2 exceptional brands, both lifestyle brands. One a world renowned liquor brand- Martell, the other a top fashion house based in Nigeria, but with ideas to conquer the international fashion market; To make their presence known more officially, Martell the famous cognac brand & Kinabuti had a lifestyle collaboration very recently, it was at the tail end of last month, April 25, 2013 to be more precise. The event was tagged- Milan Fashion Week 2013, sponsored by Martell. The brand-Martell is undoubtedly one of the best cognac houses in the world and is owned by Pernod Ricard.
The venue of the occasion was the Italian consulate on the Island, the event was graciously hosted by the Italian Consulate General in Nigeria, Mr Stefano De Leo and in attendance were the creme de la creme of the society. While Martell was being officially introduced to the Nigerian market & connoisseurs of excellent cognacs (those who appreciate drinking the golden blend more commonly referred to as brandy, but better referred to as cognac), Kinabuti had a showcase of their new season's collection, tagged Vlisco's Carnival in the desert, which got massive applauds from those in attendance. One of the pictures of their model failing on the catwalk had particularly trended round the world in the past week, coincidentally the Martell slogan states ''Rise above with style'', the young model graciously got up and finished her walk in the true spirit of the Cognac's slogan. Truth be told, the Kinabuti brand has grown in leaps and bounds in recent times. We especially love that they are always connected to the best brands around. Kudos to Caterina Bortolussi, the creative director at Kinabuti & her exceptional team for a job well-done.
We have a few pictures of the happenstances & also the fashion showcase for your viewing delight. Check 'em out!
