FEMI FANI-KAYODE GOES GUNG-HO IN HIS DECLARATION/ASSERTION ABOUT DR. BUKOLA SARAKI

Maybe the resurgence or the supposed revival of the PDP is a mirage after all, as one of her leaders in the person of the very outspoken Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi FANI-KAYODE has blurted out his thought concerning the imminent demise of his own party, as he has faulted and condemned the qualities of one of the Presidential aspirants of his beloved party-The PDP! In the person of the current Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Olubukola Saraki.

Imagine that FFK as he is fondly called, insinuated something not too palatable in his assertion of the newest PDP Presidential aspirant, who only just declared his intention just yesterday in the words below-

So now imagine a top chieftain of the same party, now declaring that Saraki is not fit to have control of the party or its machinery! Is/are there already a division or divisions in the PDP which is supposedly the main opposition party? Are people already in different camps, ready to cling on to their own at all cost? To predict the death and funeral of your own thing, when all should be on board, working together against a common enemy is a bit steep or what do you think ?

Top of the day great people!

I feel I owe it to everyone, to give a summary of what actually happened on Monday, 27th  August 2018 at the All Progressives Congress State Party Secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja, Lagos.

For a while now, Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas (APC Lagos state women) has been on a war path with the APC South-West Women Leader, Chief  Mrs Kemi Nelson, for reasons best known to her.

I, Ayo Alli-Balogun became aware of Hon Jumoke’s detest for her superior and the South-West Women Leader of our great party, the All Progressives Congress at the final mega campaign rally of HE Kayode Fayemi days before the Ekiti State gubernatorial elections 2018. At the said rally, Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas out of nowhere and without any provocation whatsoever, started raining insults on Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson that she Hon. Jumoke was not allowed onto the VIP pavilion of the event. Whilst Hon. Jumoke was raining her insults she saw me and immediately verbally attacked me calling me “Aja Kemi Nelson” Kemi Nelson’s dog! I ignored her and proceeded to my seat.

Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, attack on my person came to a head on Wednesday 22nd August 2018 at the country home of Lagos State Governor during His Excellency’s Sallah gathering, where Hon. Jumoke accused me of staring at her and threatened to deal with me.

The shocking thing about her utterances was that at no point or time, did I have any close contact with her whatsoever; not to talk of I attempting any form of attack on her. The worrying bit about her utterances and actions is that maybe Hon Jumoke is imbued with the power of clairvoyance, which allows her her glimpse into an unknown future and so with the abilities to see things not yet in existence!

Hon. Jumoke was seated about 15 huge tables away from where I stood with the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to receive His Excellency, who was making the rounds greeting and taking pictures with guests. I noticed Madam Jumoke’s visible agitation as she wagged her hand toward my direction in a threatening manner when she said “you are staring at me! I would deal with you!!”

Naturally, I was shocked by Madam Jumoke’s conduct, especially coming from an elder and someone in her position, so I informed party leaders present as per my observations. They promised to look into the matter and asked that I go on with my dancing.

However, I thought it imperative to notify the APC state chairman of my experience at the hands of Madam Jumoke Okoya-Thomas during the Sallah gathering of the Governor. So I visited the State Party Chairman on Thursday 23rd August 2018 but he had left, so I called and booked an appointment for Monday 27th August 2018 to which the party state chairman agreed.

On the fateful day, I went to the state chairman in company of three senior women of the party to inform him of Hon. Jumoke’s open threat to deal with me.
As fate would have it, I was informed that the State Chairman was at a meeting. While waiting, Hon. Jumoke exited the chairman’s office and later returned to the office about 10mins later. All this while, I was at the reception area of the chairman’s office with the three women who accompanied me there.

After waiting for an additional 30mins I decided to leave as it was apparent, Madam Jumoke was going to be in the office for a long time.

