In Salute of the Highly revered monarch, The Oba of Benin.
It's only just one year since the coronation of his royal Majesty the King, Oba Ewuare II, saluted as one of the most revered monarch in the whole of Africa and whose stool is also so revered it doesn't allow for any controversies whatsoever. "Omo N'OBA N'EDO Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II", being the full title and name, is The Oba of the great Benin Kingdom and the revered leader of the proud and historic Bini people of Edo State.
There's the common saying that has become the stuff of legend, where it is commonly said that "Oba no dey leave the Palace", this connotes that at any time the king steps out of his palace, it has to be for only very very important reasons and functions, his is not the stool where, he is just seen just about anywhere and everywhere, just for any reason. So the king and by extension his stool is not taken for granted, neither is it seen as being cheap and therefore very very highly respected.
The current king who took over the baton from his late father, the great Omo N'oba Erediauwa, who reigned from 1979 till 2016 that is 36 long years; has since he came on board and became the King of the Benin empire added a new modern twist to the throne. Just imagine this photoshoot of him and not just him alone, it includes his royal harem and gorgeous kids too!
This shoot was part of the celebration and commemoration of his one year reign on the throne of his forefathers.
