THE D-DAY IS FINALLY HERE AS NASS ELECTS PRINCIPAL OFFICERS FOR THE 9TH ASSEMBLY.

Ndume vs Lawan

Hon. Femi GBAJABIAMILA

This is what is called the day of reckoning. The day that at the end, some would celebrate, while others would agonize over their loss or decimation. For some their electoral values would soar, whilst for the others they would be brought down to ground zero, all they had thought they had would be laid bare before them as others would determine their fates.

Today, Tuesday, June 11, 2019 just a day to the newly endorsed Nigerian democracy day June 12, the day that commemorates what is said to have marked the freest and fairest election ever held in the history of Nigeria, as symbolized by the late Aare Ona Kakanfo, Bashorun MKO Abiola of blessed memory, is when the Nigerian National House of Assembly, would gather to elect their own principal officers to guide them for the next 4 years, God willing. It would be a case of first amongst equals.

A few of those posts that officers would be elected for are, the offices of the Senate President of the Federation & his Deputy, the Speaker of the house of assembly and his Deputy, and other officers and other offices like majority and minority leaders. But the most important ones are the 1st 4 mentioned above. Not only are those offices quite lucrative financially, but the holders of those revered offices immediately becomes the 3rd and 4th in hierarchy of power and influence in the country the minute they get elected.

The ruling party the APC who normally should have had a field day picking those officers to man those important offices just because of the majority they are supposed to have, have not been able to have an outright say, just because they have not succeeded in having a peaceful house. For the APC it's already a divided home and like it is rightly said, "a house divided against itself cannot stand". It's obvious that the APC house is already doing her best to fight all the very obvious signs of disintegration. By their antics they have served into the hands of their enemies, the opposition made up majorly of those that had disgruntly left their party back to the PDP.

With this election today, it is PDP's own way of getting back their own pound of flesh with the obvious connivance of some members of the APC, who the more staunch or loyal APC members, considers desperate politicians. The arch enemies of the APC, are clandestinely led by the PDP presidential candidate at the last election, in the person of his excellency, the former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who is still hell bent on claiming what he claims to be his electoral victory that was illegally snatched from him. Others in the same camp are the likes of the former and most recent senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki who with the former speaker, Hon. Dogara had led a sort of coup against their own party's preferred choices in 2015 to emerge as both the senate president and the speaker of the house. Though Dogara was fortunately able to return as an opposition member of the House of Representatives, his main man, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki was unfortunately trounced at the elections and couldn't return back to the house of assembly. Even as he is not in the house, he still has his many men in the house to do his bidding, led especially by outspoken and highly comedic Senator Dino Melaye, the forner Chairman of the Committee on the FCT.

While the core APC members are supporting the candidacy of majority leader Senator Lawan-North, Senator Omo-Agege-South-South and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila-South-West, the renegade APC members and the PDP, are in full support of Senator Ali Ndume-North, Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago-North. Both Ndume and Bago are incidentally also from the APC, but are seen as turncoats for not following the party's hierarchy dictate.

The election is to be done by a simple majority vote carries the day. So if what the PDP has planned works, it would mean that the whole PDP caucus in the house would vote enmasse for Ndume and Bago, with some members of the APC following suit, by that simple calculation they would have just carried the day. But with the wheeling and dealing expected to have taken place, with the awesome amount of money exchanging hands and also deals brokered to facilitate the winning, it wouldn't be just simple mathematics just like that. Hence everyone is watching to see the outcome at the end of the day.

The other shortfall of the outcome of this election, would be that, the so called powerful men, who could make the impossible things happen through their connect and power to deal, would be known at the end of the day. Just like the paperweights too would be revealed to all, in due course.

HAS PMB FINALLY MADE HIS CHOICE FOR SENATE PRESIDENT PUBLIC? WOULD IT BE SENATOR AHMAD LAWAN FOR THE SENATE & HON. FEMI GBAJABIAMILA FOR THE SPEAKER SHIP?

Senator Ahmad Lawan

Hon. Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila

The ruling party are doing all they can to prevent thunder from striking twice at the National Assembly over the choice of leadership for the next session of the house, at both the upper and the lower houses.

The sting of the manuevres, which some have likened to a coup that had installed the outgoing leadership of both Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and Speaker, Hon. Yakubu Dogara wouldn't be forgotten in a hurry and most likely can never ever be forgotten. In 2015 while the APC was still dragging their feet thinking they had all the time in the world to pick and install their anoited as leaders of the Houses, members of their own party led by wily Senator Saraki and Hon. Dogara like thieves in the night, with the active connivance of the opposition party, gave everyone a rude shock, that nearly gave many heart attacks, when those not slated to lead the house were voted in as leaders of the assembly and from that moment onward the schism that nearly tore the party and the NASS apart began.

Much as the APC on the other side, tried to scheme out, the APC that operated the so called coup in connivance with the PDP, they met a super smart opponent(s), who embarrassed them at each move and turn,  and in fact outsmarted them all the way. So now to avoid falling in to the same pit twice, they seem to have resolved to make hay, while the sun is still shining properly.