◦On my way to the South-West Zonal Women leader’s office within the party secretariat, I was apprehended by Hon. Jumoke’s PA (Alhaja Biodun) and the police orderly with her. They both pounced on me with slaps, blows and lashes from the horse whip wielded by the police orderly attached to Hon. Jumoke. I naturally defended myself and extracted myself from the stronghold of the vicious attack of Alhaja Biodun. I then returned to the chairman’s office to show him my battered face, body and clothes.

◦About an hour later, while inside Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson’s office in the presence of the Deputy and Vice Chairman of the party. Six very hefty and fierce looking men in black Tee-shirts with Scorpion drawn on them bursted into the South-West Women Leader’s office. They told us they are from Lagos island and have been directed to kill Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson and I, under the order of the Iron Lady!!!

◦Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas at some point during the assault, came into Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson office shouting that “Kemi Nelson is in the toilet, she must be killed! That once she’s killed her followers would disperse” (All of these in Yoruba).

◦The armed men descended brutally without remorse on everyone in close quarters, beating and pummelling everyone found in Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson’s office.

◦The most horrifying bit of the mayhem was the stabbing of Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson’s Chief Security Officer for not telling them (cultists) where Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson and I were.

SENATE PRESIDENT DR BUKOLA SARAKI RESPONDS SARCASTICALLY TO ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU'S ASSERTION ABOUT WHY HE DEFECTED FROM THE APC TO THE PDP.

This battle that has begun is most definitely going to be brutal, reason for that being that when elephants battle, especially giant ones like these ones, it is the innocent grass underfoot that would feel the massive weight. And already, the grass is already feeling it and feeling it real damn good. The defection of the Senate President from his former party the APC, back to his old party the PDP is already opening up what were supposed to have remained hidden cans of worms. From the little engagements so far between the juggernauts on both sides, supposed exposes of monumental proportions are suddenly bobbling out, which are already  causing unprecedented ripples.

Find below the response of Dr. BUKOLA SARAKI to the statement by The Asiwaju as to why he had to defect. It is rather very ironic though, that in trying to pooh-pooh the Asiwaju's assertion about his inordinate ambition, the Senate President conveniently forgot a statement he had made on December 18, 2014.

The Tinubu Rhetoric - My Response, By Saraki

I have always restrained from joining issues in the media with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and this is based on my respect for him. However, I will not allow him to create a wrong, false and mischievous impression about the reasons for my decision to exit the All Progressives Congress (APC) and present his prejudices as facts for public consumption.

I have been consistent in my complaints to all leaders of the APC, including Tinubu, that a situation where the National Assembly is not constructively engaged or carried along in key policy decisions, particularly those that will eventually require legislative approval, is not in the best interest of the nation. No genuine leader of the legislature will be comfortable that the Presidency will simply write a terse letter to the National Assembly on key issues which the federal legislature is expected to later deliberate upon and give its approval. The Buhari administration consistently treat the legislature with contempt and act as if the law making body should be an appendage of the Executive. To me, that is unacceptable.

In the same way, I find it very objectionable that many stakeholders who worked strenuously to get the administration into office have now been excluded in the government and not consulted on key decisions as necessary and expected. In fact, some of them are treated as pariah. A party which ignores justice, equity and inclusion as basic pre-condition for peace, unity and stability cannot sustain its membership and leadership.

Let me redirect the attention of the former Governor of Lagos State to the aspect of my July 31, 2018, statement announcing my exit from APC in which I emphasized that the decision "has been inescapably imposed on me by certain elements and forces within the APC who have ensured that the minimum conditions for peace, cooperation, inclusion and a general sense of belonging did not exist".

In that statement, I further noted that those APC elements "have done everything to ensure that the basic rules of party administration, which should promote harmonious relations among the various elements within the party were blatantly disregarded. All governance principles which were required for a healthy functioning of the party and the government were deliberately violated or undermined. And all entreaties for justice, equity and fairness as basic precondition for peace and unity, not only within the party, but also the country at large, were simply ignored, or employed as additional pretext for further exclusion. The experience of my people and associates in the past three years is that they have suffered alienation and have been treated as outsiders in their own party. Thus, many have become disaffected and disenchanted. At the same time, opportunities to seek redress and correct these anomalies were deliberately blocked as a government-within-a-government had formed an impregnable wall and left in the cold, everyone else who was not recognized as “one of us”. This is why my people, like all self-respecting people would do, decided to seek accommodation elsewhere".

