortunate to have bought their tickets made crazy, easy money by reselling such tickets at exorbitant prices to willing buyers. Everyone wanted to watch the rave of the moment, the ultimate one for the season, so with demand vastly outstripping supply, the price shut up to the sky. It was at the venue of the show that 2 super stars literally clashed, though not necessarily face to face or Mano a Mano.

In Yorubaland, they call those born on the first day of a new year Abiodun. Odun' has to do with festivities, some form of celebrations or the other. For the outstandingly gorgeous Mercy Aigbe, who has really come into her own, style/fashion-wise, it's not just about celebrating a new year, this one being 2020, which is also the very beginning of a new decade, the start of the new year also always coincides with her birthday, the day Mercy emerged on this earth. Maybe it's her own way of saying it loudly that, she's living her life like it's golden, so to further buttress that point, she went ahead and made a gold dress or gown as part of her ensemble/garbs to do her birthday shoot.

Ace actress Iyabo Ojo, a dazzling single mother and one of Nigeria's best role interpreters of Yoruba origin, decided to dazzle all to no small effect as she did this shoot celebrating her clocking the good 42. She channeled, a queen or should we saw a fairy godmother in her gold flowy gown and then crowned the whole effort with a tiara.

Then in another series of shoot, she channeled a star spangled rock star in her full element in a futuristic outfit and then sat in a bathtub, with legs wide open to show her sitting with utter abandon, like who gives a f@$k! Same way those American rock stars would have done too.

Then in another much more calmer outfit and supremely gorgeous outfit that accentuated her curves well, as if she was poured into it or like liquid or molten bronze was poured on her and allowed to cool off, thereby taking the shape of her body and one hand of the outfit was made in gold lace Victorian Era style. All of the stress, just to celebrate her birthday 🎂, which was a few days back.

OUR WET TUESDAY BOMBSHELL💣 IS NONE OTHER THAN DELIGHTSOME THESPIAN-IYABO OJO

You all know who Iyabo Ojo is, so no need for doing long research or extensive fact finding, she is the "Nigerian Nollywood award winning thespian of note", more visible in the Yoruba genre of the make believe world. And she's not just a thespian though, as she has also diversified into business too-running a restaurant, boutique etc, at least to help maintain status, as there are only few in that their acting world that have transcended from make believe to actual. Nollywood on its own from our findings has bit been able to sustain the practitioners. So many have had to find other things to do, to augment. Nothing bad at all in that.

So the delightsome Iyabo is our "Tuesday bombshell" and since it's a rainy Tuesday or should we just put it more appropriately, since it's a wet-wet Tuesday, we can then say jokingly that, "see what the rains or wetness has thrown our way".

It is quite obvious that Iyabo's image makers, media people are doing their best to repackage their star client in a more stylish, more modern, more sophisticated way, far far away from the "alamala style" and image prism of yore that people used to see or view her from before. And they are really succeeding and so we must give them the kudos for getting the job done and helping our perception. It's obvious her communication is getting much better and therefore her influence would cut more across and is now broader based.

We particularly love the emotions she was able to trigger for and against herself many weeks back with that her video about her marital journey to her daughter's dad, an illiterate carpenter who she met when she was much younger and is now based in the states. It's either that recording was spontaneous and true in the whole essence or that Iyabo being a badass actress that she is with the ability to perfectly act out roles, just packaged the whole thing and people just swallowed it whole, hook, line and sinker. And any which way though, she delivered on that script. And we must applaud and sympathize with her.

SOLA SOBOWALE. IT'S HER SEASON NO DOUBT. ALL HAIL THE CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONAL

This is undoubtedly Sola Sobowale's season and she deserves every bit of accolades and more that swims her way and that's because it's like everything she touches turns to gold or better still platinum. It's very obvious from her role interpretations that she is a thespian per excellence and award winning one at that too. Super good at what she does and mighty gorgeous too, to the boot!

You watch her and you are totally consumed by her characterization, how she enters fully into what she's doing, making it all look so believable and you become engrossed and totally flow into the character with her. When she's a comic, she's utterly hilarious to the bones, when she is a goon, playing the evil lead, she is so convincing it's scary! And then when she needs to play the good part, she does it with effortless charm that sweeps all watching off their feet and bowing at her professionalism. We totally, utterly, wholeheartedly love her.

We had always known she was good before, but she stepped up from just being good to stratospheric great when we saw her in that feel good, 2 parts soar away, star-studded successful franchise-'The Wedding Party' & 'The Wedding Party 2', where she played a very huge supporting role as the hilarious wife of the equally hilarious AliBaba. From that massive budget film to another which is very likely to break the box office too, that's talking about Kemi Adetiba's 'King of Boys', which just came out. We hear she played lead in the film too and from the snippet we have viewed already, as expected, she was badass again.

Though it looks like she's been there for quite a bit, O yes she started in 1992 starring in a Yoruba classic Ashewo to re Mecca! It seems like the Ondo State indigent has only done a hand full of movies/films. She began her acting career under the tutelage of the famous Adebayo Salami, that's Oga Bello of the Awada KeriKeri Group fame. So her transition from Yoruba speaking film to full English speaking was seemless!

First of, let's tell you all categorically that Dakore Egbuson-Akande is beautiful inside and outside. And we say that with all sense of responsibility. We are not mincing words either too. And she's also a consummate professional to the core too.

On this occasion of her big 4-0, being born on October 14, 1978 we would have loved to wax exceptionally lyrical by spewing out much epistles, but we have found out that the truth doesn't need colouration at all and doesn't have to be so long and so much. Punchlines, can equally easily do the job and carry the intended weight of delivery too.

Facially and body-wise, this wife and mother, sister and aunty, child of, cousin to, niece of, friend to is as beautiful as they come, in fact what greatly adds to her own beauty is her good, gracious and very caring heart. She is a human-being in the proper sense of it, humane to the core. We have known her now for more than a decade. And we believe that length of time is enough to know someone very well to a certain deep extent and to be able to at least testify of their character. Character like it is said is like smoke, you can't hide it. Dakore is a good person!

She is also a dynamite of a talent. Many might not know that apart from acting, she was first and foremost a singer and she's equally very good at it too, just like she's is awesome as a role interpreter. She's probably one of the hardest working businesswoman/thespian we know. Ever ready to take advantage of any good business opportunities that comes her way, while still excelling as a role interpreter (thespian) too. Apart from her foray in business, farming, food processing, properties etc, she is also a noted Philanthropist who doesn't joke about it at all. Now she has added also politician to the mix.

One of her mantra for living is actually that nothing is ever impossible. She's of the opinion that if you put your mind to anything, you can achieve it and to show she puts her money where her mouth is, she recently contested for the ticket of the APC in her domain in IBADAN, Ibadan South East in Oyo State to be more precise.

And to God be the glory, the recently returned beautiful and well packaged sojourner to the holy land of Mecca and Medina actually won the ticket by defeating her rival contender by a very wide margin at that. 207 votes to 32 votes. And the resulthhas been ratified and by that she would be flying the APC flag come the next election and God willing she would add/affix the tag of Honourable member of the OYHA to her name soon after that election.