The leadership of the APC led by the Chairman of the party in the person of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State met with the APC house of assembly elects only yesterday and advised that all the leadership positions available in the houses must be filled by members of the party alone except for the ones that the opposition should occupy by right. He especially emphasized that those to be elected also must be loyal party members alone. For the Federal House of Representatives, it seems that the preferred candidate, in fact the anointed one for the Speakership position again is the brilliant lawyer and lawmaker, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, who is the current house majority leader of the outgoing lower house. For the post of who would become the 3rd most powerful man in the country, it seems like everything is again pointing at the same man, that the party had proposed to make the Senate President in 2015, in the person of distinguished gentleman Senator Ahmad LAWAN. But he would have a battle at hand as he must contend with a fellow party man, Senator Ali Ndume.

Senator Ahmad Lawan himself has finally come out to show interest in occupying the post and to lead the 9th session of the National Assembly starting from June 2019. For Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, he has never hidden the fact that he wants to lead the House of Representatives as her speaker. He had thought he was coasting home to victory in 2015, only to be blindsided and beaten by an 8 votes margin the last time, when Hon. Yakubu Dogara and cohorts outsmarted him winning by 182 to 174  votes.

Though the Chairman of the APC at a meeting with all the APC elected Assembly members yesterday, Monday, March 25, 2019 had come out to show his personal support for Senator Ahmad Lawan from Yobe, that endorsement by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole might not have gone well with everyone, especially another Senator, in the person of distinguished Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, who has come out to kick against Oshiomhole's endorsement of the former. Senator Ali Ndume is in fact a fellow member of the ruling party the APC from Borno. The APC have the numerical advantage in both HOUSES on the coming 9th Assembly and want to use the advantage well. Senator Ali Ndume was the former House Majority Leader whom Ahmad Lawan took over from after he was suspended at upper house for 6 months and was removed as Majority leader. He would be 59 come November 20, 2019. He had his OND & HND from Kaduna Poly in 1980 & 82 respectively. He got his B.Ed & M.Ed from the University of Toledo Ohio in 1990, Magna Cum Laude. He has been at the National Assembly for 16 years now, since 2003 as a member of the House of representatives then as a Senator since 2011. So he has the requisite experience needed too. He was formerly of the ANPP then the PDP & now the APC.  From the ensuing scenario, the ruling party had better handle their situation well or they might just allow the same situation that messed them up in 2015 to rear up its ugly head all over again. A house already divided against itself like they say, cannot stand the wiles, schemes, trickery and moves of an opposition/enemy that is very smart too but with its back already to the wall. So they are desperate and wouldn't mind to scatter everything. In fact they can even begin to preach that the House of Assembly is not about party affiliations, but about men and woman who can pick whomsoever they want as leaders.

Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, 60, was born January 12, 1959. He is currently the Senate majority leader and an APC Member from Yobe North in Yobe State. He has been a member of the National Assembly since 1999 till date, that's 20 years straight. He is a graduate of the University of Maiduguri, Borno State with a B.Sc in Geography 1984, he has a Masters in Remote Sensing from the ABU, Zaria 1990, then he also has a Doctorate in Remote Sensing from Cranfield University, UK 1996. He moved from the House of representatives to the Upper house.

For Hon. Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila, 56, he was born June 25, 1962 so would be 57 come this June just around the time the 9th Assembly would commence. This would be his 5th term in the House, where he has done exemplarily and commendably well. He has represented his Surulere 1 Federal Constituency super well and by extension his party. The trained lawyer, who owns law chambers in both Nigeria and America has had a great 2 decades of experience in the House, where at a point he sponsored the highest number of bills by any legislator. He is always a delight a hear. Were he to become the Speaker of the 9th house, then the House would he the good for it.

ABDULRAHAMAN ABDULRAZAQ OF THE APC WINS BY NEARLY 3 ATIMES THE VOTE OF RAZAK ATUNWA.

Abdulrahaman AbdulRazaq

The final nail was hammered in with ferocity, in Kwara State on the political career of the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki as the last vestige of his influence was extinguished & expunged as the results of the Gubernatorial election and state House of assembly elections have finally come but still awaiting final ratification and declaration by the official umpire, the INEC.

From the results from all of the 16 local government areas of the state declared, the ruling party, that's the PDP were summarily pulverized, nearly annihilated and unimaginably pummelled to submission with no answers whatsoever. Though there was unexpected voter apathy, those who still came out, voted massively for the APC giving the new bride of the people, Abdulrahaman AbdulRazaq as much as 331,546 votes in all against the paltry 114,754 for Hon. Razak Atunwa of the PDP, with the APC winning with as much a margin as 216,792 votes. The total vote of the APC nearly tripling that of the PDP, it was a humbling of the meanest order.

With the outstanding win, which some would tag a landslide by Alhaji Abdulrahaman AbdulRazaq of the APC, a new dawn has been ushered in, in Kwara State and every hold of Saraki on power in the state has now been wiped out. It's like it's a totally new beginning, a new dawn. What that actually says then, should be a lesson for everyone, to never ever forget that in politics, especially in a democracy your power lies in the people and their support, once you have lost them and they find an alternative to you, then you are a goner.