Tinubu himself will recall that during the various meetings he had with me at the time he was pursuing reconciliation within the party, I raised all the above issues. I can also vividly recall that he himself always expressed his displeasure with the style of the government and also mentioned that he had equally suffered disrespect from the same government which we all worked to put in office. I also made the point that whatever travails I have gone through in the last three years belong to the past and will definitely not shape my decisions now and in the future.

However, during those meetings, the point of disagreement between me and him is that while I express my worry that there is nothing on ground to assure me that the administrative style and attitude would change in the next four years in a manner that will enable us deliver the positive changes we promised to our people, he (Tinubu) expressed a strong opinion that he would rather 'support a Buhari on the hospital stretcher' to get a second term because in 2023, power will shift to the South-west. This Tinubu viewpoint was not only expressed to me but to several of my colleagues. So much for acting in national interest.

It is clear that while my own decision is based on protecting collective, national interest, Tinubu will rather live with the identified inadequacies in the government for the sake of fulfilling and preserving his presidential ambition in 2023. This new position of Tinubu has only demonstrated inconsistency, particularly when one reviews his antecedent over the years.

Again, let me reiterate my position that my uncertain and complex relationship with Tinubu has been continually defined by the event of 2014 when myself and other leaders of the APC opposed the Muslim-Muslim ticket arrangement about to be foisted on the APC for the 2015 polls. It should be noted that he has not forgotten the fact that I took the bull by the horns and told him that in the interest of the country, he should accept the need for the party to present a balanced ticket for the 2015 General Elections in terms of religion and geo-political zones. Since that time he has been very active, plotting at every point to undermine me, within and outside the National Assembly.

It is a surprise to me that Asiwaju Tinubu is still peddling the falsehood about the fact that my defection is about automatic ticket and sharing of resources. Members of the public will recall that when the issue of my decision to quit APC came to the fore and many APC leaders were holding meetings with me, a newspaper owned by the same Tinubu published a false report about the promise of automatic ticket, oil block and other benefits. I immediately rebutted their claims and categorically stated that I never discussed any such personal and pecuniary benefits with anybody. My challenge that anybody who has contrary facts should come forward with them still remains open.

It should be known that Democracy is a system which allows people to freely make their choice. It is my choice that I have decided to join others to present a viable alternative platform for Nigerians in the coming elections. Tinubu and leaders of the APC had better respect this decision or lawfully deal with it. As for me, Allah gives power to whom He wishes. Human beings can only aspire and strive to fulfill their aspirations.

ON AKPABIO'S DEFECTION! THE DIE IS CAST AS HE RESIGNS AS SENATE MINORITY LEADER

From all indications now, it looks for certain that there's no going back on his decision to jump ships no more. It's obvious that the die is already cast. That's talking about the erstwhile Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Many, especially members of the PDP and those he was very close to were still hoping against all hope, that the whole defection affair might have just been a nightmare dream that they were having and that they would soon be jolted out of their deep and uncomfortable slumber to a new day to see that it was all a lie, but alas, the reality check now is that, the former 2 terms Governor of the oil rich Akwa Ibom state, who is said to have done a massive and excellent job while he was  Governor, is most definitely going to dump the PDP come tomorrow!

So towards his move to officially defect at a ceremony planned for tomorrow, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in his home state of Akwa Ibom, Senator Godswill Akpabio has tended his letter of resignation as the Senate Minority Leader of the House of Assembly in a letter dated, Saturday, August 4, 2018. The resignation letter was addressed to his former deputy, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha and it reads thus-

This letter is to formally inform you of my resignation as the Senate Minority Leader with effect from August 4, 2018.

