By all intent and purpose he and by that we mean our very own Mr. Irresistible 'RMD', just in case you had forgotten what that initials actually stands for, it is 'Richard Mofe Damijo'. But in full effect, his name is actually Richard Eyimofe Evans (his is with the s, not Evan like Senator Evan, so there's no controversy about that) Damijo.
The Aladja community, Udu kingdom, Warri, Delta State born tall, suave, stylish, handsome, young, graceful & fine dude par excellence, friend of the well-heeled and ladies man is our very own 'Richard Gere' or is it 'George Clooney' or better still hunk unparallel Brad Pitt. All of these 3 quite handsome men mentioned here are iconic or revered Hollywood thespians of note, who are also majorly noted for their [finess] & for better still, dashing good looks and style. They combine excellence at work with super good looks and are 3 of the best, in fact world reknowned role interpreters, who are also highly reputed for their magnetic sex appeal, meaning they are heartthrobs. That is who or is one of the things that RMD represents to us Nigerians too.
In fact, he is rated by most, a vast majority at that, to be our greatest heartthrob of all time bar none. He is one fine boy (that's if one can or one is allowed to call someone that's near 60 a boy) that knows and revels humbly in it.
Since he came to our consciousness a long while ago, spanning about 3 decades or more now, especially since the heydays of Ripples in the 80s, that soar away series of years past, he has held our heart since then spellbound, as he titillates us with his abundant talent, we see and applaud and appreciate his progress and we marvel and thank God for such a gift like him.
He is not just a fine boy with the required gait and mannerisms added alone, but he is also blessed with the gift of the garb. Maybe that particular gift comes with the territory. Him being a Warri boy, a place noted for its fun package and funny language might have added to all that he is too. Then also to garnish it fully or near perfectly, he also understands style seemingly effortlessly and therefore, a good disciple and apostle of panache.
The award winning actor/theater artist has featured in more than 300 movies/films & won (AMVCA best actor, AMVCA Lifetime Achievement awardee) and many other outstanding awards, journalist- apart from his stint with the then Concord Newspaper, he was also the editor of MR then our Nigerian version of the world acclaimed GQ, lawyer since 2004, husband, father of Five-3 gals & 2 boys, friend and more clocked the quite young age of 59, that's just one year more to reach 60 yesterday, that is on 06/07/2020 and friends, admirers, associates, family members, fans, followers etc, just couldn't allow the day pass by quietly and it was a major outpouring, in fact an avalanche or should we say torrential downpour of unabating goodwill messages, backslapping, commendations and more for the jolly good fellow, who is very well loved by all.
And the grateful former Special Assistant to the then Governor of Delta State that's talking about his excellency Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, before he later went on to become the Commissioner for Culture & Tourism of the same state, under the same adminstration, reveled in being celebrated. Truth be told, he deserved all that came his way and more.

For he that waters, must also be watered too, so no wonder many came from all around, virtually though bearing buckets loads of water to water him too! He has been an inspiration to so many, especially many of those today who have become household names as noted comedians/Mcees. He is not joked with by most of them at all as he had helped in their career advancement of progress one way or the other without demanding nothing, hence the unbridled avalanche of goodwill from that sector that poured magnificently his way.
It has been an eventful 5 decades and 9 for the dude so far. He has been married twice, 1st to the late adorable May Ellen Ezekiel, the publisher of Classique Magazine who passed on many years back and then since the year 2000 to the adorable Jumobi Mofe Damijo nee Jumobi Adegbesan who was famous then with AIT.
The fine boy father and Grandfather celebrated his wonderful day by releasing loads of very beautiful pictures above, that shows how gracefully the young man has grown, like a fine wine well managed in its cask, so when poured out it has aged great and tastes super smooth. .