And that's a lesson also for the Governor designate too, Alhaji Abdulrahaman AbdulRazaq that he had better be with the people and have them as his top priority or else in 4 years to come too, he himself could become another has been. This is so because the people have now come to understand that the power lies with them.

Congratulations to the winner and to the entire Kwara people. May all your wishes and desires come true.

WOULD THE OTO GE (ENOUGH IS ENOUGH) TSUNAMI SWEEP OFF RAZAK ATUNWA'S AMBITION TO RULE KWARA STATE?

Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki

Razak Atunwa

Abdulrahaman AbdulRazaq

A major whirlwind or better still hurricane Oto ge (it's enough) or should we even call it Tsunami of unprecedented power swept through Kwara State some days back and in the aftermath of her move, the PDP structure in the State, led by its leader, the outgoing Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and others holding Senatorial positions like him and even those that were in the lower house before and those in his party who wanted to go to the lower house were all swept away and dumped on their asses.

The defeat was totally unprecedented and embarrassing. And just because of the manner and way that defeat came, the PDP structure in the state, that had been brimming with over confidence before, have since been suffering from jitters! Now with the upset and removal of Saraki, would the Tsunami momentum continue as the Gubernatorial election in the state beckons?

Prior to the Presidential and Federal house of assembly elections, those who had been watching Kwara politics keenly had thought that both the APC and the PDP had a 50-50 chance of coming tops at the up coming election, to pick who would rule the state for another 4 years. Although prior to the Tsunami that swept through the state and caused a major avalanche, many had given the ruling party a slight chance above the APC of nicking it, maybe because people gave them the strength based on the power of incumbency. With the state Governor being a PDP person to the core and the supposed strongman of Politics in the state, in the person of Senator Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki being a PDP man, many had thought the PDP in the state had a slight advantage above all others. But the supposed advantage came to nought at the last election and the loss has totally demystified whatever hold Saraki and cohorts seem to have on his people. And so the advantage they seemed to have had before which gave them some confidence has since been lost! If the leader couldn't win his own election in a much smaller area, can he then lead his boy to win his in an election that would cover the whole state?

So now that the Gubernatorial election is upcoming in only a week and the PDP aspirant/contestant Atunwa is a known protégé of Dr. Bukola Saraki, how would their well known relationship, affect the chances of Hon. Razak Atunwa, Saraki's political son in whom he is well pleased, especially as the people of the state seem to want to totally cut off and dissociate themselves from anything that has to do with the Saraki political dynasty in Kwara? Is their brotherhood or connection an advantage or a disadvantage now?

So are we expecting a easy ride for the APC Aspirant, Abdulrahaman AbdulRazaq? We doubt it. Though the PDP were dazed before to near comatose level. The 2 weeks interval between the elections has given the PDP, the opportunity to close ranks quickly and to correct their self inflicted mistakes. Saraki himself would be doing all he can in his power now to make sure he isn't totally disgraced out of power. This would be Operation let's at least save face small. So overconfidence on the part of the APC, could become their Achilles heel, if care is not taken. Just like the PDP in Lagos are trying to throw all they can, spanners, screw-driver, nails etc to clog and stop the wheel of progress in Lagos, the PDP in Kwara state, would literally do all that is humanly possible to up turn that Tsunami that has swept through their state. So we should await a very keenly fought election battle, come March 9, 2019.

Who would win though at the end? Looking through our crystal ball, we see a new order being ushered into the state. There's a man for the job and the people of the state already knows who that is...... Major thing is, no one can ever take the state and her people for granted no more!!!!

WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY NOW OVER, WHITHER NOW DR. BUKOLA SARAKI?

Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki

Now that the Presidential Primary of the PDP is over and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has become the PDP's flagbearer winning against the likes of Aminu Tambuwal and Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, what's the next step for the President of the Senate? At least now, there wouldn't or shouldn't be any more excuse for the National Assembly not to convene any more!

Either he must have bought a Senate form secretly and would now use it to go back to the upper House or the person who must have won the ticket would now step down for him or he would be on his way to some form of political oblivion, at least that much is left to be seen now.

We only just hope that now that the excuse(s) to engage in politics is now over, the House of Assembly, both the upper and lower houses would now resume legislation and allow the country move forward.

Dr. Bukola Saraki, one of the PDP Presidential aspirant could only muster 317 votes out of the overall 3221 that was possible. The 317 votes was not even up to 25% of the votes that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar polled, showing he was a paperweight in the scheme of things, even the Governor of Sokoto, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal had more than twice SARAKI'S votes.

SENATE PRESIDENT & PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANT OF THE PDP DR. BUKOLA SARAKI DECLARES WAR ON ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU BOASTS ABOUT HAVING THE CURE, THE PANACEA TO DEAL WITH THE LAGOS GODFATHER!

Saraki vs Tinubu
Waziri vs Asiwaju

We believe that this is probably a declaration of war of the biggest kind in our country as the 2 gladiators set to lock horns are 2 formidable foes.

On one side and in the red corner is the Jagaban of Borgu himself, the one and only Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a super veteran of many classics. He is one man that has learnt so much by experience. He has fought many world titled fights and has won very many of them too. You can liken him to the great Mike Tyson at his most imperial best or is it George 'the ultimate bomber' Foreman of yore. These were men that even their opponents had already conceded the defeats to even before entering the rings.