Let me thank the Senate minority leadership, our distinguished colleagues and our great party, the PDP for the opportunity to lead the Caucus in the last three years.

A CASE OF DO ME I DO YOU AS AKPABIO MOVES TO THE APC IN THE AFTERMATH OF SARAKI'S MOVE TO THE PDP!

It's either just another political masterstroke of unbelievable proportion or maybe, just maybe another surpreme covert move of the most unexpected kind for the future which when it would be played as it should, would be a deft genius move of unprecedented effect, a move that would be the most sagacious and would most assuredly, completely break the spine of the APC as a party. A true masterstroke in every sense of the word. That's if it is actually a subterfuge.

But for now as it is on the surface, if there's nothing clandestine about the move and it is actually a genuine and plane move devoid of any future intended trickery or treachery, then Senator Godswill Akpabio's intended move away from his beloved PDP- his soon to become former party to the APC, might just be the most deft move yet, that the APC has ever been able to orchestrate in their history.

Talk of chess playing of the most masterful kind, and that's just what this crossing or change of allegiance can be compared to! You lost some supposed bigwigs--3 Governors and members of the National Assembly-about 50 plus of them, whose electoral weight or value might have waned and then gain an heavyweight and some, from a very strategic area- South-South/South-East, whose electoral weight/value is still as formidable as it were from day one.

So as it is, it would just be a case of while the PDP were still prematurely gloating and back-slapping each other for a supposed back-breaking masterstroke victory, from a supposed good job well done as directed and produced by the Senate President-Dr Bukola Saraki, who was the PDP's arrowhead, the APC who normally should have started seeing and feeling the results of the rigor mortis brought by the dead shot on their party, have from nowhere just pulled off the carpet from under the PDP, as they too have responded in kind with Senator Akpabio's and company planned movement the other way.

All the above though, are still permutations, not until Thursday, August 9, 2018 in Akwa Ibom when the planned dumping and receiving would have taken place before one can actually believe that truly, Akpabio and Co have left PDP officially to now camp with the APC.

Meanwhile, the next few days before the actual defection date can still spring many surprises. Reason for that majorly is because many can not still fathom, why all of a sudden, when it seems like the stock of his party the PDP is on the virtual  rise after being in coma for so long, and it is at that particular time that he has chosen to now defect. Also it's not like he is a virtual nobody at his party who is looking for a position, him being the Senate minority leader alone,  translates to him being the leader of his party at the National Assembly, meaning he is the leader of the shadow government, were it to be another style of government! The 3rd reason again why people are so baffled as to why in the world he would want to defect, is that apart from the so called battle of wits with his protégé, the present Governor of his home state, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel who he supposedly single-handedly anointed and installed, he supposedly has/had a very good relationship with the hierarchy of the PDP, so why quit then?????

So in order to at least justify the so called mind boggling defection, some have had to come up with some speculations, chief of which is that maybe the ruling party has gotten him in a vice like grip that the only way out for him was just to change camp!

So we are all eagerly awaiting Thursday, August 9, 2018 to see what would actually happen. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

DR. BUKOLA SARAKI OUTSMARTS THE POLICE TO ENTER THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND THE TSUNAMI HAS BEGUN.

The Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the Waziri Garin of Ilorin, has shown again the deftness via which he was able to overcome all the shenanigans that was packaged against him all of the past 3 years, by outwitting the blockade set up against him at his residence today by reaching the National Assembly complex to sit and preside over the day's proceedings.

The security agencies comprising of the police and other security apparatik, bungled again like they normally do what was supposed to be their routine agenda for the day, which may have been to keep the Senate President under house arrest at all cost, Maybe because of what they must have heard was planning to take place today, the defection of many Senators from the APC to the PDP.

But the 3rd man of this administration, who is gradually fitting into the personae of the "skilled artful dodger" of that hilarious character in that well known novel Oliver Twist, like the great Houduni well reknowned for his escape art and act, the Waziri Garin of Ilorin just a few hours ago outsmarted all arrayed against him again and arrived gallantly at the National Assembly like a warrior who had escaped an ambush.

