THAT GRAND 50TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION OF GRACE OSIME.

It was a 'super' duper Grand 50th birthday party/celebration of the super gorgeous Grace Osime at 12 Temple yesterday, Monday, August 26, 2019.

The venue of the very well attended Monday evening party is owned by the current Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Dr. Dapo Abiodun who is a good friend of the family.  12 Temple as the place is referred to, used to be the meeting & melting point of the who-is-who & very well heeled, before the Governor now went fully into politics and came out as the Governor of Ogun State, which is the 2nd most visible South-Western state in Nigeria. The place is a top notch event venue for top class gatherings.

According to those who attended the Monday classy shindig- "it was an off the hook party by all standards". The guest even said it themselves, "that it was a grand party with all the works". Meaning Grace, the incredibly well mannered, mother of one super smart daughter, made sure no stone was left unturned to host her high caliber guests and family members to a super party.

From the live band to the highly inspired deejay and things. With the choicest of food and drinks in abundance. The guest-list had all the usual suspects of her friends, friends of friends, friends of her big sister and younger sister in attendance. The style maven by name Ruth Osime who is the Editor of This Day Style and the elder sister of the celebrant was in her element as she and others heartily celebrated her younger sibling. She really moved to the beat, showing off her dexterity on the dance floor. It is obvious that the family is a close knit one in everyway.

As expected the birthday lady known to be very very stylish-we can even testify to that fact personally too, some even already refer to her as a style icon, dazzled like a thousand stars on her day as she was the cynosure of all eyes. Said to be a 'gem' trader of high repute, the super stylish lady, whose badass shoe collection is to die for, we even heard that it can rival any fashionistas worth their salt from any part of the world, was very on point and must have spent quite a lot to make this party happen.

Earlier in the day, prior to the evening/night classy party, the family and friends had gone to the church to do a special thanksgiving in celebration of Grace's 50th. Then later in the evening was the gathering of eagles to dance and make merry as they back-slapped & clinked glasses with bubbly hailing Grace.

From us here at MM, we say a very sincere Happy birthday to the Lady Grace. Long may you live in good health & sound mind.

Birthday gal was the epitome of chic in her all black outfit.

Obviously it was the party to be at on the day. We already told you all that at least 3 sitting Governors were part of the guests. According to those who were there, the party was a smash hit and people were still at the venue rocking and having fun till as late as 4am the next day. 


There were many of the guests that we didn't cover in our earlier report. You all already know that the This Day Style Editor, Ms. Ruth Osime clocked the big 5-0 last week Friday, February 7, 2014. And to celebrate her Jubilee year, she invited friends, family members, staff members and more to a classy shindig that held at the Red Carpet Hall, in Lekki Area on the Island. To have 3 sitting Governors of powerful states in Nigeria at your birthday is no joke at all, supported by at least 2 first ladies- Dame Abimbola Fashola & Mrs. Obioma Liyel Imoke of Cross Rivers.


To show that she's a jolly good 'fellow' or should we use 'chapess', people from all over came to celebrate our very dear own ''Anna Wintour''. Like we had said before or predicted before, it was a who-is-who gathering, made up of the young, the young at heart, and some not so young ones. 

Some of those that we saw at the party were the likes of Governors Babatunde Fashola of Lagos, Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers & Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta. From the little report we got, it was a first class shindig all the way, so much to drink & munch, with good music blasting all the way, making many still believe they are still very young. So much fun was it that we had people were still there till the wee hours of the morning. It was also a fashion fest sort of for the ladies, all looking good for the red carpet, knowing fully well they would be photographed. Birthday darling had 2 changes of outfits, first was a white outfit & 2nd was a black one, we totally love her short hair do, took years away from her. The delighted one showed her dexterity on the dance floor in joy to the admiration of all. No matter how or what anyone thinks, as long as you are happy with yourself, no one can dampen your spirit. Way to go Ruth. Many more great years ahead.

THE ICONIC RUTH OSIME HITS 5O, SET FOR A BANGER OF A PARTY THIS WEEKEND

This Friday, February 7, 2014 just 7 days to the date most know as Valentine's day (how she missed coming on the 14th must have been a disappointment), the indefatigable style guardian (some call her Nigeria's own Anna WIntour) Ruth Osime of ThisDay Style, who some of us have tagged the iconic one would hit the big 5-0. Wow!!! That surely calls for a big celebration.  Yeh !Yeh!! Don't stop salivating yet, Yes! There's going to be a big party. At least a couple of hundreds would gather.


Hitting 50 is no joke you know, and hitting it while still at the top of your game adds more to the fun. So the social atmosphere in Lagos, the fun capital of Nigeria is going to be at its most exciting come this Saturday, February 8, 2014. All the fashionistas worth their salt or should we saw onions would gather on that Saturday, from about 6pm when the red carpet should have begun at the posh venue known to all as the Red Carpet Hall, located at nos. 9, Oniru Main Road, Lekki, Eti Osa, Lagos, same road where RCCG, City of David is on. You all must get ready for the sure to happen style battle to out do each other on the style stake. We are already betting that all the guests, both male and female would be in their Saturday's best, from casual elegance to their dinner's best and more, most surely all would do their best to put their best foot forward.

It's surely going to be a place to be at, all for the elegant one-Ruth Osime. So her friends the likes of Nkiru Anumudu, Vivienne Chioloji, Grace Egbagbe, Adeola Adewunmi, Deola Bali, Furo Hart, Nikky Ogbuefi etc and the friends of her sisters-Grace Osime & Omome Oloyede and many others would be gathering to celebrate their own. 

We had heard from the grapevine though unconfirmed, that the organisers of the shindig had suggested that the party be held abroad, but since more of the people would be available here, reasons made them change their minds.

So if you have gotten your invite or expecting to get one, then we would see on Saturday. Cheers!!!