Asiwaju's number 1 epic fight, was a massive one at that, where he fought his opponent to a standstill, when even the whole of the FG was arrayed against him! And that unrelenting opponent then, in the mold of a Joe Frazier was none other than "Chief Olusegun Okikiola Aremu Obasanjo, GCFR", the former President of Nigeria. So fierce was that battle, that even Asiwaju himself came out a bit scathed too, but never gave up neither did he submit and it was after that fight that his legend was acknowledged by all and sundry! By virtue of the many fights he had engaged in, Asiwaju became a veteran that many began to fear to just face or to even lock horns with..

On the other side in the blue corner is a somewhat new kid on the block, a newly discovered dynamite kid of a sort, by the name Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, current President of the Senate and Waziri of Ilorin, who in the last 3 years had fought some of the most epic, most awesome, most must win battles of his career. We think and believe that no other Senate President in the history of the Nigerian Assembly has had to fight as much has Saraki had done to keep his title/belt. The most epic of the battles was him surviving all that was arrayed against him and even finally winning all his court battles to even the Supreme Court. So after coming out of that fierce and unrelenting attacks, where he was pummeled endlessly with leg and right hooks, hammer blows the types that Hogan Jimoh was famous for, blitzing blows the type Manny Pacquao was known for and survivinv the whole onslaught, he has come out with so much confidence and is now ready to come out against his most prized opponent ever now, in the person of the Asiwaju of the world, the Jagaban himself.

Like it normally happens at fights of this dimension and size, the much younger opponent, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, 2 terms Governor of Kwara, 3 years reign as Senate President and now a Presidential aspirant from the opposition party, is already mouthing and boasting to high heavens about his extraordinary boxing abilities. He has spoken about his speed and agility, about the strength of his blows and his counter punching ability and has ultimately promised to do a massive TKO!

He is already going like a James "Buster'' Douglas, doing his own version of the" Ali shuffle"claiming to have the medicine, the cure, the panacea to treat the fuck up, of his opponent. He has said he knows how to deal with the godfather in Lagos that is terrorising all and sindry. He has claimed matter of factly that he possesses the antidote to unravel the great Tinubu, that he is ready to demystify him completely!!!

We know for a fact that Saraki has a formidable team behind him too, well scripted and well experienced in all the arts and acts, be it in misdirection, subterfuge, counter attack, counter intelligence, spying etc. A young vibrant team with exceptional intelligence at that, backed up also be an extraordinary spiritual coverage.

But is he and his team ready for what the Asiwaju can unleash?

Already some rounds have been fought seemingly. Though some are claiming that that was just shadow boxing, just a top of the iceberg and not the real Mccoy. That very recent Alpha Beta upheaval or scandal is a case in point. Where did that kind of thing  just emerge from?? When a former member of the same camp, suddenly went zany and began to point accusing fingers and raising dusts about what he was involved in before that was unpalatable! If not that it was part of a systematic onslaught (a kind of disguised and decisive hook) set to destabilize the so called opponent or enemy (misdirection), so that by the time the opponent is occupied trying to sort out that issue and be engaged in doing damage control, the attacker is gone on to other things.

On the journey towards getting the biggest prize/title/belt on the land in 2019, we are too sure many unbelievable cans of worms, a whole Pandora box or boxes would be unleashed that would even have fans and audiences or boxing enthusiasts on both sides nearly dazed or most likely knocked out!

Hear Saraki--

"Bukola Saraki" has promised to ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, produces the next governor of Lagos State.

Speaking during his meeting with PDP delegates at the party’s secretariat yesterday, Saraki said he has “the medicine of the man who regards himself as godfather terrorising Lagos State.”

Saraki, a PDP presidential aspirant, said, “What you have been fighting for many years, you will have it during the coming election because you now have somebody that has intention and charisma to deal with those disturbing you.

“I have a medicine of the man who regards himself as godfather terrorising Lagos State. We have their formula, come next year, PDP will take over Lagos.”

The Senate President also warned Nigerians to be mindful of presidential aspirants promising to restructure Nigeria, if elected president.

He said: “Many aspirants will tell you that they will restructure Nigeria, but don’t let them deceive you because restructuring is not something only a president can do because certain laws also need to change.

“So you need a president that has the political sagacity to carry people along. But there are very few aspirants today that possess such charisma. Once I assume office, I will devolve more powers to the state.’’

FEMI FANI-KAYODE GOES GUNG-HO IN HIS DECLARATION/ASSERTION ABOUT DR. BUKOLA SARAKI

Maybe the resurgence or the supposed revival of the PDP is a mirage after all, as one of her leaders in the person of the very outspoken Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi FANI-KAYODE has blurted out his thought concerning the imminent demise of his own party, as he has faulted and condemned the qualities of one of the Presidential aspirants of his beloved party-The PDP! In the person of the current Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Olubukola Saraki.

