COUNTDOWN TO YVONNE NWOSU'S NEXT BIRTHDAY. WHERE HAS SHE BEEN HIDING?

Except for maybe her instagram page which she still constantly updates, seems like the gazelle with the long legs and sultry eyes and with those sumptuously looking lips has given publicity a wide berth.

Gone seems to be those heady days, when she was always in the news every other day. But for a bit now, the very very talented and highly creative fashion designer and head honcho behind her eponymous or name sake brand-Vonne has thought to embrace more of quietude nowadays.

If it's a deliberate decision on her part, it seems like it's working and working well too. She was viewed "as one of the future of fashion at a point" and the lioness- she's August born and a feline (cat) in the true sense of the word (Leo gal) is a creative gem, whenever she's focused on the brand, churning out very nice collection that always gets very good reactions from all and sundry.

What she absolutely absolutely needs more and more, is more focus/steadfastness and consistency. For she seems to sometime drift or should we say coast for a long while after each success.

It's a countdown already to the birthday of the gorgeous fashionista and mother of one (a gorgeous teen coming into her own already). Apart from English and her native Ibo language that she speaks so dexterously, she is said to speak French too because she was born in Paris, France over 3 decades ago to a dad, a knight in the catholic church.

VONNE COUTURE'S YVONNE NWOSU ADDS A YEAR & SHE'S ON TOP OF THE WORLD!

Yvonne Nwosu is the not so shy Creative Director of her own eponymous fashion brand VONNE couture, the brand that opened the flood gate at the resurgent Arise Fashion Week 2018 a few months back.

The celebrity designer and fashionista par excellence is very well known for her quite quirky in your face style, which normally always always sets tongues wagging in excitement. She has a way about doing good combos and taking great pictures at the same time too.

The French speaking and statuesque mother of one, is a year older today 08/08/18 and to mark the beautiful day, the unrepentant and proud lioness is roaring very loudly with excitement with a few of her good friends all having a super swell time as we speak in far way idyllic Turkey. The choice of Istanbul Turkey as the ideal spot to celebrate, is obviously well thought out. For those who do not know, Istanbul Turkey is the middle point between Europe and Asia, while it is a fantastic place for business people who do not want to go as far as China, it is also a very, quite exotic at that, holiday spot too. In fact the 2 very distinct cultures of Europe and Asia meet inside the state, so it's like having the best of both worlds in just one place.

WHERE IS YVONNE NWOSU? AS THE GORGEOUS DESIGNER SEEM TO HAVE GONE TOTALLY INCOGNITO!

The tall, light, sex siren, super stylish designer who is the founder of VONNE Couture seem to have become scarce like essential commodities. Of late, we haven't seen much of her, especially at most of those events/occasions that you would have normally expected that she would grace with her effervescent presence.

It's been unlike her not to attend the Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2017, which held a few weeks back, we also looked out for her specially at the GTBFSHNWKND 2017 which held a few weeks after the Heineken event, but still yet, she was nowhere to be found. It's like a deliberate attempt to be incognito and to be off the radar!

Even as recent as this weekend, we had expected to see her, all bright, beautiful and gorgeous, dazzling us with her quirky style like she's known to do quite often, at any of the events that held, especially the  awesome"Hennessy Artistry event", on Saturday where many of her friends were in attendance, but alas no!

A bird who is most likely to know whispered into our ear quietly, hinting that maybe the very in your face Yvonne might have decided to travel around the world Dubai, maybe Paris, the US etc, having a great time while also getting inspired for her next collection for her fashion brand-Vonne Couture!

Maybe the sweet lady, has thought to imbibe the time honoured philosophy which many have sworn by without issues, which is "Less is more". What that just says is that the less, a bit more scarce one is, the more your value rating becomes in the eyes and mind of people", especially those that count. Or maybe!!!! Is it L.O.V.E? Another thing that can make one recoil sumptuously into a coil, can be love. Has Yvonne fallen in love?

Though we love that she might have taken this new self assured path maybe towards better self discovery, we have missed her and would want to see a bit more of her though.

So Yvonne dearie, come back into our consciousness, our yummy darling dearest!!!!!!

Her royal lioness/gorgeousness Yvonne Nwosu aka VONNE of VONNE Couture is our delightsome eye candy today.

The unrelenting fashionista, designer and socialite, always knows how to get the right attention. Her style 98% of the time always leaves us googled eyed.  She loves to take pictures and loves the attention she gets from it. Not too many are photogenic, but Yvonne seem to have an understanding of light and the side that soothes her best.

Tall, elegant and light and absolutely full of energy, she is a true Leo lioness, who exudes much intoxicating sex appeal, you either love her or loathe her, but you cannot just ignore her.

