PRINCE TIJANI ONIRU ONE OF THE SONS OF THE LATE OBA ABIODUN IDOWU ONIRU, FORMER ONIRU OF IRULAND ATTACKED BY THUGS! .

One just hopes that all is well and okay in Iruland or better still in the Oniru domain, judging by that attack on Prince Tijani Oniru, better known to all simply as TJ, the other quiet younger brother of his more famous elder sibling Aremo Adesegun Abiodun Oniru, the former Commissioner for Housing and later Waterfront & Infrastructural Development Lagos under the administration of Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN between 2007 & 2011, but he had been a special adviser first, to the then Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2005.

Both quite well to do men, are 2 out of the well known sons of the late former Royal father of Oniru, that's talking about the late Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru, the late Oniru of Iruland, who passed away in 2019. The late Oba is reputed to have helped to bring a lot of development to his domain as it is today from just a swamp, which is now rated in Lagos to be a prime (valued) expanse of land now.

TJ who incidentally is the Opemoluwa & Oluwo Ejiwe of Iruland, was attacked yesterday afternoon, that is Sunday, July 5, 2020 by a sizeable number of guys/thugs who were not less than 10 in front of a gate around Oniru!  

We do not know for now what must have caused or sparked or started the avoidable altercation, which led to him being slapped and then hit on severally by what was like a mob hell-bent on causing more grievous body harm as seen in the video above. But what was quite obvious for all to see was that his attackers wore identical polo shirts with a logo (which we later confirmed to be that of the palace of the new Oniru) & security boldly emblazoned on it. And from the video above one could hear as they were claiming that he had come to attack them, which is odd! So they decided to act like savages against one person!

While we are not in any way and for any reason at all, holding brief for the quite well to do real estate multi-millionaire, we are somewhat shocked, that he would have wanted for any reason to attack anyone, as he was obviously alone, all by himself in the video against a mob that wanted to harm him and even with a police man seen in the video wearing camouflage, but carrying a gun obviously on the side of the mob. What if he too had his people around him? It could have turned into some blood letting obviously!

If not that at a point, the prince who might have quickly understood the adage that "a ram that has taken deliberate backward steps, might have done such to gain momentum" as he had to quickly scamper inside after first standing his ground, maybe the situation could have even turned dicey!

We just hope that whatever it was that was the issue or that is raging, that dialogue would be engaged and issues would be solved amicably, before things would turn awry!

It's not even up to a full month yet, that a new Oniru of Iruland was crowned to take over as the Royal father in charge of one of Lagos state most prime real estate areas.

Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru, who ascended the throne in 1995 after his dad had died in 1984 at the age 120, passed on late last year 2019 at age 82. He had reigned for exactly 24 years. His 1st son, Aremo Adesegun Oniru, former Commissioner for Water Front Development & Infrastructure had wanted to succeed him, but it didn't quite happen like that, as another former Commissioner was picked instead to become the new monarch.