Imagine that FFK as he is fondly called, insinuated something not too palatable in his assertion of the newest PDP Presidential aspirant, who only just declared his intention just yesterday in the words below-

So now imagine a top chieftain of the same party, now declaring that Saraki is not fit to have control of the party or its machinery! Is/are there already a division or divisions in the PDP which is supposedly the main opposition party? Are people already in different camps, ready to cling on to their own at all cost? To predict the death and funeral of your own thing, when all should be on board, working together against a common enemy is a bit steep or what do you think ?

THIS SURELY MUST BE A SUPER HAPPY TIME FOR THE SARAKIS

Dr Bukola Saraki and the twins

Given the battles for survival that he has had to fight all of these 3 years, you can't but allow him his time to gloat! And gloating, he seems to be doing at every given opportunity now. No matter who you are and whether or not you are his fan, you must just commend him for being a deft politician.

From the High Court, to the Appeal court and then to the Surpreme Court which is the highest court in the land, don't forget that in-between he also had to face the Code of Conduct too, where a sitting number 3 even had to sit at the Dock to explain himself! In all of them, he won against them all. For those alone, one cannot imagine the hundreds of millions that must have gone down the drain!

All those years that the battle was raging and raging, throwing tantrums, he had to be very careful not to talk too much, and  he also had to constantly be alert, on the watch, on his toes, because he didn't know particularly where the next wave of attack could spring from. Truth be told, whoever were those in his think tank team, they need to be very well commended and well compensated for being up to the task all through. They must have come highly recommended and they surely lived up to their billings. If he can, he must commend them for the rest of his life. They were truly extraordinary, especially at anticipating the moves of their principal's (SARAKI'S) adversaries, that's even before they the adversaries could think up what that next move would or could be, they had already prepared the way out for all or any eventualities. If nothing at all, they must be masters at playing chess, with the abilities to predict as much as the next 8 moves ahead, kudos to them. Without mincing words, they are no doubt a very solid, totally resourceful team.

Also to be commended would be those unseen, but quite formidable powers behind the Senate President, by that we mean his 'prayer team'. Those ones in possession of exceptional esoteric abilities, with the vaunted gifts of seeing limitedly into the immediate future. Mennnnnn, those people, whoever they are and wherever they are too, must be on fire!!!! Not many can weather the kind of storm of the last 3 years and can still come out of it all unscathed. Just imagine that in all of the shenanigans, he has accualy come out of it all looking like an innocent victim, in fact as the oppressed weakling. Wow!

So all through the battles, he dug deep, he had to be careful as he wasn't too sure where the pendulum could swing at times. He kept his aces to himself and his very close knit team, away from scrutinising/prying eyes. In fact also formulating his own  ingenious plans of actions in anticipation, ready to counter wherever and when necessary, whilst also ready to spring the many surprises (jokers) in his box that could turn the tide positive for him and negative for his perceived adversaries whenever necessary and in the process actually turning the hunter to the hunted! In fact sometimes actually using the art of deliberate misdirection to his most utmost advantage, sending his enemies on fool's errands and making the other side look stupid most often.

So far, so good, is all we can say for now and that's very glaring! And the obvious elation and sigh of relief can be perceived and seen all over them. By that we mean Dr Bukola Saraki and his family. Even his family, represented by the very adorable wife, who normally is very, very quiet, especially about anything that has to do with politics and issues related to it, has not been left out of the very public exhalation, since after they won their case at the Surpreme Court!

In the last few weeks, Mrs. Toyin Saraki has been releasing loads of very smart, not confrontational at all and very subliminal messages on her social media handle that says a whole lot about the family's current state of mind. It's so very obvious that first, the relief has been palpable and then by extension, the joy of the victory at the hand has been immense. Though the family would claim that the very latest exclamation of joy has to do with the family' s twin daughters gaining admission to an ivy league school abroad, those in the know, actually know too well that it's more of an all encompassing thing! Far more than the celebration of admissions into a school.

Everything seems so good now, in fact the feel good effect or factor has been extraordinary and it has extended to so much confidence, so much so to the extent that many are of the opinion that if Dr. Bukola Saraki should venture to run for election come next year, 2019, he could or would be the next Nigerian president without a whimper. Though we are not too sure about that for now, for the man of the moment is still going about right now doing consultations to see if those seen as the stakeholders would give their support for his candidacy for President come 2019.

What's quote obvious though is that baring any future unpalatable circumstances, he would surely stick out his neck for the race to become Nigeria's numero uno, and if the prophecy or prediction of Primate Ayodele Elijah of Inri Evangelical Ministry, who claims to have heard from God on his candidacy is anything to go by, then we might already have a new President in waiting then!

DR. BUKOLA SARAKI OUTSMARTS THE POLICE TO ENTER THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND THE TSUNAMI HAS BEGUN.

The Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the Waziri Garin of Ilorin, has shown again the deftness via which he was able to overcome all the shenanigans that was packaged against him all of the past 3 years, by outwitting the blockade set up against him at his residence today by reaching the National Assembly complex to sit and preside over the day's proceedings.

The security agencies comprising of the police and other security apparatik, bungled again like they normally do what was supposed to be their routine agenda for the day, which may have been to keep the Senate President under house arrest at all cost, Maybe because of what they must have heard was planning to take place today, the defection of many Senators from the APC to the PDP.