HOW TO ROCK THE WHITE SHIRT IN 5 DIFFERENT WAYS BY YVONNE NWOSU

Yvonne Nwosu is the gorgeous lady behind the Vonne Couture line based in Lagos. The fashionista par excellence very recently was on the pages of This Day style magazine showing style mavens how to rock the must have white shirt, a staple in any fashionistas worth their salt's wardrobe. Yvonne showed how to wear one and same shirt in 5 different but very stylish ways- Rock chic, flirtatious, corporate elegance, sporty and girl next door.


The style shoot was done by the incredibly talented Reze Bonna and the gorgeous and leggy Yvonne styled herself.

NIGERIAN DESIGNERS SET TO STORM GHANA FOR THE GFDW 2013

This year's edition of the Ghana Fashion & Design Week 2013, which is the 2nd edition ever would have plenty of Nigerian flavour in the mix. At least about 6 Nigerian fashion brands based in Lagos & another owned by a UK/Accra based Nigerian would be part of the 3 days showcase. 


The Nigerian brands are Vonne Couture with Yvonne Nwosu as the Creative Director, she was recently at the Kenya Fashion Week in Nairobi, where we heard she had a fabulous showcase, the others are Trish 'O' couture, House of Marie and Modella B. Three out of the 7 brands would just be exhibiting their wares- these brands are Design for Love, Nichole by Haguanna & Jodi B. 

Event date is from Friday, October 11 to Sunday, October 13, 2013. The 2 days fashion showcase would hold at the Movenpick Hotel, Independence Avenue, Accra, Ghana on the 11th & 12th. While on Sunday, there's the invite only VIP Evening, where there would be loads of fashion & champagne. Venue for the VIP evening is the gorgeous Villa Monticello. 

On Monday, October 14, 2013 which is the spill over day of the GFWD 2013, the fashion week would come to an official climax with the pop-up showroom at the Viva Boutique at their Osu Branch, from 11AM - 4.30 PM.

Some of the sponsors for this year's show includes Moet & Chandon, Villa Monticello, Organic Root Stimulator, SO Aesthetics and Largess Affair.

Maestro's Media would be on ground to bring the week's proceedings your way in living colour.

Yvonne Nwosu of Vonne Couture to unveil Ready-To-Wear collection at this years Kenya Fashion Week

 Lagos, Nigeria - Womenswear designer, Yvonne Nwosu will be showcasing her latest collection "Tambour Africain" for the first time at the 4th season of the Kenya Fashion Week 2013. She will be one of this year’s finest international designers handpicked to have her couture pieces grace the runway at the Sub Saharan fashion show.

Celebrated for her usual bold and audacious designs, Miss Nwosu hopes to bring some vivacity to the event with her newest collection. Being inspired by African wildlife, strength and courage, she uses a combination of leather, ankara, and chiffon materials to create what she hopes lovers of fashion will interpret as a fiery, melodramatic collection with hints of sensuality. Her aim is to "get people to visualise the raw, robust yet beautiful and romantic natural settings Africa has to offer when they see my new designs".

As creative director and designer behind the brands Vonne & Vonne Couture, Yvonne Nwosu hopes whilst she delivers something new and exciting to the world of fashion this year, she stays true to her principles and still offers her classic womanly silhouettes throughout the Tambour Africain collection.

YVONNE NWOSU & ICE PRINCE BREAK-UP?

There supposed love affair was celebrated to high heavens very recently on the pages of online platforms. It was like a perfect love match of 2 artists, one a celebrated music artist, signed on to Chocolate City, where MI & Jesse Jegz are also label mates. While Yvonne Nwosu, is the celebrated upcoming designer, who is the creative director at Vonne Couture. 

The love relationship was so hot!hot!! that the lovers didn't give a hoot anyone knowing. Yvonne especially didn't mind the whole world knowing, as she openly showed off the affair on her instagram page, telling whoever cared to know, to eat their heart out. Now after only a few weeks, something seem to have changed, the once burgeoning love, might have since hit the rock, at least judging by a tweet from Yvonne very recently, where she stated ''I' m single, sexy and loving it!!! A new Ken for this Barbie...Maybe..

Some keen observers who had watched the supposed love relationship develop, had thought from the word go it wasn't planned to last, the people had thought it was just a passing phase for the 2, now that it seemed to have hit the rock, many are now saying they were right from the word go. 

According to the little snippets we were able to get, Yvonne might have thought to let go of the love, so as to focus more on her 1st love, which is designing. For Ice-Prince, it might just be the story of another one bites the dust, so its on to the next for him.
