FINALLY THE CAGED BIRD (CANARY) LANRE GENTRY HAS REGAINED HIS FREEDOM

To God be the praise as Mercy Aigbe (Gentry)'s estranged husband has regained his freedom from Kirikiri Prison after spending a whole week behind bars.

He had been remanded in prison custody many days back in order for him to perfect his bail conditions. He was to have paid an amount and was also asked to provide 2 sureties in like sum too.

Now that the caged singing canary has regained liberty again, we don't know if we would be hearing all over again, those very heady tunes he used to sing before his temporary incarceration.

While he was incarcerated and was seemingly gagged, Lanre's wife, the lovable actress by name Mercy at least momentarily got her groove back, much to the extent that she shut down the devil, saying he cannot rob her of her time to shine, which she posted on her social media handle.

She has gotten plenty of support though from the court of public opinion, with many openly supporting her by encouraging her and also saying No to Domestic Violence.

Would the status quo ante now be resumed with both sides throwing bricks, rocks etc at each other? We don't know yet. But let's wait and see as the matter continues to unfold.

No matter how this ends, the 52 year old businessman has gained a lot of notoriety over this matter and might be fit to star in his own Nollywood production, sometime later in the future. 

MERCY AIGBE HAS GOTTEN HER GROOVE BACK

Nollywood's top actress Mercy Aigbe formerly with Gentry added to the name has since gotten her groove back, since her husband was incarcerated for alleged assault and battery (domestic violence).

By virtue of her recent postings on her social media handle, especially her Instagram page, we have been able to gauge her current state of mind, which is groovy, with her even proclaiming that "Diablo" that's the devil in Spanish, can't try to hold her back or stop her, as she fringes into the new week. We are totally loving the fact, that she's doing all she can, to get the stress of the domestic violence thing off, so she can move forward. We hear that the number 1 thing she's asking for, is the assurance that if and when her estranged husband, Lanre is released from incarceration, she would be safe as he was supposed to have threatened her life.

The good part of the whole imbroglio is that at least, the Canary has also been stopped for a while from just singing and singing, with discordant tone.

THE SINGING CANARY KNOWN AS LANRE GENTRY GETS KIRIKIRI

Mercy AIGBE formerly with Gentry added to her name is bent and making sure her case with her estranged husband gets to the final conclusion.

After raising the alarm over supposed death threats made by her husband to eliminate her, she seems to have won the initial round of their battle royale.

The feelers we have gotten is that for not been able to perfect the bail condition that was specified, which was N500,000 and 2 sureties in like sum also, he was remanded in Kirikiri, till he would be able to meet the conditions.

Maybe now at least, there would be a lull in the singing ability of Mr. Gentry at least for a while now.

Mercy's estranged husband Lanre has a damning case hanging over his neck as instituted by his soon to be ex-wife, and he would need a very smart lawyer to get himself out of this avoidable and unnecessary mess. The story of the CAT scan showing a cracked skull, might have tilted​ the case against him.

Oya, let's talk about the Mercy Aigbe/Lanre Gentry Scandal....

First and foremost, I pity men who marry women on the fast lane, it is a very, very terrible experience that one must not find himself. A man must be able to not only marry a woman that suits his personality, but must be able to train his woman to suit his sanity.

Yoruba, the language of the gods says "Ile Oko, Ile Eko" (The husband's house is a new school of learning). But, unfortunately, majority of women today, don't want to live by this principle. They want to live large, have fast lane friends and earn fat figured things like cars, houses, jewelries and landed properties without much ado.

They want to either live a crisis laden life style or simply live a lie. And if you are not a man who can be BLIND to all their theatrics, then, you are not a feminist. In fact, you are an animal.

I sincerely sympathize with Mr. Gentry. And I equally sympathize with men who are calling his head for cut, and who fail to see many of the societal pot holes actresses in Nollywood industry have led themselves to either by fault or default.

Last year, I promised to offer my opinion on the Tiwa Savage/TeelBillz issue but i couldn't make do with my intention. I hope what I make out of this one will be good enough to glean the theatrics of the old issue.

The bird known as the canary like all other birds, is a wonder of nature. One of the bird's greatest attributes, is the ability to sing continuosly none stop, for those that enjoys the voice of birds, it's like something sonorous to them, but for those who haven't gotten to the level of enjoying the art, it's pure noise and a disturbance. Mr. Lanre Gentry has adopted the bird as his symbol it seems. Since the scandal between his wife and himself broke, he has been singing none stop. Maybe Mercy might need to get a gag order too now!

Despite all said about him and even despite the restraining order against him, he has continued to maintain, he never touched his wife recently and has never beaten her before.

He has even gone a notch up now, claiming his estranged wife is mentally unbalanced! Shocking? Yes very very shocking. By saying this is he doing himself any good? We don't know, maybe it would work in the long run though. He claims that MERCY has mental issues, and that she's been taken to very many places to source for help and healing and that he has evidence to prove it.

MERCY VS.LANRE. MERCY AIGBE WINS ROUND ONE. GETS RESTRAINING ORDER

The last obviously has not been heard in the case of assault and battery (domestic violence) instituted by the gorgeous famous actress against her husband, Lanre Gentry.

Though the actress has kept mum and has not spoken officially since the scandal hit the airwaves, her actions though has been telling. While she claims that her husband over the years had consistently used her to practice his boxing and beating skills! Lanre on his part, who has been singing like a mixture of canary and nightingale since the scandal broke, has denied ever beating his wife, not to talk of pummeling her ceaselessly. He went on to claim that he loves his wife so much.

To show how serious the matter is to Mercy and not willing to.back down, she's bent on making sure the whole matter reach its absolute conclusion. She has now gotten a "restraining order" against her beleaguered husband. As it is now, Lanre Gentry has been restrained from going within a mile radius of his estranged wife and 2 kids. That's like winning round one for the actress and thus also giving credence somewhat to her claim of domestic violence.

How would Lanre Gentry, get himself out of this mess now? .............We wait as things unfold.

The last has not been heard in the wife pummeling saga that has renowned Nigerian actress, Mercy Aigbe-Gentry on the receiving end.

After the actress left her home days back vowing not to return to her husband ever again over allegations of battery and assault (domestic violence), the last seems not to have been heard about the saga.

At first after the beautiful actress accused her husband of persistent violence and battery and claims that's why she wouldn't ever return to her matrimonial home, the husband in his own counter claim, as said he was not a wife batterer and as never ever been one, but now went on to accuse his wife of persistent infidelity.

The drama from what is the latest on it is that, there is the news going about on the possibility that Mr. Gentry might soon be sued or prosecuted by the state government for domestic violence. According to the gist, the agency saddled with the protection of women in the state, Lagos State Ministry of WOMEN affairs, has already begun preliminary investigation into the allegation of battery and assault depending on the outcome, Mr. Gentry might have a case on his head.

After years of pummeling nonstop, Mercy finally said no more to the drama last week. She is said to have been the one that reported the case of battery and assault herself at the ministry.