But the 3rd man of this administration, who is gradually fitting into the personae of the "skilled artful dodger" of that hilarious character in that well known novel Oliver Twist, like the great Houduni well reknowned for his escape art and act, the Waziri Garin of Ilorin just a few hours ago outsmarted all arrayed against him again and arrived gallantly at the National Assembly like a warrior who had escaped an ambush.

According to unconfirmed sources, the Senate President had had an inkling of the plans that awaited him in the morning of today, since yesterday, so he had perfected how he would first evade the plans set for him, while also embarrassing those set to ambush him in the first instance. Part of the plan was to use a decoy that would be seen by all, as the bungling security group set to ambush him would be flexing their might, while he would have effortlessly reached the assembly already.

The aftermath of his manoeuvre was that as soon as he arrived at the Assembly, 15 former members of his APC, led by Alh. Rabiu Kwankwanso, Dino Melaye all defected to the opposition party the PDP. The 15 that defected were Dino Melaye
Barnabas Gemade
Ibrahim Danbaba
Shaaba Lafiaji
Mohammed Shitu
Rafiu Ibrahim
Suleiman Hunkuyi
Isa Misau
Monsurat Sunmonu
Soji Akanbi
Usman Nafada
Musa Kwankwaso
Suleiman Nazif
Lanre Tejuosho. And just as soon as the defection masterstroke was achieved, the Senate President immediately adjoined all other proceedings till September 2018, effectively shutting down any moves by the APC to counter the move till that latter date. Also following what the upper house did, the lower house also perfected its own Defection, with 37 members in all shifting base to another party, mainly the PDP though.

HOW DR. BUKOLA SARAKI BECAME THE NEW VIRGIN BRIDE THAT ALL ARE WILLING TO COURT!

For 3 solids years, he faced a multi-faceted unabated battle that was supposed to break him, belittle him, trounce him and decapitate him. But against all odds and against all the hurricanes, all the tsunamis that could be summoned and unleashed, he withstood them all.

His problems began the moment he emerged as the 3rd person in the present Government, after an unprecedented masterstroke he engineered with others that took all by surprise and caught them napping and got him and others the posts that they currently occupy. Those at the tail end of the deal didn't expect what had happened to them and it got them totally pissed and there began the all important life depending scheme to get him out, at all cost, no matter what. In getting him out as planned, he must also be cut to size too!

The battle was fierce by all standards. It would have consumed a much lesser foe. The battle array against him was outstanding and tremendous, such that others would have balked immediately, just by mere looking at it. How he was able to stand his ground and withstand the waves after waves after waves that was unleashed on him is still something that many would talk about for a long time and even do researches on.

ICBMs of incredible proportions and potency were unleashed on him from all angles. The battle wasn't just focused on him alone, even at a point his beloved wife, so prim and proper, so British in her ways wasn't spared. Some would even say she was harassed too. Imagine that at the wedding of his 1st child, an unbelievable and uncanny coincidence took place, where power- electrical at that, both public and private, failed for many hours as much as 4 hours on the day of the daughter's wedding reception, while guests were set to converge at the venue and nearly marred the occasion!

But somehow, someway the family held strong and believed, when others didn't or couldn't even muster the ounce of belief needed.

The trained medical doctor turned businessman turned politician, trudged on, holding on to invisible straws of hope that others couldn't see nor could decipher that he would be vindicated at the end of it all, some day. Many already celebrated his somewhat downfall, believing that he had been nailed to the wall, that there was no escape for him and that it was only a matter of time, already so sure that there was no way he could extricate himself from the tangle, the knot, the mess he was in.

But like a cat with 9 lives, thrown down from an impossible height and expected to be smashed to smithereens on impact, the Senate President in a manner not totally expected by very many, landed nimbly on his toes, with supreme swagger and alacrity.

So a forth night ago, the highest law court in the land, by this we mean the Supreme Court of Nigeria, finally shut down forever the case which had been a source of worry for the strongman of Kwara politics, by declaring him not guilty of all the allegations brought against him. Also in the same vein, declaring those allegations as null and void, finally removing the source of the issue that had been the headache all of these years.

Since the source of the weight was expunged and the weight that had bedeviled him lifted off him, the Senate President has since being in lala land and has gained more confidence by the day, reveling in his new lease of life. Even his people have had to come out enmasse and very openly too at that, to celebrate with him. In fact the royal father from his domain to show confidence and how proud he and the kingmakers were of their son in whom they were very well pleased, had to bestow on him, the highest possible chieftaincy of that land-The Waziri Garin- meaning the traditional Prime Minister of the kingdom, a title that incidentally was held before by his late father. Dr. Abubakar OluBukola Saraki, becoming the 4th Prime Minister ever of Ilorin.

Suddenly his persecutors have come to a realization, so they, meaning his former enemies of progress on one side, who were formerly hell bent on taking him down at all cost, and his former party on the other side have been currying his favour, both dangling many delights before him in order to have him for keeps!

And like a virgin bride, a knowledgeable and smart one at that, like one that had just come out of the fattening room, who had undergone some major pamperings and beauty routine and had come out looking mind-blowingly stunning, he has been dancing the virgin dance of pride in the midst of his courters, turning their hearts and head, making them go gaga with desire, willing to go to any length or level to get him as theirs.

