BOMB SCARE AT THE PALMS TODAY

We were at the Palms shopping complex this morning Thursday, May 16, 2013 hoping to browse around inside the Game to see if there was any bargain to enjoy, only for us to meet the doors closed and no explanations given whatsoever. Thinking that they might be having a stock taking or whatever it was they were doing, we moved on. The next thing we saw was that Shoprite was shutdown too and many security personnel moving here and there, by the time we inquired to know what was amiss, we found out that there had been a bomb scare, that had been quickly contained. Some Policemen had come around, either from the bomb squad and had made away with a supposed suspected package. 

Not wanting to just take it with a pinch of salt, we saw a few gun-totting and very alert Policemen near the main door, using style to check people going in and out without stopping them. Apart from the 2 mega stores that were quickly shutdown, the only other one that took precaution and didn't open was the Jewelry store near the Polo showroom. We saw a few of those working for brands near Shoprite gathering in circles and gisting about what was happening.