According to unconfirmed sources, the Senate President had had an inkling of the plans that awaited him in the morning of today, since yesterday, so he had perfected how he would first evade the plans set for him, while also embarrassing those set to ambush him in the first instance. Part of the plan was to use a decoy that would be seen by all, as the bungling security group set to ambush him would be flexing their might, while he would have effortlessly reached the assembly already.

The aftermath of his manoeuvre was that as soon as he arrived at the Assembly, 15 former members of his APC, led by Alh. Rabiu Kwankwanso, Dino Melaye all defected to the opposition party the PDP. The 15 that defected were Dino Melaye

And just as soon as the defection masterstroke was achieved, the Senate President immediately adjoined all other proceedings till September 2018, effectively shutting down any moves by the APC to counter the move till that latter date. Also following what the upper house did, the lower house also perfected its own Defection, with 37 members in all shifting base to another party, mainly the PDP though.

HOW DR. BUKOLA SARAKI BECAME THE NEW VIRGIN BRIDE THAT ALL ARE WILLING TO COURT!

For 3 solids years, he faced a multi-faceted unabated battle that was supposed to break him, belittle him, trounce him and decapitate him. But against all odds and against all the hurricanes, all the tsunamis that could be summoned and unleashed, he withstood them all.

His problems began the moment he emerged as the 3rd person in the present Government, after an unprecedented masterstroke he engineered with others that took all by surprise and caught them napping and got him and others the posts that they currently occupy. Those at the tail end of the deal didn't expect what had happened to them and it got them totally pissed and there began the all important life depending scheme to get him out, at all cost, no matter what. In getting him out as planned, he must also be cut to size too!

The battle was fierce by all standards. It would have consumed a much lesser foe. The battle array against him was outstanding and tremendous, such that others would have balked immediately, just by mere looking at it. How he was able to stand his ground and withstand the waves after waves after waves that was unleashed on him is still something that many would talk about for a long time and even do researches on.

ICBMs of incredible proportions and potency were unleashed on him from all angles. The battle wasn't just focused on him alone, even at a point his beloved wife, so prim and proper, so British in her ways wasn't spared. Some would even say she was harassed too. Imagine that at the wedding of his 1st child, an unbelievable and uncanny coincidence took place, where power- electrical at that, both public and private, failed for many hours as much as 4 hours on the day of the daughter's wedding reception, while guests were set to converge at the venue and nearly marred the occasion!

But somehow, someway the family held strong and believed, when others didn't or couldn't even muster the ounce of belief needed.

The trained medical doctor turned businessman turned politician, trudged on, holding on to invisible straws of hope that others couldn't see nor could decipher that he would be vindicated at the end of it all, some day. Many already celebrated his somewhat downfall, believing that he had been nailed to the wall, that there was no escape for him and that it was only a matter of time, already so sure that there was no way he could extricate himself from the tangle, the knot, the mess he was in.

But like a cat with 9 lives, thrown down from an impossible height and expected to be smashed to smithereens on impact, the Senate President in a manner not totally expected by very many, landed nimbly on his toes, with supreme swagger and alacrity.

So a forth night ago, the highest law court in the land, by this we mean the Supreme Court of Nigeria, finally shut down forever the case which had been a source of worry for the strongman of Kwara politics, by declaring him not guilty of all the allegations brought against him. Also in the same vein, declaring those allegations as null and void, finally removing the source of the issue that had been the headache all of these years.

Since the source of the weight was expunged and the weight that had bedeviled him lifted off him, the Senate President has since being in lala land and has gained more confidence by the day, reveling in his new lease of life. Even his people have had to come out enmasse and very openly too at that, to celebrate with him. In fact the royal father from his domain to show confidence and how proud he and the kingmakers were of their son in whom they were very well pleased, had to bestow on him, the highest possible chieftaincy of that land-The Waziri Garin- meaning the traditional Prime Minister of the kingdom, a title that incidentally was held before by his late father. Dr. Abubakar OluBukola Saraki, becoming the 4th Prime Minister ever of Ilorin.