So would he be wooed by his current lover from whom he is somewhat estranged now due to the way he has been treated so unkindly for a long length of time, that lover being his current party-the APC or would he be falling head over heels again for his former lover, his former party the PDP, from whom he had detached from years back, who though were in coma for a bit from being pulverized before, but who after waking up from the knock out blows they had received, have come back now with vengeance to win him back at all cost?

The next few days, few weeks, months would let us know, the next chapter in the chronicles according to Dr Bukola Saraki!

SENATE PRESIDENT, DR. BUKOLA SARAKI RETURNS HOME TO A ROUSING RECEPTION AFTER HIS SUPREME COURT VICTORY

Dr. Olubukola Saraki stepping out of the plane

Waving atop his car in the motorcade

Crowds waving and hailing their hero

Dr. Olubukola Saraki with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Sulu Gambari

After 3 years of uncertainty over what could be the final verdict in his case at the court premised on false declaration of assets, it was most likely the biggest relief of his life, when the Supreme Court, which is Nigeria's highest court of the land declared him innocent and acquitted him of all charges  brought against many days back.

So Nigeria's Senate President, a former 2 term Governor of his beloved state-Kwara, a trained medical doctor in the person of Dr. Abubakar Olubukola Saraki, 55 returned to his homestead-Ilorin just yesterday and it was a return that could be compared to that of a triumphant warrior who had just come home after a victory of extraordinary proportions. And to show their love for their hero par excellence who after facing a battle that could have consumed him and rendered him mojoless, his fans, admirers and supporters alike came out enmasse and accorded him a heroic welcome befitting a returning hero that would have warmed his heart sumptuously and caused jitters in the hearts of his enemies.

The supporters who had arrived around the Ilorin Airport in Kwara State waited several hours, as much as 8 hours to receive their hero and to give him a worthy rousing reception. The Ilorin-Ogbomosho Road, on which the Airport is located was lined on both sides with cars of his supporters spanning many kilometers long. The cars parked on the sides of the roads particularly affected the traffic on that road, as those coming into town from Ogbomosho and environs had a horrid time.

So when the man of the moment in the person of Dr. Olubukola Saraki finally arrived at the International Airport, Ilorin with his entourage made up of Dr  Doyin Okupe, Dr. Razak Atunwa, Dr. Ali Ahmad & Senator Rafiu Ibrahim it was like the triumphant entry of a saviour! The rousing welcome was totally unprecedented, it was a gross display of love for him by his people, which must have totally melted his heart. With how the people came out to hail his motorcade, the 3rd highest person in hierarchy in the present Government must have felt a glow in his heart and a glorious and very large embrace from his people. Could this utter display of support and love touch his heart and make him make the decision to contest next year's Presidential election? We eagerly await his decision on that and also on whether he would be dumping his party-The APC for another party.

Responding to newsmen questions after the rousing welcome, the Senate President spoke on his battles of the last 3 years thus--He described his three-year trial as tough but expressed satisfaction that his followers never doubted his innocence as he had told them on many occasions

Saturday, October 28, 2017 was the D-day. Venue or the convergence point of the eagles was the ballroom of the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos, which has been completely demystified as a 5-star hotel.

It was when "Halima Oluwatosin Saraki" was traditional married and engaged to "Adeniyi Olatunde Olukoya".

As expected, the "stars, celebrities" et al rained down ceaselessly on the venue, all dressed to the nines as they are known to always do. And we have a few more gorgeous pictures for your beautiful view. Enjoy!!!!

More spectacular pictures after the break.

SARAKI WEDS OLUKOYA IN LAGOS. THE TRADITIONAL WEDDING ENGAGEMENT THAT TOOK LAGOS BY STORM!

Now that part 2 of the 3 part series has happened, it's now on to part 3, which would take place in Abuja the FCT. The Abuja edition would be a multi-day event like we had already stated in our earlier report. A part of the event is slated for the Yar Adua Centre in Abuja, while the main she-bang would be at the International Conference Centre Abuja. The mother's night/cultural reception (a collaboration between the 2 mothers) is set for Thursday, December 7, 2017 at "Royal Hall of the Dunes Centre, Aguiyi Ironsi Way, Wuse II Abuja".

With the benefit of hindsight now as per what had happened at the Eko Hotel and using that as foresight, all the Abuja events would be monitored and planned to a T to avoid further embarrassment of any kind.

The Lagos event like we had exclusively reported was nearly marred and panic had already set in, but for the frantic effort of the event centre technical team, who did all they could do to avoid a major disaster as light (Power) was unavailable for 5 hours prior to the event starting. Imagine that from 6am till much later there was a total blackout. Public power was unavailable and the Generators curiously went kaput also! Strange don't you think?

It was a scary situation at first, with people even already conjuring some unbelievable permutations, alleging sabotage! Sabotage for what and why? Thank God though, all that early troubles were nipped in the bud. And the traditional wedding and Engagement thereafter went like a breeze, without any other issue (s) whatsoever.