Suddenly his persecutors have come to a realization, so they, meaning his former enemies of progress on one side, who were formerly hell bent on taking him down at all cost, and his former party on the other side have been currying his favour, both dangling many delights before him in order to have him for keeps!

And like a virgin bride, a knowledgeable and smart one at that, like one that had just come out of the fattening room, who had undergone some major pamperings and beauty routine and had come out looking mind-blowingly stunning, he has been dancing the virgin dance of pride in the midst of his courters, turning their hearts and head, making them go gaga with desire, willing to go to any length or level to get him as theirs.

So would he be wooed by his current lover from whom he is somewhat estranged now due to the way he has been treated so unkindly for a long length of time, that lover being his current party-the APC or would he be falling head over heels again for his former lover, his former party the PDP, from whom he had detached from years back, who though were in coma for a bit from being pulverized before, but who after waking up from the knock out blows they had received, have come back now with vengeance to win him back at all cost?

The next few days, few weeks, months would let us know, the next chapter in the chronicles according to Dr Bukola Saraki! 

UPDATE ON THE UPCOMING NOVEMBER 2017 ANAMBRA ELECTION- THE ANDY UBA FACTOR AND THE PDP SURPRISE PACKAGE- OSELOKA OBAZE

Now that the APC has backed Dr. Tony Nwoye has her candidate for the upcoming battle of the titans in Ndi Anambra come November 18, 2017 what would the moneybag known as Senator Andy Uba, who had taken not less than 40 senators to go pick up his form to participate at the primary then, in a power show to intimidate others now do?

It is obvious somewhat that the days of blatant money politics in the state (ANAMBRA) seems to have ended. For if it was money that should have decided who should be the flag bearer of the APC and even PDP in that state, none of the many candidates who vied to be chosen as the sole candidate of the APC & PDP could match have matched the likes of Senator Andy Uba, Oil and Gas mogul Ifeanyi Ubah and former Aviation Minister and SPG boss Stella Oduah.

But even with all of their capacities and capabilities, they were still totally annilated by those without their kind of staggering wealth, but who were loads more influential and rightly connected.

Dr. Tony Nwoye, who is  now the confirmed candidate of the APC, got 95% of the votes amongst the 12 that took part in the primary and left the remaining 5% to be shared by all the other candidates, which included Senator Andy Uba.

Dr. Nwoye, is a medical doctor by profession and a House of Representatives member and also a well respected politician, who is the youngest of the aspirants vying for the post of Executive Governor of Anambra State. At 43, he and Chief Osita Chidoka of UPP who is 46 are the young men, who wants to bring in a lot new energy into running the affairs of the South East's most urban state.

SENATOR ANDY UBA GETTING SET FOR ANAMBRA'S GUBERNATORIAL BATTLE

It would most definitely be a battle royale extraordinary when the Anambra State Governorship election would hold, as the caliber of those set to battle each other seem to be getting more awesome and more impressive by the day.

Just yesterday, another "incredible personality", in the person of Senator Andy Uba, of the APC formerly of the PDP/Labour Party went to pick up the form signifying his intention with about 40 senators from the APC and many women and youths in tow, so as to be the representative of the APC in the upcoming battle of the titans.

Handsome thespian son of renowned Nigeria thespian by name Pete EDOCHIE, by name Yul EDOCHIE has made his political intention and ambition known to the world.

Maybe as a way to confirm that truly "everyman is a political animal" one way or the other, it seems like the young man has legitimate hope of running the affairs of the richest state in the East- Anambra.

If Yul has his way, he would be involved in a 3 way battle with the incumbent, Chief Willie OBIANO of APGA, who is acknowledged as an action Governor per excellence and who many have glowingly reiterated that he deserves another 4 years term in charge, based on his antecedence. The executive Governor of Anambra State currently, would be clocking 62 on August 8, 2017.

On the other side is the former Corps General of the FRSC and former Minister under the Government of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan GCFR, in the person of Chief Osita Chidoka of the UPP, but formerly of the PDP. Chief Chidoka is another action packed individual, with outstanding pedigree in public service. He is a relatively young man at 46, in fact he would be clocking 46 on July 17, 2017.

What would be Yul's reason for stepping forward? He believes there's the need for the old and senile kind off to give way to the new and fresh, like him. Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie, clocked 35 in January of 2017. He is the last born of 6 kids of the veteran and award winning actor-father.

As per his political party of choice to prosecute this dream and ambition, no one knows yet. Maybe APC since their candidate has withdrawn in support of the incumbent. 

IS OBANIKORO THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF LAGOS? HAS HE TRULY CROSS CARPETED TO THE RULING APC?

The rumour has been rife. It has gotten the media into overdrive with speculations. Musiliu Obanikoro himself has not helped matters at all. He has been hobbnobbing with the former opposition members, while still claiming to be member of his party. It's like he is intentionally playing a game.

From all indicatioms he is APC in spirit and soul, but maybe not yet bodily.

Many have thought that finally after all the intentional deflections of many weeks, that the former PDP perennial governorship contestant and former Defence Minister during the reign of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan might have finally jumped ship and has again gone to pitch his tent with his mentor again in the person of ASIWAJU Bola Ahmed Tinubu's APC.

Those who could read body language very well had predicted the move since, but apparently MUSILIU OBANIKORO, intentionally wanted to mix the people for a while first, whether to gauge their mindset before doing what is obvious that he would most definitely and some say certainly do.

Some have also speculated that this move, might also be a way by some bloc, to send signals somewhat to the incumbent action Governor, in the person of his excellency, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, who has so far defied everyone's description has he seem to be in such a hurry to obliterate for good, not for bad, every record of achievements made by all his predecessors combined, except maybe Alhaji Lateef Jakande who was exceptional during his reign and time.

Maybe to show to the world that his suspension from the House of Representatives has not had any adverse effects of any kind on him, suspended House member, Honourable Abdulmumin Jibrin went picture and joy crazy of recent.

The enfant terrible of the national assembly, Honourable from Kano, who represented Kiri/Bebeji Federal Constituency in Kano, who has refused to be intimidated by the whole might of the House for his whistle blowing allegations of budget padding against the house, which led to his suspension for taking this particular stand, looked very happy and at peace in the several pictures he took with his family, consisting of his wife and kids. Jibrin is the fly in and around the teacup of the Speaker of the House, Honourable Dogara.

In the pictures were Maryam his pregnant wife and his 4 children from his 1st marriage.

Maybe this is an early birthday celebration as we saw him cutting a 40th birthday cake, while his biography  claims he was born on September 9, 1976 at Agenebode in old Bendel State to a military dad. Which would mean he would be 41 in September! Maybe the pictures were last year's but just released now! Or that there was a mistake on his biography?

The Presidency, The APC And The Enemies Within By Tunde Ajibulu

Is the All Progressives Congress (APC) a glass house? Is the APC a house of straw? Is the APC a sand castle? Hhmmmm! Where do I start? I think I speak the minds of most APC members, supporters, well-wishers and the general populace, to say we are disillusioned by the pace of governance in Nigeria today. 

The response time to very salient issues is unbelievably disturbing. The infighting and squabbling. I will want to focus on and within the APC. For starters, I am a loyal APC card carrying member. I believe I have contributed my quota as thousands of others did, to the party, while i am not a die-hard fan of Mallam Nasir el Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State, I must say his memo to President Muhammadu Buhari which recently suffered a leak, was spot on and should be seen as a clarion call on the Presidency and the leadership of the APC if they do not want this whole arrangement to end up in any one of the above headlined categories.