The event planners engaged, delivered a slamdunk! Security as expected was very tight as provided by both private and public security services.

So finally, Oluwatosin Halima Saraki, 25, first born child of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria and his wife, Toyin Saraki nee Ojora, President/Founder of Well-being Foundation Africa was joined traditional to Adeniyi Olatunde Olukoya, the son of Omooba Adebola Olukoya and his wife Olori Olatokunbo Olukoya.

Could less have been expected when the father of the bride is a political juggernaut from the ruling party-the APC and also when the maternal granddad of the bride, is a known boardroom guru and "a lord of the Lagos Social establishment" and also a "bonafide prince of Lagos", who has a legitimate right to the throne of Oba of Lagos, in the person of Otunba Adekunle Ojora, who is ably supported by the Matriach of the Ojora clan in the person of the Erelu Oodua herself, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, her supreme gorgeousness.

The heavyweights of businesses, top Government functionaries, top echelon of the diplomatic corps, sprinkling of Governors and Ex-Governors, royalties of all colourations, political heavyweights and more littered the venue with their presence. It was colourful, it was upscale, it was an explosive gathering in a great way, in that though it was supposed to be a social gathering, but with great political undertones, which would guide some certain major decisions thereafter. Those who came and those who didn't either deliberately or otherwise would have been noted.

Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo GCON, came with his gorgeous wife, former President Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo GCFR, came. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Remi Tinubu, his wife were present. Esama of Benin, Sir Gabriel Igbinedion, Osile Oke-Ona Egba, Oba Dr. Adedapo Tejuosho Karunwi III, Aliko Dangote, Abba Kyari, Chief Bisi Akande, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Otunba Subomi Balogun, Senator Ken Nnamani, Ali Modu Sheriff,

More beautiful pictures after the break.

SARAKI WEDS OLUKOYA 2017. LIVE REPORTING FROM EKO HOTEL. MAESTRO'S MEDIA EXCLUSIVE! NO LIGHT (ELECTRIC POWER) FOR THE PAST 5 HOURS. SABOTAGE OR WHAT?

Eko Hotel

As we speak the Lagos leg of this massive wedding is set to take off at the venue, Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos. It is the wedding between the daughter of the Senate President of Nigeria, Dr Bukola Saraki in the person of Tosin Saraki to her beau, Adeniyi Olatunde Olukoya.

The introduction had held successful without any incidence in Ilorin, Kwara State of Nigeria.

Now it's the turn of Lagos and alas, no light for the last 5 hours! And the hotel management is battling that! Some are suspecting sabotage! Sabotage???? Yes ooooo, like someone is hell-bent on disrupting things.

Eko Hotel is supposedly the biggest hotel in Nigeria and most probably the only 5 star rated in Lagos. What's going on?

More reports as things unfold.

TOSIN SARAKI AND ADENIYI OLATUNDE OLUKOYA'S INTRODUCTION IN ILORIN, KWARA STATE

Senator Bukola Saraki and Madam

Senate President & mom

Ruth Osime, Debbie Oghene and another guest

Yewande Zaccheaus, Furo Hart, Ekua Abudu, Ruth Osime & others

Embattled Senator Dino Melaye

So part 1 has happened and it was at the bride's parents home in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Like you already know, it was the introduction ceremony (Write-in) of the first daughter, Toyin Saraki of the Senate President of Nigeria, in the person of Dr Olubukola Saraki & his gorgeous wife, the former 1st lady of Kwara State, who is also the founder of the Wellbeing Initiative, in the person of Mrs. Toyin Saraki and the son of Omooba Olukoya, Adeniyi Olatunde Olukoya.

So both families were officially/formally introduced at the weekend, Saturday, October 21, 2017 to each other, as first part of the nuptial ceremony which is billed as one of the season's most colourful. As was expected, it was a very colourful event. The predominant colour of the day was "Lilac" and it was used in a blazing fashion by family members and guests, so much so that it dominated the scene.

So now that the 1st part has happened in Ilorin, Kwara State, it's now on to the 2nd part, which is a "Lagos affair", knowing Lagos for what it is, it would be an "Eko for show" thing and it's going to be the "Traditional Engagement", which is expected to be far more colourful, far more grand and would have far more guests in attendance.

Introduction as we all know, is more of a family affair mixed with a few close friends in attendance. The Traditional Engagement, is always a far more public than private affair, so it would be a bigger affair in all ramifications. Like you already know, it would be at the expansive hall of the Eko Hotel in Lagos, and it is slated for Saturday, October 28, 2017.

We have a few pictures of the weekend's event for your viewing pleasure. Check them out!

More pictures after the break.

Toyin Saraki

All things being equal, the families of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his amiable wife, Toyin and their extended families would play host to the who-is-who in Nigeria come the month of September of 2017.

Though information is still a bit sketchy as par actual plans, insiders have sworn that no matter what, a September date is most definitely a must and the choice of Tosin Saraki.

The brilliant and quite gorgeous young lass, at 25 going 26 in December of 2017, is the eldest child and first daughter of the Senate President and his wife Toyin, who have 4 gorgeous kids in all (Tosin 25, Seni the only son at 22 and the twins (both girls), who would be 17 in July).

More after the break.