Less than 2 weeks ago, the President appointed 23 head of Federal agencies two years into his regime!!!! The last PDP government's appointees were still running those key agencies hitherto. Today there are hundreds of if not thousands more PDP members still running or enjoying the benefits of board memberships, et al, in this administration! This is a travesty! 

It is impossible for the presidency to handle all this appointments!!it has to share!! Is it a world-wide standard best political practice to divide the  ‘spoils’ within the party from the most transparent and sophisticated democracies to the most despotic dictatorships... The APC leadership has to step up and defend the mandate of its members, loyalists,  and supporters from the odium, the so called cabal has smeared us with. Where was the cabal when Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was breaking his back, running helter-skelter to make things happen? Where was the cabal when PMB sat in the trenches negotiating, sacrificing his principles and cajoling to reach an agreement that birthed the APC?Where was the cabal when Senator Musa Kwankwaso delivered millions of votes? 

Where was the cabal when the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki 'mutinied' against the sitting President and his party the PDP and led five governors to the APC, delivered the North Central States for the first time to the opposition?

We have verified the allegations of a full blockade of Kano State Governor Kwankwaso from all public venues in Abuja by the Jonathan-led PDP government. The Kano State governor who intends to make his declaration to run for the Presidency of Nigeria under the APC opposition party this Thursday (Tomorrow), after making several attempts to secure these public avenues, to no avail over the past days finally resorted to making this infraction known to the public in a Press release by his office.
The question is: who is afraid of Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and why?

We proceeded to check the record of Governor Kwankwaso and the reasons why the Jonathan-led Government could allow Atiku Abubakar and General Buhari make their declarations, but utilizes all means to block Kano state Governor Kwankwaso’s declaration for the President’s seat.

I am humbled to say that in the record of Kwankwaso in Kano over his three years, he has been different. After speaking with several ordinary, everyday Kano people, I was dumbfounded. ENDS sent a representative to Kano to investigate the facts and the lengthy report of Kwankwaso’s performance bewilders and I dare say is relatively unseen in Africa.

Ekiti’s governorship election on Saturday June 21, 2014 kicks of the 2014/2015 election season.

Enough is Enough Nigeria (EiE Nigeria), a coalition of young Nigerians promoting good governance and citizen engagement will host a live televised debate for three of the leading candidates on Sunday, June 1, 2014.

This continues EiE’s tradition of hosting youth-focused debates, having co-hosted the first youth-focused presidential debate in the country in 2011. It has since hosted debates in Cross River and Anambra (in partnership with Channels TV).

There are 18 candidates vying for the position of Governor and the four leading candidates were invited to participate in the debate: incumbent governor Kayode Fayemi, of the All Progressives Congress (APC); former governor Ayo Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Opeyemi Bamidele of the Labour Party (LP); and Accord Party flagbearer, Kole Ajayi.

Mr Fayose of PDP declined to participate in the debate.

Candidates are expected to make public their plans for Ekiti youth with special focus on education, security, power supply and employment/enterprise.

The debate will be aired live on EKTV, NTA Ekiti & TVC.

If by God's grace all the permutations and calculations work out like it is been planned, then come 2015 the first son of multimillionaire Kwara strong woman, Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya, in the person of Sheriff Shagaya might become one of the Honourable members of Federal House of Representatives in Abuja, the FCT, in Nigeria. This House of Representatives dream is only a first part of the blue-print, with the ultimate dream being the Governorship come 2019. 

According to the little we could gather, Hajia Bola Shagaya has begun the actualization of her very well laid plans in earnest and she's leaving no stone unturned to perfect these plans. The defection of the former Governor of the State, in the person of Senator Bukola Saraki & by extension that of the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed and their supporters from the PDP is said to have even made things a lot easier for madam to initiate the 1st part of her plans. Madam has since then assumed the topmost position as the de facto boss of the PDP in Kwara State, one of the ways through which she feels would make it easier for her to actualize her plans. Also coupled with the kind of influence she now has, as a very close friend of the first lady and the promise she's said to have made of delivering Kwara State back to the PDP at all cost, all things being equal her plans might work out.
